This is a very nice place to stay while visiting the Anderson Valley. The B&B is a converted ranch house, which imposes certain design and stylistic limitations. However, the rooms are spacious, well laid-out and the decor is fine. The high points of the Inn are its peaceful setting, the very nice gardens, the pool (particularly after a hot day of wine-tasting), and the breakfasts (probably some of the best I have had at a B&B).

I think Christa A. is dead-on and Alex is missing something. Maybe he didn't experience ACI fully. It is truly magical with the amazing rose gardens, wonderful pastures, courtyard with a babbling fountain where we ate delicious lunch from Mosswood Market and best of all breakfast! Crab breakfast casserole and pumpkin french toast? Mmmm! My boyfriend said he can see my blood pressure decrease by 20 or so points when I get to recharge at the Anderson Creek Inn. Sitting out by the pool reading a book while the wind is blowing the harmonic wind chimes with beautiful gardens and giant oak trees in the background really is what life is all about. It's also a nice short drive to several wineries in Anderson Valley, redwoods and Mendocino. Jim and Grace treat you just like family members! (Spring for the Meadow Room now that the Courtyard Room is out of rotation)

I think Julianne and Christa are dead-off.
It is a great location, a nice place, but the hosts made our stay unpleasant. Actually we hardly ever saw Jim, so no problem there. Grace was stiff and unaccommodating. If you have any particular diet requirements she certainly will not go out her way. If you want the heat turned up a bit at night, she will probably do it, but might resent it. She certainly let us know later when we cracked the window in our room for a couple of hours during the day to air out the room a bit. I dunno maybe they had a fight, but it seemed to me she wasn't willing to go out of her way for her guests.
The house is nothing special, but nicely decorated and clean. I heard the breakfasts are great and they very well may be as long as you don't ask for anything special (like vegetarian).
Beautiful location and nice place, correct service, .... but it lacked a little something to make it special in itself.
This isn't your average lace and doiley bed and breakfast. It feels more like staying with your aunt who has a ranch house in the country with a pool, a great dog, cats, horses, sheep, fluffy white bathrobes and lots of books. Oh, and this aunt has a whole repetoire of delicious hot breakfasts like salmon quiche and berry bread pudding.

If you are looking for a place to escape the busy city, this is it. Upon arriving, you are surrounded by nothing but hummingbirds and a sense of peace I haven't felt in probably 3 years. You are greeted by the Innkeepers, who will offer you a glass of wine and a tour of the grounds. We stayed in the Courtyard room (around $180 a night) and it is an amazing room. Included with the room is a fireplace, two robes, a claw-foot bathtub (not big enough for 2 people), and a private toilet and wash area. The room was also scattered with books and magazines and the innkeepers were happy to provide anything else to us, including reservations at local wineries. Our main attraction was the wine tasting and the Inn is about 10 minutes from the main tasting rooms. Breakfast is served at 9am, but even if you are a late-riser this one is worth waking up for. The coffee and juice is always fresh and the food puts most restaurants to shame. I will definitely be visiting again and I am already looking forward to it!!
