The food was excellent!!! And the customer service?! Mo and Marco made my Mother and I feel like we were VIP guests! I don't think I've ever had the waiter place my cloth napkin on my lap for me. I have shied away from mussels because of a bad experience but Mo insisted I tried them here...Im glad he bent my arm to try them because they were great! And not to mention the sautéed calamari as well!
The low lighting was nice. Very relaxing place to enjoy a nice meal!
We will definitely be back! -

Ever the procrastinator, I needed to find a place to have my birthday dinner for 12 people just a few days in advance. Moe was super nice on the phone, and told us to ask for him when we got there. FYI - he mentioned that if we were to split the check they'd just divide the amount evenly. Not an issue for us, but good to know in advance!
The food and service were incredible. When several of us down the table ordered the same wine unbeknownst to one another, Moe just brought us out a bottle to keep the cost down. Maintaining the wino status for cheaper? Always a plus. We were taken care of throughout the several hours we were there, and didn't feel rushed or hovered around at all.
And the food? YUM. I got the pasta with Italian sausage and let's just say it was gone and quickly. I tried bites of my friends' seafood pasta and eggplant parm, and it was all delish. The bread they brought out was good and crusty, and I got free cheesecake fed to me for my birthday! They also gave me a keychain, which is now a happy reminder of a great dinner.
Long story short, everybody seemed really happy with their food and we all had a great time. Will definitely be back! -

It's been a little while, but my memory of this place is: very pleasant atmosphere (good decor, relatively quiet, very easy to hold a quiet conversation with your table), good service (attentive without lingering too often), better than average food. I've had several fish dishes here, and they were all prepared perfectly. The wine list was also pretty decent. The bill did add up very quickly, but I felt I got my money's worth here, moreso than the other similarly priced restaurants in the neighborhood. This would be a nice spot for a romantic dinner.

Went here to celebrate my birthday. I had never been before, but trusted the other reviews for fellow Yelpers. I'm so glad I did! I love to try new places..something my fiance doesn't like to do, so I took a chance on this one. Again, so glad I did! From the Hostess to our waitress to the owner visiting our table a few times... the service was top notch!!!! AND THE FOOD?... Well, AMAZING! We eached ordered something different and passed it around. If only Italian food was healthier for you, we'd be going every week. Don't let the outside of the building fool you, once you walk through those doors, it is quite cozy, you'll experiencing exceptional service and eat the most amazing Italian food!

We've come here on many occasions and every time I leave happy that I went. We like to come here on our birthdays.
The place is darkly lit to set the mood. I like to take pictures so I like things bright. Plus the fact that dimly lit settings make me sleepy, it's not for me, but we keep coming back.
There's complimentary bread. "You look nice today in that dress/tie," it says. It's a perfect vehicle to get the lightly salted butter from the plate to your stomach.
I almost always find myself going back to the Braciole di Maiale al Gradigo, it's a crab meat stuffed pork chop. It's the best pork chop in town. It comes with a side of linguine Alfredo and by itself would be superb - as a side dish it's a perfect match. The wife usually gets Chicken Marsala and enjoys it thoroughly.
The service is always top-notch. We're never short on water or bread.
It's usually pretty dead on Monday's, so that's a good time to go if you don't like crowds or waiting.
Andiamo in Italian means "we go". Indeed, Andiamo all the time and Andiamo for the food, service and ambiance. -

This was my first time dining here. It can be a nice romantic spot or gathering with some friends. Either way, you're going to enjoy the atmosphere. The waiters, specifically, Moe, was fantastic. The appetizers were great. We had the crab claws and calamari and I recommend both, especially the crab claws.
As for the entree, order the stuff crab pork chops. They're nice size and the crab "stuffing" was so tasty. You'll receive larger portions so be prepared to grab a to go box.
Yes, I will be going back again! -

Great find on Yelp! My colleague and I stumbled upon this place and weren't sure what to expect since it shares a driveway with a gas station. Fortunately, the food was delicious!
I had the Penne al Salmon which is penne with salmon in a vodka alfredo sauce, pretty nice.
Lee, trying to be healthy, had the Penne alla Rustica. I was jealous. Pasta with tomatoes over grilled vegetables sounded like it could be risky and bland, but it had great flavor.
You can't go wrong starting with the Minestrone soup.
Despite our rule to try a new restaurant every night, we've already returned once and I expect we'll become regulars as long as we're working in Addison. -

My first taste of this classic restaurant in Addison: and what a great taste it was!
First - this is a classic Italian restaurant in every sense. From decor to service to cuisine, do not expect anything resembling 'cutting edge'. With that said, Andiamo is the place you go to revel in the standards of food and service that make dining out so enjoyable!
Mo, our knowledgeable and friendly server, was automatic. Not a step was missed or overlooked. I had just flown in and was visiting with my Mother, and he was able to read our table and know not to be too intrusive.
Mother had the crab stuffed shrimp with pasta. Granted, she never met a shrimp she didn't like, but she LOVED this dish. Rich, flavorful, and filling.
For myself, I followed the majority of reviews and got the stuffed pork chops with fettuccine Alfredo. The pork was great, tasty and rich. However, it was the Alfredo that made the dish amazing. Not sure what it was, there was an herbal quality to the taste that really made it special. And you know it was legit, because it wasn't dripping with cream - the more condensed sauce clung to the pasta like it's supposed to. Too many Italian wannabes just drown the pasta in cream and that's all you taste. Not so at Andiamo!!
So, overall, 5 stars to Mo and Andiamo. Keeping the tradition of service and quality alive in Addison, after all these years! -

Two work colleagues and I had a wonderful dinner. The calamari recommended by the waiter was among the best I've had. I had the Gamberi Ripieni alla Cipriani (Jumbo shrimp stuffed with crabmeat with light tomato Pernod sauce) was fantastic. The portion was a bit large and I couldn't eat it all.
My colleagues had the chicken parm and salmon rebecca and were also impressed with their dishes.
Our waiter, David, was outstanding. Andiamo's is a terrific value. -

Brought a girl here for a date- it was a success. Pleasant service (although he awkwardly gave us his business card at the end of the meal?), great food, semi-expensive menu, over-priced wine list. All in all, good for a date but make sure the date is worth it- baha!

As someone who has frequented the Restaurant Row of Beltline for years with lackluster success, I am embarassed that it took me so long to try this place! Our party of 6 came in on a Saturday night and all of us enjoyed our food. Thanks to the recommendation of fellow yelpers I tried the seafood stuffed pork chop over fettucini alfredo - it was even on special with shrimp parmesean. I was the happiest person there.
I was really pleasantly surprised by the tomato mozzarella salad - everything is so fresh that you literally make it yourself. They serve you a red sliced tomato, some fresh basil sprigs, two sizable mounds of mozzarella, and place the balsamic and olive oil bottles to your left. Tear into that basil and make it your own! Thankyouverymuch!
My friends were pleased with the tortellini, the baby shrimp in lobster sauce, veal special and lobster bisque. This is no Olive Garden.
I'll be back. -
Review from Stan L.
i came here for lunch recently.. i noticed sometime they don't have the open sign on.. but they are in fact open 11-2 for lunch.. i guess the blinds are closed because it's so damn hot right now..
they have a 12.95 three course lunch menu which looks awesome.. i opted for the capellini with red sauce and a side caesar salad..
the complimentary bread is fresh.. crusty on the outside.. soft and warm middle.. very tasty..
the salad was fresh.. not overly dressed.. simple yet tasty
the capellini was slightly overcooked.. i guess it tends to do that since it's such a thin pasta.. but it wasn't overtly soft.. the red sauce is very flavorful.. and not really oily..
i will definitely be coming back to try some of the other dishes which other people ordered.. -

OMG, food-gasm. Andiamo serves up casual elegance in a way Olive Garden (the comparison is non-existent) can only dream. The Fuzz and I have been here twice, and each time we've been incredibly impressed by the food, atmosphere, and service.
The perfectly-lit one-room/intimate dining area is so cozy that conversation flows freely. Be patient if you're one of those "I've been sitting here for 5 seconds, flock to me o ye waiters" kind of people. This is a (non-snotty) dining EXPERIENCE, so the staff likes to let you settle in and let the day's cares slide off before approaching you. Both of the waiters I've had have been so knowledgeable about the menu and wine list I'm prone to jealousy.
The food is excellence incarnate. The sauces, the meats, the pasta....served perfectly cooked and at the right temperature in large portions.
The wine list is quaint, but exceptionally diverse and careful to include snotty selections (ugh, Opus One, you are NOT $225 worth of cool) and several wonderfully-priced selections (some easily recognized, some not). Andiamo is one of the few places I completely trust to make a wine suggestion that I know I'll absolutely love.
When you go (and you WILL go), get the full experience: appetizer, wine, main course, and by gawd don't skip dessert. The cheesecake is a cut above (only Saltgrass beats it). Try their specials or a seafood dish. And then, go back at least once a month.
Beltline Rd in Addison is LITTERED with restaurants, and this one is among the best. Its on the corner of Midway, across from Duke's and squished between a Shell station and a new string-o-shops. Go. Go now!!Listed in: Top Restaurants

I dined here last week when a friend suggested we meet at a quiet place in Addison where we could take our time and talk for a couple of hours.
She was delighted with the atmosphere and the food as I was.
I typically order the sole Andiamo because I love fish and it is sooo good. I have had a few other pasta dishes there that were good, but I keep coming back for the sole!
We were bad and split the cappicino pie. It was delicious. I also love their Tiramisu.
The fact that the Chanti is good an reasonably priced for Dallas area helps too. -

Andiamo is a good Italian place in Addison. If I could give it 3 and a half stars, I probably would. I'd say it's better than "A-Ok", but I wouldn't call myself exactly a "fan" yet either.
When you walk in, you can see that it's a smaller place (not a bad thing), and it's decorated very nicely.
Anyhow, the food was good, but nothing too outstanding / five star worthy. I had the tortellini, and it was good though nothing incredibly special that would warrant writing home about it. I think if I had to do it over again, I'd try something with their Alfredo sauce.
Their selection was good on their menu, but I would have liked a few more options. One that I was looking for was Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken, but I didn't see it. (Now that I look at their online lunch menu for it, I see one with Italian sausage, which I'll probably try next time I'm in that neck of the woods.)
Also, I don't think that it's very expensive for an Italian restaurant. (For lunch dishes were about 10 bucks a plate.) That's about what I would expect at any Italian restaurant. I'd say prices are very reasonable, and certainly don't warrant the "3 dollar sign" rating of this restaurant. (Unless, perhaps, you get a steak and wine at dinner time or something.)
Summing up, Andiamo is a great non-chain option in Addison for an Italian restaurant. However, depending on how I feel, I might go to a place like Carrabba's instead, as I think their menu is a little less limited. -

This has been one of my favorite Italian restaurants in Dallas for years. What a unique jewel among all of the chain restaurants in the area! They have the best mussels in town and the service is always friendly and professional. I have recommended Andiamo to many friends over the years and it always delights!

Are your eyes deceiving you? Nope, this is my first 5 Star review of a restaurant!
Andiamo gets my first five start badge. I love this place.
Don't let the few extra dollars scare you away from a great meal! I have only been for lunch, keep in mind, but the food and service have always been outstanding!
This is a white tablecloth, cloth napkin, kind of place. I often feel under dressed, but the staff make me feel like I fit right in. I have had some of the most attentive service I have ever had in this price range. I would call it almost Magical. Tea refills happen with a slight of hand, now you see it, now you don't flair. I have never sucked ice or slurrped straws here!
The food is incredible from the bread and butter to the cheesecake and coffee! Even the tea is exceptional. Everyday for lunch they have a special that includes, soup or salad, choice of entree (always includes a fish of the day), and a decadent dessert.
Go on Thursday if you are a Lobster Bisque person, it's some of the best I've had in Texas my friends. Perfectly seasoned, creamy, rich with large chunks of Lobster, OMB (oh my Buddha) it puts me in a different place, a place where dinosaur sized lobsters dance under butter and cream waterfalls, with nearby hot springs for steaming.......... I digress. The Minestrone is unbelievable as well.
My faves here are the stuffed pork chops. Huge loin chops stuffed with a delightful blend of fresh and imitation crab (surimi). Pan fried preparation creates a great crust and a tasty sauce to boot.
Chicken Cordon Bleu. I know a bit banal and 1970's, but they really put out a juicy, succulent bit of bird. Fresh ingredients and proper preparation makes this dish timeless.
Served with some of the best fettucini in Alfredo I have ever tasted. I'm not sure if they make it fresh there, but it sure tastes like it.
For dessert? NY Style cheesecake is my favorite and the piece they bring you is the size of a football.
Do yourself a favor, check your couch, floorboards of your car, pockets of jeans, whatever. Scrape together a few more bucks and go to Andiamo, your mind and body will thank you, in Italian!
Ciao! See it's starting already.................. -

Welcome to Italy...or as close as it gets in N Dallas. Relaxing and comfortable atmosphere with attentive professional service. A wide and appealing wine list - the waiter recommended a mildly priced bottle on special for $39, and although we stepped up to another choice it was good to have a lesser priced choice.
Food was fabulous. I had the lamb chop, highly recommend it, and look forward to doing so again soon. -

I thought this place was going to be great because of the reviews but it wasn't. Save your money and go somewhere else. The food was ok but no big deal and it's way over priced. Our waiter was slow and I think maybe retarded. I think the Olive Garden taste better then this place and at least w/ the Olive Garden you get more food and half the price. It's also not kid friendly.
One of my friends ordered the special and it was over $30. I ordered a soup and salad w/ chicken, drank water, and it cost me $20. When I ordered my salad he asked me if I wanted a starter salad w/ my meal. Umm no I don't want a salad w/ my salad! My friends did order a starter salad but he brought one of them a dinner salad. When she told him she just wanted a starter salad w/ her meal not a huge dinner salad he looked confused. When we tried to explain to him that she's ordered her meal and just wanted a starter salad he stormed off and said he would just take it off the ticket. The waiter only refilled my water once and that was after I had to drink my friends. The food was ok but over priced and the service sucked. I give this place 2 thumbs down. -

Had been here before and today a friend recommended it again.
Great idea!
Make sure you're hungry before showing up for lunch. The soup is not a small bowl....and their entrees (Had the Salsiccia Stile Chianti, which was really spicy Italian sausage with fettuccini Alfredo).
Very tasty too!
Great service and excellent prices!!
Can you tell I enjoyed it? Forget those chains in Addison...come here for great Italian food!!
Parking can get tight. -

Veal was like rubber. Service was good, until an Indian waiter came over to me and gave me a racial slur. The lights are so dim, you can barely see anything. Stay away from this place.

We stopped in here for lunch recently on a whim, what a nice surprise.
I had it in my mind that it was expensive, but it really wasn't at all.
They start you off with warm bread that is delicious. The outside was crispy but not hard, and the inside was soft and light. I great start.
I ordered the lasagna, at lunch you get your choice of soup or salad with the pasta entrees, so I opted for the salad. You never really know what you are going to end up with when you order a house salad, but I was glad to see a plate arrive with no iceberg lettuce in sight. The house dressing was nice and light, a perfect compliment to the greens. The lasagna was amazing, they must make their own pasta because this stuff was seriously delicious.
We didn't save room for dessert, but the table next to us did. I refrained from stealing a bite when they weren't looking, who says I have no self control? It looked really good, I will be partaking in dessert on my next visit.
The atmosphere is dark and romantic, the service was flawless and me and my food baby were happy at the end of the meal. Success. -

This place is the real deal. Old Italian men with the thick rimmed glasses. Big Italian families sharing a meal. A wait staff that could've been mafia men in their earlier life (or just imported from Old Country).
My friends and I found this restaurant through Yelp after a long and delirious drive to Dallas from Austin in which we broke multiple traffic laws and almost died in the rainy Dallas streets. All we wanted was some nourishment - we got much more.
The service is excellent - my party's service was very good at refilling the water and making sure everything was OK.
I had the eggplant parmesan and a app of portabella mushrooms which were absolutely delicious. Whatever they do to grill their vegetables - they're doing it right.
Woohoo! As good as it gets! -

Love this place!
The bestie and I like trying new restaurants & we both loved it. Great ambiance - quaint, full of character & could be super romantic.
The water is delicious, crisp and clean. The bread is soft inside & crispy outside served with softened butter. Wine list was extensive as was the dessert menu.
I had the lobster bisque to start, then the tortellini bolognese & it was all good. The bisque was creamy and flavorful but not heavy at all. The tortellini was perfectly seasoned as well & full of meat.
The prices were reasonable for what you get & the service was great! Mo was our server & he was both knowledgeable & accomodating.
This would be a great restaurant to take a date to. My friend & I enjoyed a great meal & great conversation without too much distraction.
Trust me, it's worth the trip! -

Mike was extremely gracious and helpful in planning a very very most late hail Mary Christmas luncheon. His suggestions on the appetizers and entrees were very helpful. The food was great (oh! that bread is dreamy!) and every dish had a distinctive flavor. I will definitely try it for dinner. Moe was an attentive and friendly in a way that was not intrusive. I wish I had time for dessert. I'll be back.

I was apprehensive to try Andiamo, among the many other options in Addison. Andiamo appears somewhat rundown on the outside, but what a wonderful surprise to find the service and food to be quite the treat!
The staff is always welcoming and friendly, and the food has never disappointed.
A must-try appetizer is the Andiamo Antipasto (for 2 or more to share). This dish features a sampling of grilled portabella mushrooms, baked clams, crab claws, and baby shrimp in a garlic basil butter sauce. I don't even typically eat mushrooms or clams, but these are fabulous.
Entree recommendations:
-Gamberi Ripieni alla Cipriani (jumbo shrimp stuffed with crabmeat, served with light tomato Pernod sauce).
-Braciole di Maiale al Gradigo (porkchop stuffed with crabmeat, glazed with brandy, served with linguini Alfredo)
-Salsiccia Stile Chianti (grilled spicy Italian sausage over fettuccini Alfredo)
These 3 dishes are all melt-in-your-mouth yummy.
I highly recommend Andiamo for a date, dinner with family, or any occasion. -

I love this place, partly because so few people know it as the gem it is and partly because the atmoshpere, food, and drinks all rock! It is quiet and perfect for dates. The wine list is good, but they pour a mean cocktail too.
The waitstaff never changes, which is something I totally respect. (no teenage goof off's in here). I've never been disappointed in the food, in fact, I've even branched out and ordered items that I would not normally order such as the pasta with clams and mussels. The fiance almost always sticks to the stuffed pork chop, which is excellent. -

Andiamo is a great place to go if you're looking for a quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy good conversation without having to shout. The music is very nice and not too loud, and the atmosphere is great as well - very Italian feeling and elegant. They bring out delicious, complimentary bread, and they have a unique selection of Italian dishes to choose from. The tiramisu is fabulous! The service is also great! We had Mo take care of us, and he was very attentive, friendly and made us laugh. We were treated great and will definitely return!

I went years ago, and remember thinking 'this is a really good place'. Not been back, but remember food being very good, great service and think the GM or owner was there when I was. Not incredibly authentic and I probably really mean 4.5 stars, but cannot remember anything bad. Hope they are doing well.
