After a bad experience at the Forestville location, we backtracked here to this Andorno's.
The food was great! The pizza was was hot and was loaded with toppings.
The staff was friendly and did a great job.
If your in the area, ( even on 101 and don't mind a 15 mile detour) this is a great place to eat and worth the detour. -

I ordered a pie plus a side for delivery, came fairly fast and was piping hot! + 1 star
Phone service was polite delivery lady was very nice +1 star.
plate and fork neccessary for the pie, dough not sure if it was hand tossed or delivered guessing delivered, was ok. Pizza as a whole tasty as any other. side of jalapeno poppers (mostly frozen) still good.+1 star.
Prices were about average for a pizza joint. +0 stars. -

Really good pizza in Guerneville. Fresh ingredients and hand ground meats. I honestly have had much worse elsewhere.

Review from Ryan L.
About six friends and I went here last weekend. It was decent but I'd prefer to go elsewhere. We stopped for a late lunch about 3pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones in the restaurant. We looked at the menu and we ordered sandwiches. There was a guy taking orders and an older guy cooking. The older guy flipped out because everyone was ordering sandwiches and he said that would take a long time so we'd just have to wait. It was really strange and upsetting.
After we ordered we sat out on the patio at a table. Our sandwiches arrived in five minutes, which wasn't bad at all. The last sandwich ordered was a little later, but it wasn't bad.
I got the Italian Sandwich. Others got the Chicken Parmesan sandwich. Both were good but pretty small. It's probably a 6-7" sandwich for $9 that came with a bag of chips.
It would have been better if the service was friendlier. If they don't want me to go back and get a sandwich when the restaurant is dead, I won't. -

Came in on a slow Sunday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. It was nice to see an actual pizza oven since so many places don't have them anymore.
We sat on the outdoor patio out back and had it to ourselves for most of the time. The pizzas were great, especially the sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. I like how they grate or grind up the sausage. I had a small salad which was fresh.
The service was friendly and welcoming. -

The staff was kind and quick, and got our order absolutely correct. We had our dog with us and ate out front at one of the two tables.
Thing is, the pizza was nothing to write home about, sadly. I did check out the deck before we left, and it's LOVELY--would love to eat out there next time.
And I will give it a next time. But I'll try the pasta or some other non-pizza item that time. -

Pleasanton, CA
Nice little place to grab a bite to eat.
Good pizza (made in a REAL pizza oven) and hot sandwiches.
The place kind of needs a face-lift, but reminds you of the old time pizza parlors. Great deck in the back.
Very nice staff and quick services. -
Review from Terry T.
S had told me to have a just a little snack before we went to Guerneville because there would be a lot of food where we were going. He was wrong there wasn't anything, so based on a recommendation from a stranger we went here.
We shared a seafood stack, soup, and spaghetti with meatballs.
I made the mistake of saying I did not care for meatballs--S ate them both before I could evaluate their taste. I did like the garlic bread that came with our order. The spaghetti was okay. The Chicken Gumbo soup didn't bring to mind a taste of Louisiana, but it was good, if a bit bland and there was a lot of chicken in it. The seafood stack was on a 1/2 loaf of French bread and baked in the pizza oven and it was quite good even if it lacked zip, the bread was crispy and the sea food was not over cooked. I would've liked to try the pizza, but S and I can never agree on the toppings and there were only two by-the-slice choices, pepperoni or cheese.
The food was good, nothing trendy, just an old-fashion pizza parlor. What I really enjoyed was the friendly service and the cozy warm neighborhood feeling of this restaurant. It made the meal really enjoyable. -

A pitcher of beer on the back deck, some hot poppers and a chicken-artichoke pizza make for a nice relaxing summer dinner in Guerneville. The town has its limits on moderate priced dining and Adorno's fits the bill for casual affair.

For years, this has been a pretty safe bet. I enjoyed the food for what it was (small town Italian fare). I was with Ryan L. so you can pretty much just read his review and that's my feeling on this place. I will say, the guy who took our orders did apologize for the gruff behavior of the guy who made the comment about sandwiches taking a long time to make.
I'd go back, but my expectations are incredibly low, so I always leaving satisfied. -

Santa Rosa, CA
The only thing good about this place is they serve a German beer called Bitburger, and they carry the Non_alchoholic Bitburger.
But the service made you feel like you weren't welcome. The pizza crust wasn't cooked all the way and was soggy in the middle. There was audible complaining from the staff about other customers (children) and we were there on a busy night in Guerneville, which most stores would be glad about but it totally seemed like they would rather just be slow so they could go home early.... Next time,...well there won't be a next time. -

Would of LOVED to give 5 stars but the chubby white guy behind the counter was rude & made us feel like we were interupting his quiet time......but enough about him..........my boyfriend & I ordered a small pizza with cajun sauce, cajun sausage, chicken, & bell peppers...which was big (8 good sized slices) & garlic fries.........food was YUMMY and the waitress who placed our pizza on our table unlike the chubby white guy who practically threw our garlic fries on the table was wonderful, the reason why we left a $10 tip for a $22 check too bad the tips are equally given to all the workers.........but 1 rude worker or not the place is good & we'll be back for sure

Review from Ed U.
Did you know there are two pizza parlors in Guerneville? That sounds like a turf war to me...maybe it's like "West Side Story", and they dance acrobatically on Main Street while they rumble to see who has the best crust. "When you're a bear, you're a bear all the way...from the first cigarette to your last dyin' day..."
Well, I don't know who's winning the rumble, but Andorno's is the small place right off the main square. They have an "outdoor patio in the rear" which sounded provocative until I realized they actually mean an outdoor patio in the back of their place. Jamie W. and I felt peckish after hiking for all of...two blocks from the car, so we felt a snack was in order.
We went for one of their garlic bread pizzas, Jim's Works for $8.95. It reminds me of those frozen Stouffer's ones I loved when I was in college. It even has the sausage that's all granulated to go with the pepperoni, salami, mushrooms and cheese. It wasn't bad, but it doesn't make me want to sing "Maria" either. Nonetheless, the patio is a nice treat on a gorgeous day if it doesn't get too crowded.
FOOD - 3 stars...kinda like a Stouffer's Garlic Bread Pizza...not necessarily a bad thing
AMBIANCE - 3.5 stars...nice view from the patio, otherwise a big bar with a teeny-tiny dining area
SERVICE - 3 stars...they do their jobs
TOTAL - 3 stars...there's a place for us...somewhere a place for usListed in: Northern Exposure for the Big…

Our first night in Russian River for a long weekend and we had every intention of grilling on our huge patio...that is until everyone had 5-6 drinks in them - all of a sudden PIZZA!! seemed like a life saver.
We called Andorno's and they quoted us 90 minutes for delivery...as soon as we hung up we had a sober volunteer to pick up the pizza. 30 minutes later and we were chowing down on some surprisingly tasty pizza.
Total cost for pizza and salads for 8 people - $60. Pretty good deal and we even had pizza left over for breakfast on Saturday! -

This place reminds me of a pizza joint straight out of the 80s.
It's not trying to be gourmet or hip.
It's just pizza. Really good pizza.
And jalapeno poppers!
And beer! -

In town for the race, my bf and I needed some carbs and fast! Easy to get to from the resort we were staying in, we walked down the hill into the cozy, narrow restaurant.
Immediately, I noticed a good variety of craft brews on tap. (Man, I love this part of California!) While waiting for our pizza, we took in some of the sassy manager's brash talk. She told off some loitering teen and yelled at her not to steal the toilet paper... again. Take that, grubby teenager!
This place must also be a hit in this town because calls and pick ups kept coming in, granted it was Friday night.
Carb loading on "Jim's favorite" (pepperoni, sausage and garlic) definitely hit the spot. I thought the cheese might be problematic for the run, but my tummy was sound as the pound. -

LOVE this place! During summer, we are always up in Guerneville/Russian River. Guerneville is very small, but we have found so many gems here. Like Andornos. As soon as we set up camp at Johnson's (usually right below Andorno's deck), we head over to get some pizza. Because it's such a small town every place is very homey feeling. Our big group usually takes the tables outside, which is perfect when it's hot. The little ones keep themselves busy with the games inside while we wait for the pizza. The pizza is delicious and filling, and again, that's coming from an Italian. If you're every driving through or camping in Guerneville go to Andorno's, you won't be disappointed.

Rio Nido, CA
I am down-right baffled by how Andorno's is still in business. Their pizza is over-priced and tastes no better than pizza of the frozen variety, and I don't mean passable pizza of the frozen variety like a DiGiorno or something. I mean really bad, frost-bitten pizza that has been hanging out next to the old mystery meal someone sealed away in a zip-lock bag in August of 2008. All of the ingredients taste canned, and I couldn't even begin to fathom why the dough is so hideous. It manages to taste cheap and soggy yet still somehow manages to be burnt. Time and time again I have ordered from Andorno's because there isn't much to choose from in town, and time and time again I have had to choke down a soggy, burnt pizza. And for this they charge $40 for a large disc of yuck.
The actual food isn't the worst of it however. The service and the staff of Andorno's make the un-palateable food a non-issue. Every time I have called to get an order delivered I have been made to feel like I should be groveling to the terse woman on the other end of the line. How DARE I ask for them to deliver soda other than a 2 liter of Pepsi!? What nerve I have! I was in a bit of a pinch tonight installing a stove and needed to get my children fed. It was either let the kiddos starve or order them a "pizza." (And believe me, those quotation marks are very much deserved.)
I apparently kept the delivery woman waiting too long at the door. Sure I answered in under a minute, but apparently I should have been sitting next to the door just waiting to jump at her knock. Who cares about the baby I am nursing and have to get situated, there's a woman waiting at the door who has to harbor the stress of holding 2.5 pounds of soggy dough! When I answered the door the woman was so incredibly rude to me about taking too long to answer the door, I opted to just close the door on her and figure out something else to feed the kids. As soon as I answered the door the woman began to berate me. I guess this shouldn't have been a surprise though. After all, it fits in with the entire attitude of the business, that of "how dare customers actually want us to do anything for them. Ugh." I was told they would no longer accept orders from me. This is the best news I have heard all night. -

Pacifica, CA
I didn't see any staff when I was there but the guy behind the counter. He was the bartender and cook, so after ordering my pizza, it took a few minutes for him to start actually making it. But it came out quick and was good pizza. I could have used more sauce on it and I'm used to the cheese being on top, not bottom.
I ordered a med pie with sausage and black olives. I loved the sausage, it was ground up and not big and chunky, which was a nice change. I ate 3 slices right away while hot, one for a late night snack and more cold, for breakfast. I was happy with all serving styles.
What bothered me about Andorno's was that their pizza station was out in the open. I didn't see flying insects, but were there to be any, there is nothing to stop them from landing all over the food. And not all the toppings were being kept cold. Some toppings were on ice in a tub, which would only keep the bottom cold. Other toppings just sat in containers on the table top; no lids, no refrigeration. How does this place pass inspection? I ordered about 11am, so I knew it hadn't been sitting for long. But had I ordered in the late afternoon, I would not have liked what I was seeing. -

OK so I've had a lot of pizza in my lifetime, and I have to say this was honestly the BEST pizza I've had in my life! I had the North Coast (pesto sauce, feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, roasted chicken) and it was to die for. You can tell that each pizza he makes is one of a kind, he puts so much into making each one perfect. The garden salad with Italian was also very good.
My husband and I had fun relaxing on the back patio eating our pizza and drinking our beer (they have a great selection, including German brews). They also have a small arcade if you've got little ones. We usually get a cabin once a year up there, and we can't wait to go back to Andorno's! -
Review from Gourmet G.
San Francisco, CA
This New York-born-and-bred boy generally likes his pizza free of frou-frou toppings, but this is one place that consistently manages to convince me that there's something to be said for a gourmet pie. Pride of Petaluma features oven-roasted chicken, garlic, and sun-dried tomatoes on a gorgonzola-based white sauce. The Philly Cheese Steak is piled high with thin slices of beef smothered in sauteed onions, jalapeno peppers, Cajun-style sauce, and three different cheeses. The North Coast is a mix of feta cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, and chicken on a blanket of pesto. An abundance of toppings justify the somewhat high prices. The menu also offers soup, salads, burgers and sandwiches, and a variety of pastas. A deck with shaded tables provides ample seating for alfresco dining. My one gripe? No free iced tea refills! What's with that?

Surprisingly good pizza, good prices, and a nice little patio in the back to soak up the sun. Our friends ordered the Greek and the Cajun pizza, both were really good, but the Greek pizza was fantastic. Everyone was happy with the pizza and the people who ordered salads were very satisfied with their meals too.

I am only giving one star to this place because Yelp requires at least one star. Andorno's in an incompetent delivery service with very rude employees, even for a pizza place in Guernville. You will likely get the wrong order and then it will be your fault if you send it back. We ordered four cheeses and got one seafood pizza. They refused to fix it because the seafood pizza we sent back "was very expensive to make." You should definitely call Main Street Pizza. They were delish and the delivery was quick.
We had about 10 people at a cabin on the Russian River for a bachelorette party. Around 6:30 PM, we called Andorno's an ordered 4 cheese pizzas to the cabin. No problem so far. 15 minutes later, some girls called again and asked to add a vegetarian pizza to the order. Still no problem.
Around 7:30 PM, the driver arrives at the cabin with one seafood pizza and a vegetarian pizza. We informed her that we would happily keep the veggie but we ordered four cheeses not one seafood. We had to call the pizza place to set it right because the driver (who I suspect has a serious meth habit, but who am I to judge on that point) had no idea. The dispatcher told us to tell the driver should bring back the entire order (including the veggie) and they would resend it. Another hour passes so we call to check on the status of the pizza. The "lady" on the end of the line said that they had already sent their driver home for the night because they close at 9. We told them that we had been waiting for these pizzas since 6:30 and they already told us they were going to fix the first order. She said that we had sent back "two very expensive pizzas and they couldn't afford to send more out to the house." The lady made zero to no sense in her arguments and they were the ones who (a) messed up the order and (b) insisted we send both pizzas back instead of one. The Andorno's lady was mad at us for some reason and refused to send out more pizzas. After she refused to send out the correct order, I should disclose that I was rather rude so she would probably not have very nice things to yelp about me as a person either.
The only good part of the phone call was that they referred us to Main Street Pizza who were open later and came (with the right order) within 30 mins. Our Main Street delivery driver, Meghan, was also awesome and very friendly. -

We loved the pizza! This place came highly recommended by a local resident so we went and we weren't disappointed. We ordered pizza, bread and drinks. In my opinion, this was the best pizza and bread I've ever had. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will visit them whenever I'm in the area.

My husband picked up a pizza for us from here to bring back to our cottage we were renting for the weekend. For health reasons, I couldn't walk to go out to eat and that was making me need some cheesy delicious comfort food.
The cheese on the pizza was good...
We got a small The Works pizza (the one with pepperoni, sausage, olives, peppers, mushrooms, etc). There were plenty of toppings, they definitely didn't skimp on the sausage. Most places do little balls of sausage, but this place did ground sausage, which was an interesting texture. I'm not sure if I liked it or not. The olives weren't a great brand- they tasted like they came out of a paint can. The sauce was tasty and there was a good amount of it.
The problem was the crust. It was too thin, to begin with, to support all those toppings. Secondly, it wasn't cooked all the way through. The first slice or two (I was hungry and eating pretty quickly) I confused the squishyness with cheese. Nope, it was gooey unbaked crust. I managed to eat another half a slice, trying to avoid the middle of the pie which was especially undercooked and quite gross.
Also, this small pizza cost us around 19 bucks- not including tip (which my husband now tells me he didn't do, thank goodness).
Maybe it was a fluke, but I don't think we'll go here again if we visit Guerneville. -

San Francisco, CA
The hubby was craving pizza, but we were too lazy to drive far, so we stopped by Andorno's. I have to agree with most of the reviews that the pizza is just average, but the service is subpar. The girls that work here are extremely unfriendly. They act like you're showing up at their house expecting them to make dinner for you or something, rather than being grateful that you've come to spend your money in this average place. I would have given them 3 stars because our salad was decent and we had a good draft beer at the bar while we waited for our pie, but they're only getting 2 stars because of the unfriendly vibe. Someone should open a gourmet pizza joint with good beer and friendly service in this small town; they'd clean up!

This place is as good as it gets, that is if you are buying frozen pizza from you local 7-11, actually the pizza was ok - it is just that after waiting 75 minutes the pizza could not recover the moment. The biggest problem was that the women working there were RUDE - not like kinda impolite, but like - slap me in the face RUDE. Please don' t go there - they were not nice to our group of 7 - oh and do not ask for extra Ranch dressing - they said if they gave everyone extra Ranch dressing , they would go out of business, on second thought............

Ate there about four years ago and remembered it being fantastic. Not sure if they've changed, I've changed, or I prefer my memories fuzzy and happy, but this time around it was good but not great.
Got a large pie with mushrooms and half sausage, half olive, to go. $22 out the door. Not particularly big for a large, but it turned out to be quite filling. Was still plenty hot by the time we ate it at our rental place, which was very close by.
Crust was a little chewy for my liking but fresh and flavorful. Cheese was too white and bland - I like the yellow/orange NYC-style cheese with its salty tang, and this didn't have it. Sauce was pretty good, toppings were fresh, sausage was the crumble-style and pretty tasty.
All in all it'll do you right if you're in town and craving some 'za, but I woudn't go out of my way for it. Though it's got a nice patio out back and a cozy, no-frills bar with some microbrews on tap if you want to watch the game and catch some local color while you eat. -

San Francisco, CA
I thought the food we got here was poor. For a pizza place they really do not seem to know how to make good pizza and the spaghetti was trying to hard. This is not a gourmet place, and they tried to make some sort of puttanesca with meatballs. Bad news.

With a patio overlooking the river you can't go wrong! This is a modest little pizzeria that serves yummy American-Italian fare at great prices. I had a wonderful lunch here with my husband. We were starving one late summer afternoon and were in the mood for some pizza, cold Cokes and salad. We were not let down!

Review from Sarah D.
This place has always had a lousy vibe. I remember back in the day when it was Jerk's. Funny considering the Jerk's were nice and the current Andorno's staff sucks. The reason I give the second star is because the pizza isn't half bad. There aren't many choices in G-ville so sometimes I just go with it...

OMG! Can we say delicious garlic bread? Stopped into Andorno's for breakfast/lunch to go on a rainy day a few weeks ago on a trip out to Salt Point. We ordered a meatball and mushroom calzone and some garlic bread.
The place was adorably small-town pizza-parlorish. The kid at the register was the nicest ever and he clearly knew what he was doing as he was both the cashier, server and pizza maker that morning. He mentioned his dad is the owner.
I'd been craving a calzone for who knows how long and I suppressed my immature need to giggle ( because "calzon" with an accent on the "o" means underwear in Spanish and whenever I see it on a menu, I can't help but think about underwear. Not just plain underwear, either, big 'ol granny panties. Silly, yes, I know, considering how delicious they can be but whenever I order them I chuckle at the fact that I'm ordering something who's name is shared by the word underwear in Spanish) and I took a chance and ordered it after I saw it on the menu. I've been disappointed more often than not with calzones from many places because I generally order veggie ones and HATE when the veggie juices sog up the inside of the calzone and make the dough gummy and wet and make the cheese cold. The calzone was HUGE and everything a calzone should be. The dough was golden, perfectly baked and not too too tough or chewy. The calzone had meatballs and mushrooms with ricotta cheese and was equally well filled with all the ingredients. The meatballs were juicy and tender, not at all greasy or dry.
The garlic bread was crisp on the surface and not too soggy from butter in the center and flavorful. It had a little bit of spice to it (maybe paprika?) and a nice color. -

Honestly good pizza. Great place to go after a lazy day of kayaking. Four of shared a mushroom pizza (small), each had 2 slices. Crust is fresh, cheese is the right gooey, stringiness...Just plain ol' good pizza. And nice people coming to check that things are right.
