Review from Esther A.
After canoeing 10 grueling miles down Russian River in the toasty oven-like degree heat, we decided we were craving some greasy, fattening, caloric and carb-infested pizza.
We came across here (near a postoffice. Never seen so many post offices over a course of a weekend. And it's funny the address listed is a PO Box.) and I honestly felt like I was a whole entire state away rather than an hour and a half away from the city.
During the time we came in the place was basically was run by just one person basically a one man show. He took orders, I think he even made the pizza and cut and served the pies. He was efficient but I think I waited about half an hour for my pizza. My friends were done with their pizza by the time mine arrived so I was kinda irked. (I get pissy when I get hungry) My food finally arrived and I have to say it was just OK. Not bad but nothing to write home about but I scarfed down that thing and even burned the roof of my mouth in the process b/c I was so damn hungry.
If I go back canoeing at Burkes, I may be back. But only for the convenience factor and b/c I heard its the only pizza place in the area. -

I have never heard anything good about this place.
Ate there once and all the food seemed canned/frozen/etc.
Just drove by there today and see that it has closed and it says -
"Coming Soon - Forestville Pizzeria"
I hope Forestville will finally get a decent pizza shop.
(Fingers crossed). -

We walked in and heard the owner totally verbally abusing an employee in front of other customers, should have left
We were waiting for another person and decided to have a beer. We were told by the owner we couldn't order beer without food, should have left
Ordered an over priced pizza that took 35 mins, should have left
All three of us got sick, wont go back -

Last night, a group of 10 of us went to this restaurant to have something to eat after a long day. I actually called first, at about 7:15, to be sure they were open and to find out where they were.
My first hint of a problem should have been that the kid who answered the phone did not know the address of the store, then when I made it clear I needed an address (for the GPS you understand...and yes, I was polite) he got a bit put off.
Anyway, I said we would be there in about 20 minutes.
At no time did was I told we could not stay there.
20 minutes later we arrived at ~7:35pm.
Once inside, the young kid behind the counter told us that while they would make us Pizza(s), we had to leave, as they were closing in 25 minutes. (8 pm) This, despite there being other people in the restaurant eating.
Our group consisted of 3 children (one a 2 month old) 2 seniors, and 5 adults). Not a rowdy, or obnoxious bunch!
Several of us spoke the the kid, but he insisted that we could not eat there. (So what? He was he going to kick the other diners out at 8?)
I did ask to speak with the manager, but the kid said he was in charge.
We drove out of our way to go to this restaurant., but this kid did not want our business.
In all fairness, there is another Andorno's in Guerneville, and the staff there was GREAT! And the pizza was really good.
Just don't bother with the Forestville location.
UPDATE:
I did speak with the owner this morning and he was very apologetic, and assured me that was not how it should have been.
(Based on the wonderful service in his Guerneville location, I believe him) -

Every time I go to Andorno's I swear to myself : never again. But being a Forestville resident the restaurant options are limited and eventually a few months go by and I forget how bad they are and give them another chance . . . only to be dissapointed yet again.
Terrible service. Let me repeat: TERRIBLE SERVICE. Mediocre food. Perpetually empty of patrons. How they are still In business is mind boggling.
Do yourself a favor and go somewhere (anywhere) else. -

Things must have changed since the last reviews - because the pizza was fabulous - from the merlot red sauce to the beer infused pizza crust.... we loved the food and the great service there!
