Just a note to Groupon users who forgot their "use by" dates - Groupon reimburses businesses when users redeem their Groupons. Ergo, if you screw up and miss your deadline, it's not that Andrea wouldn't honor your discount - it's that she doesn't get paid at all.
Don't hate the playa (who does absolutely give great wax, by the way) hate the game.
This is but one of my beefs with Groupon, which I think is kind of a scam anyway.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Did not enjoy my wax. It was very painful, more than usual. The woman was short with me and made no effort and having a conversation. She exuded the attitude of--hurry up, get out, and don't come back. No worries, I won't be back.

Andrea is a crack up. She is a no nonsense business woman. She will be waxing your most private petals while taking appointments on her Blue tooth. It's hysterical and honestly makes me feel less self conscious about being completely bare.
One time she was talking on the phone having a fight with a girl who apparently came in and Andrea said she didn't have enough growth because it needs to be two weeks. The girl said it was two weeks and she wasn't going to let Andrea near her ^%*+. Andrea said u dint want near your %**}} e en if you beg cause I know what two weeks looks like. It was hilarious. Andrea looked at me and said,"I'm a waxer. That's what I do. "
On the business note she will give first timers a discount. She Will keep you comfortable even if you haven't done it before. If you get a Brazilian she calls your private part your rosebud.

I went in with a groupon and got a full montina (everything off). Granted this was my first and only time, so I'm reviewing based on one experience, but Andrea does the waxing here, and that's who I had. One thing I liked a lot was that it was extremely fast, probably less then ten minutes. I wasn't super thrilled to strip down in front of her though no biggie since she was going to see it all anyway, plus she makes you quite comfortable through the whole quick process. Parking is easy cause there are the residential streets off of Ventura.
What I wasn't pleased with is the fact that there are sporadic hairs left all over...not little ones that hadn't grown out yet, but actual hair that was just ignored due to how fast the whole thing was. I do appreciate, however, that I don't have any bumps, which I have gotten occasionally after waxes. Another strange thing was that it isn't really a totally full Brazilian wax since the inside of your cheeks aren't waxed (sorry to be so detailed, but basically it's not as complete of a full wax as you would get at other waxing places). Also, the price is the same as my regular (and amazing) waxing place, stark in silverlake, a place where every detail (or hair) is taken care of and the waxers are amazing. Basically Andrea's just feels rushed, and the resulting wax shows it. -

I will join the many satisfied customers and happily give this place 5 stars.
Andrea is super friendly, super efficient, fast, and gives an almost pain-free wax.
I came here because I needed to get nearly every hair on my face ripped out (brows, nostrils, lip, chin, neck -- yes, I'm a beast) and I had a Groupon.
She did such a great job on all that, I had her do my sideburns (beast!!) too because I had been feeling like something had to be done about them.
My total was $84, which felt high at the time but (a) I had the coupon so why am I complaining? and (b) I really got a LOT done.
Plus, it's been 4 weeks and my brows and nostrils still look the same way they did after I got them waxed. So I'll definitely be back and happily pay non-coupon prices.
She also does eyelash extensions, which I might need to indulge in...
Her studio is clean, comfy, homey. She's a pro. I'm happy. :) -

So, I hadn't waxed in nearly 4 years. I had been shaving. I know, terrible, right? Given that I had made the situation worse by doing that, I was eager to find someone perfect to get me back in the game. Andrea was it. First of all, scheduling an appointment was super easy. I called Thursday, and Friday morning I was in to see her!
Her salon is adorably decorated and wonderfully inviting. It suits her personality perfectly. She made the experience so comfortable that after a few minutes, I didn't even care that I was completely bottomless.
Let's be honest, the worst thing about waxing is the pain. This is where Andrea is at her best. She is so quick that the pain is minimal to begin with, but beyond that she is keeps up a great conversation with you so you hardly notice what she is doing. And my goodness is she quick! I went for a Full Montina, as she calls it. Everything off. I was in and out in 7 minutes, and I'm not even kidding.
Post wax was a delight as well. No residue, no bruising, just wonderful bare skin.
New clients get $20 off their service, and returning customers get great discounts as well. Plus, she has LOADS of specials!

I've tried A LOT of salons in search of the best bikini wax - and have to say i think i've found it! Andrea is FANTASTIC!
She's PROFESSIONAL (which in the world of waxing is a lot less prevalent than you'd think), quick and friendly.
Before you know it - your wax is over and you're thinking - wait... doesn't it usually hurt way more than this?
This is the second time she's waxed me - no bruising, no ingrown hairs - she knows what she's doing. I have a friend who files down from San Fran to see her & now I know why. I'm not going anywhere else either! -

I hardly felt a thing (Brazilian).
Andrea knows exactly what to do and her space is comfortable. Pricing is MORE than reasonable.
Not sure what else to say. Don't tell anyone I get my woo woo crack waxed! :-) -

I've always been a fan of Flirt Salon, and I still am, but last month cash was tight and Andrea was offering a Groupon, so in I went. Andrea herself was friendly and personable, and not too chatty. To me, that's a big positive. I know lots of ladies must like to have an involved conversation while they're getting the hair ripped from their delicate areas to distract from the pain, but to me it's just supremely awkward. Just let me take the pain in peace! With Andrea I was in and out in 5 minutes flat -- no idea how she did it. And get this: ZERO ingrowns. ZERO. That's unprecedented for me. I'd recommend her to anyone.

I have been going to Andrea for about 5 years. She is fabulous, you do not want to take chances on a bikini wax - go see Andrea! Andrea knows what she's doing and always makes your visit fun. She's a sweet and caring person with lots of personality, you'll barely notice she's actually waxing you! She also does great eyelash extensions, and I love her location, lots of easy street parking and great shops around her.

Girls & boys, if you've been looking for an awesome waxer look no further! Andrea is amazing, end of story. I've been going to her for over ten years now - she actually makes getting a brazilian fun. Really. She does a great job, gets it done fast and is affordable. What more could you ask for when it comes to hair removal? She doesn't do credit cards however - cash and checks only. But she's worth it.

I've been going to Andrea since back in the day when she was in a tiny room in the rear of Yellow Balloon kids salon. Her new digs are roomy and easy to access and her waxing technique is quick and comforting. She's a delight to chat up and her hours make it easy to schedule appointments. She keeps my brows in check without making them overarched or too thin. What more can a hairy gal ask for?

I had never gone in for a Brazilian wax until today. I thought it was time I stopped with the razor, but I was extremely hesitant. I am just getting comfortable with my gynecologist, and I've been seeing her for 10 years.
Luckily, all of my nervous thoughts and fears were immediately put at ease. Andrea is so sweet, soft spoken, and extremely professional. She immediately got to work, but kept a conversation going so I wasn't too caught up on the details of what she was actually doing. Granted, it's not a completely painless experience, but I was still surprised at how quick she was. In and out in 6 minutes, it's a beautiful thing. -

I hadn't gotten waxed for nearly a year (insert gasps here) and my search for an affordable, geographically advantageous waxer led me to Andrea's. Andrea is a true professional. She is very honest, efficient, and attentive, and it is clear she is a master of the craft. She even has a little technique to help you deal with the pain. This was a much better experience than going to an impersonal salon where you never know who will be working on you. Highly recommend!

She's really good!!!
I've been to a lot of waxers and Andrea is by far one of the best.
She is hilarious and makes you feel at ease. Minimal pain and there was zero wax residue afterwards which is pretty important to me.
She's not a steal but she knows what she's doing. -

I just moved back into town after 2 years and my first stop was Andrea's. No one I have ever been to compares to her. Funny, Friendly and Fast, Andrea has skills. It is so nice to come home after a personal wax and not find any hair missed or have my undies stuck to my tush!
She has specials throughout the week, I would suggest going to her website for more information. They are actually a significant savings!
I love Andrea and will continue going there and telling anyone who will listen to go there too! -

When I purchaed my groupon to Andreas waxing studio i went on line to check it out, it said she's the best and made you feel confortable and so on.. Well, when i called to make an appointment not realizing it had expired by one day, i called and Andrea answered saying just hello. I asked if this was Andreas and she said yes, I then asked if I could set up an appointment she said NO my groupon had expired BY ONE DAY mind you, i asked if she would still honor it? No she couldnt be bothered, I explained that I had never had a wax, she said youve NEVER had a wax? Like I was some sort of a freak, Well if this is the experence I will get with my first, I think I will A. not go to Andreas for any service, rude, rude rude!

This is the second time I have gotten waxed. The first time I DID NOT ENJOY MY EXPERIENCE.... So I looked for a new salon, and through Yelp found Andrea!!!!

I was looking for a wax with someone who was patient, as I am a huge wimp when it comes to this. This place is wonderful. Shelly was amazing. She was so nice to me, and really took time. It hurt the least out of any wax I have had. It was on the pricey end, but I don't mind paying for quality.

i had never been waxed before and was terrified after years of hearing how painful and horrible it is. i went to Andrea and now i'm addicted! i'll never touch a razor again! not only did she do an amazing job but she herself as a person is just as great! she makes you feel so comfortable that 10 minutes in, you don't even realize you're laying on the table with no underwear! she's a natural and she makes the whole experience feel natural easy.
her studio is great too. ample parking and she has thought of everything a girl could need in a waxing studio. i've never gotten waxed by anyone else so i can't compare... but i never want to! if you need a wax, go see Andrea! -

Unfortunately, I decided 3 months ago I would get my first waxing in a few years (from getting pregnant to having a baby and then being a working mom, ugh!), so I bought the Groupon for Andrea's after reading great reviews. Usually Groupon sends reminders, but they didn't and when I realized on Friday that I wanted to get a waxing over the weekend, I called, only to find out she wasn't open again until Tuesday (realizing that Tuesday was the day the Groupon expired). I left a message for Andrea, asking if she had any appointments or if she would possibly consider letting me use it anyway. I got a call back saying she only had from 11-2 open (I work) and then she berated me saying, "Well, you HAVE had 3 months to use it, so I don't know what to tell you. And no, I won't expend it" (Yes, she said expend). I was looking forward to finding a new waxing place, but after getting Andrea's message making me feel like a child, I won't be giving her my money.
