Anderson Staffing, Inc. is a leading placement service in San Francisco. They place legal and corporate professionals in temporary and direct hire positions. I met  with Lois Anderson - she was both knowledgeable and personable. Lois has been in business for many years and has many contacts, which makes her a great resource for job seekers. She is passionate about her business and devoted to helping all of her candidates find jobs. I know that Anderson Staffing, Inc. has a large temporary division which helps many of the unemployed candidates. Go see Lois and you won't be disappointed!

    My personal "favorite!"

If you have a couple of hours to waste while you're downtown and dressed up, make sure to have an interview with this 2-women insanity show!

The owner, Lois Anderson, had been described to me by her colleagues as "cookie" or a "nut case."  Let's just say she's a couple of hundred miles beyond that.  In addition, there's her ice princess of an assistant "K," who has the grand delusion of being the next Robert Half, but doesn't show you a single percentile of respect or care.

At 46, and after twelve-plus years as a legal secretary, they made me take a spelling test.  Enuf said.

Don't do it --- don't go there --- save yourself the grief!

When you work with a recruiter, they have to have faith in you and believe in you - and with that, a great recruiter will get you a great job. Lois and Jonathan are exactly that - great recruiters. I've worked with Lois a couple times over the past few years, and each time it has been a success.  Lois and Jonathan have placed me at great firms and are genuinely interested in my success.

If you are looking for work in the legal field and haven't met with Lois and her Recruiting Mgr Jonathan, then you need to put that on your priority list.  Employers should pay her a visit as well.  I can see that she tends to all of her clients and candidates with the right approach and has long standing, great connections!  This is evidenced by the great law firms and multiple friends of mine utilizing her services over the past several years.

Let Anderson Staffing know Gisele sent you - networking is the best way to find work and/or employees + utilizing a great recruiter will set you up for success!!  Never underestimate the power of the ultimate matchmaker - a great legal recruiter!

I also want to share that if you feel you don't need to take any spelling, typing or skill tests - then you probably aren't any good anyhow.  You should be proud to prove your skills and earn your recruiter's confidence regardless of how much experience you have.  Often those who are in their field for a long time are complacent and their skills wane, sharpen your skills and be willing!  While it is true some folks don't test well, prove your talents any way you can. The more resistance or resentment that you express, the less likely someone will want to work with you. If you are willing to prove your talents, the better your opportunities will be!  Good luck!

I don't understand these 1-star reviews.  Lois will eat your children?  What?  How is that a review to be taken seriously?

I've used Anderson staffing more than a few times throughout my various periods of unemployment, and even when I'm employed full-time Lois has kept in touch just to see how I'm doing.  I love the personal attention I get when I go there and Lois has a lot of energy and puts a lot of hard work in for you, especially if things are looking grim.  She's definitely pulled a rabbit out of a hat on more than a couple occasions to keep me afloat here in the city and for that I owe her indefinite gratitude.

Lois primarily staffs temp and fulltime positions at suit and tie cube jobs, law firms and finance stuff etc, but even though I work in the film industry she's more than once put out her feelers to find me something closer to my field.

I'm seriously baffled by the negative reviews here, I've never had a stranger pull so much weight for me without me paying them a dime.  Give Lois a phone call, she's much more fun to talk to via telephone than by e-mail.

Lois? Don't really recall her helping any. Her firm is really a tragic place to go if you looking for a job. She actually emailed me and yelled at me for posting earlier - joke. When I went to discuss a potential job - one of her associates told me how pathetic of a person she really was.

    Don't waste your time.

From a Woman's Perspective - Lois is the last person I would have babysit my children - she may eat them.

Anderson Staffing is a small, personable job agency that packs a punch.  Lois Anderson brings years of experience and finesse to the job hunting process and her assistant, Kerry delivers great service and professionalism.
I have had no regrets working with this dynamic duo.  Throughout the job search, Lois and Kerry were supportive, responsive and diligent.  Many thanks to both for finding me the right job!

I should have read the reviews here more carefully.  I should have paid attention to the flashing yellow (and in some cases, red) lights.

Unfortunately, for me, Anderson Staffing was quite useless when it comes to properly registering or finding assignments.

I emailed a resume to Youlanda and Kerri mentioning that I was looking for temporary work.  When I met with Youlanda (for a whole five minutes) she informed me that she only handled permanent direct-hire and that the front desk admin, Nathan, was the temporary recruiter.  (I came in on Tuesday after sending my resume the previous Friday and the Anderson site showed Kerri as a recruiter.  Apparently, things changed quickly.)  After all my temp experience, I knew this wasn't a good sign.  Nathan simply shook my hand and sent me on my way (really).  Later, I inquired because I had not filled out any tax forms or received any materials.  I was asked to come in again and complete the forms.  There was only one of the forms available when I came in.  Again later when I called for a status, I was told, "We're making calls and looking for jobs."  (So, the jobs listed on their website aren't real?)  Eventually, I cut these characters loose.  They're just lame.
