Love, love, love this place!! What a hidden gem! My boyfriend and I stayed here (in Villa 2) the first weekend in March for some much needed R&R and really couldn't find one thing wrong with it. They let us check in early even though we showed up a couple hours before their official check-in time and from that point forward we enjoyed every minute. Our villa was clean and just perfect. There was a little gift bag filled with goodies waiting for us in the kitchen - so cute! We had our own private patio area which had a small table with two chairs and also an outdoor jacuzzi. The whole property is covered in lush green vines and plants and there are running water fountains everywhere you turn. The pool isn't overly huge but there were never more than 2 people in it the whole time we were there. The staff we interacted with was warm and welcoming. They even let us store our luggage in their office after we checked out and before we had to head back to the airport.
The location overall was great. A 5 minute cab ride from the airport and a 3 block walk from downtown.
If you're looking for a place to spend a quiet, romantic weekend with your special someone, this is it! -

I've never been to Palm springs and was surprised by all the many different lodging options -- it was difficult to choose! But I am so glad that we settled on this place!
We booked a weekend stay in Villa #6. Our little villa was perfect for two (or actually 3..didn't want to leave my dog alone!). It came complete with a kitchen, living room, washer /dryer, PRIVATE GARDEN JACUZZI, and separate bedroom with his and her closets. Everything was thoughtfully laid out for us, there was even detergent! I loved the soap/shampoo they provided too, made my hair so soft and shiny. The air conditioning also ran nice and strong which was a big relief in the 100 degree palm springs weather.
When we walked just past our doorstep we were met with beautiful lush garden pathways filled with fragrant flowers & hummingbirds flying around everywhere. It was so scenic and magical. In addition, the main downtown strip was just a short walk away, so convenient!
Our only complaint is we started noticing a burnt rubber smell whenever the air conditioning turned off. We notified management, hopefully they can find the source!
Everything about this place made palm springs a simply magical experience for us.
I love palm springs now and can't wait to come back! -

My boyfriend took me here last weekend and I cannot say a single bad thing about this place. Andalusian Court is set away from the hustle and bustle from the town's center, but it was within walking distance which made going to dinner and shops a breeze.
All guests have their own private villa, which makes the entire experience so pleasant and private. We stayed in Villa 2, which was absolutely perfect. We had a private outdoor jacuzzi and inside there was a beautiful bedroom, living room, bathroom with gorgeous stained glass windows, and a fully-equipped kitchen (which we loved since we both love to cook). The decor was incredibly tasteful and I felt as though I was in a villa in Spain the entire time.
If you are looking for a romantic and private getaway THIS IS THE PLACE. -

Had a VERY great time here- the experience was wonderful from start to finis. Came in straight from two months out of country for work and needed some down time with my girlfriend. The staff was GREAT in communicating via email about our needs. The kitchen, fireplaced living room, big ass shower & tubs inside and OUTSIDE (ooooo YEAH!) were AbFabulous.... pool area & bbq + firepit were ours alone for the night- WOW! can't say enough great things.... Thanks Tony, we will be back! (PS also walking distance to the restaurant/shopping district and Palm Canyon Drive especially Las Casuelas........

My husband and I came here for our anniversary weekend. We stayed in villa #6. LOVED IT. We got there on a Thursday and went to the street fair which is literally down the street.
The owner was really nice and walked us thru the property and our villa. We spent 3 nights 4 days in Palm Springs and had a great time. The property is in walking distance of downtown, yes even in the heat. Right around the corner from a casino and tons of local places to eat.
The room itself was like a little apartment. We were right outside of the pool which was open 24/7. Since the property is small, even if there are other people at the pool, it doesn't bother you.Being able to wash clothes B4 we got home was nice too.
I would highly recommend this place and will probably go back. Worth the $. -

This review is for a stay last July. It was the middle of summer and we had a week off, but no plans. Decided to go to Palm Springs during the low season and enjoy some quiet time. We stayed in Villa 1 and it was beautiful. The highlights were the patio and jacuzzi tub outside, swimming pool at night with view of the mountains and stars, and the peaceful atmosphere of the place. The grounds were lovely, villa very clean and it is a quick walk to downtown.
On our first morning there, we had an minor emergency that we had to deal with that required checking emails, printing forms and faxing. Tony in the office was super helpful and made sure we got what we needed to avert potential disaster.
Our only hope for our next visit would be a blender in the kitchen. We found out another couple had one in theirs and some daiquiris would have been the perfect afternoon treat! -

In my 26 years of life so far, this is the most amazing hotel I've ever stayed at. All the positive reviews are true and the pictures don't do the place justice. A few weeks ago my girlfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights, after spending 3 days at Disneyland for my birthday. We definitely needed some peace and seclusion, and that is exactly what we got here along with so much more.
We stayed in villa #3 and it was absolutely perfect. Super romantic! Loved the fully equipped kitchen. We cooked most of our meals there which was great. It had the sexiest shower I've EVER seen! With a fabulous view of the mountains while you're showering. I want to replicate it in my future home one day. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I not-so-secretly wanted to take it home with us. We had a late check-in (around 1am since we wanted to get the most out of our last day at Disney), got our keys out of a lock box and were greeted with a bag of goodies and a note welcoming us. I appreciated the touches like that throughout our stay. Tony (the owner I believe) was very personable and helpful while never intrusive. When we wanted to watch a movie and the dvd player in our villa didn't work, while keeping our villa he let us have the keys to villa #4 for the night as well. I'd read that this was the Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz villa, where they lived for two years in the 50s. I'm a HUGE Lucy fan, so this was quite a special experience!
I do have to add, one of our outdoor patios included a whirlpool jacuzzi tub which I was looking forward to using (and was actually one of my key reasons for booking this hotel). On our last night's stay we attempted to use it, but there were lots of little spiders in the jets that ran out when we started to fill the tub. We definitely wouldn't go in and I was pretty disappointed. :( I would suggest covering the tubs up? I know it's hot and it's the desert, but there should be a way to prevent that.
The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and ethereal. Our villa, and the entire property, had a very enchanted & fairytale feel, with a slightly Spanish twist. It does feel like you're stepping back in time. We used the pool a lot and never saw another guest on the property, so it basically felt like we had the place to ourselves which was awesome. The summer special is a great deal if you don't mind the 105+ degree heat (stay 2 nights, get 1 free). I desperately wanted to stay another night and go to the Thursday street fair, but unfortunately our budget did not permit it. If you're looking for a romantic getaway and/or a wonderful spot for some R&R, The Andalusian is your perfect choice.
The only bad thing about our stay (besides not being able to use the whirlpool tub), was having to leave. -

Perfect for a romantic getaway to Palm Springs. Quiet, central to everything that we wanted to experience. The staff was warm and accommodating. Each villa has its own fully-equipped kitchen, laundry, living room, enough closet space and divine bathrooms with large soaking tubs and marble showers.
Our accommodations did not have a jacuzzi but we did have the only villa with a breathtaking view to the mountains --and you can imagine the kind of sunrise we experienced: gorgeous!
Overall I recommend The Andalusian Court, four solid stars.
Tip: The Museum of Art is only a couple of blocks away. -

Incredibly romantic, reminded me of Spain, i cant wait to go back. All the reviews are true, so glad i came across this place. we stayed in casita #2. AMAZING. and i couldnt help but ask to see another casita before we left to plant ideas for our next stay. ok so #2 has a bigger kitchen and vaulted ceilings in the bedroom, where as #3 has a tv in the bedroom and closer access to the pool. otherwise both are pretty similar...the coolest rock shower ever, outdoor private jacuzzi, fireplace, etc. staff is fantastic, landscaping is lush, and what we loved was the gourmet BBQ by the pool thats open for guest use. we grilled away, it was like we had our own rock star backyard. anywho, i'm picky when it comes to romantic weekend getaways cause they are hard to come by, this one is my absolute favorite new place.

Love this place. It is a cozy, beautiful boutique hotel. We spent 3 nights in Villa 1. Love the full kitchen and having a washer and dryer (no need to bring home dirty clothes). Despite the extremely hot weather we had a relaxing vacation and enjoyed a swim at 10pm Saturday night when the temp outside was 102. I love how close it is to all the action downtown but how quiet it is on the grounds. We will be back!

I cannot say enough good things about the Andalusian Court. From speaking with the friendliest staff members, to my villa being perfectly clean and so with more amenities than I could list. I didn't expect the kitchen to be nearly as stocked as it was...cooking utensils, pots and pans, silverware, plates, even champagne flutes and wine glasses...(call me easy to please but I'm so used to the hotel chain bare minimum mentality).
We stayed in villa 2 and it was perfect..right by the entrance gate (which is locked at all times), the lush I mean LUSH foliage, trickling water of the well and beautiful Spanish style architecture was perfection. The private outdoor tub and sitting area- made the stay even better...nothing like lounging in bubbles, outdoors..and enjoying some wine while looking up at the star studded sky. They were even okay with our little Old English Bulldog staying in the villa with us, (though she had to be walked outside the property)..
There were only 2 minuscule things that I feel would help the Andalusian should do to ensure that they get a perfect score next time I'm there...which is fixing light fixtures, (the solar lights strung above the outdoor tub had a light that was out as well as the lights on the bed frame in the bedroom...and I wish there was a lock on the gate coming into the villa (it was scary taking a "private bath" outside with the boyfriend with the fear looming in my head of someone walking in..not that it stopped us, lol)..the gate looked like there may have once been a lock there but it had been removed..perhaps so the gardeners/maids could come service the villas but we have stayed at the Korakia Penisone which is up the street a few months back and our villa had a similar style with a locking gate...but who cares? THIS PLACE IS BEAUTIFUL...despite the heat, we loved staying here and will return soon :) -

Just Lovely! We actually stayed in two different rooms because that was all they had left for the holiday weekend, and we were wayyyyy last minute.
The first room was AMAZEBALLS. Huge one-bedroom villa with a giant tub in the master bath, plus a second bathroom (which was totally handy even through there were only two of us) super lovely king size bed, big kitchen, and comfy and warmly decorated living room. Outside we had a little courtyard patio where we enjoyed breakfast in the shade, and a delicious hot tub. There was even a little separate patio in the back of the villa as well. I joked it was the smoking area (because I really miss smoking.)
We were there two days. On the third day the second room we got was significantly smaller, and would've been awesome if we hadn't had the much bigger villa first. There we only had one bathroom, and the bathroom had a deep soak tub, but it only fit one person. The shower was a bit less accommodating too. Kitchen fridge was smaller, but the stove was better. Little details. The second villa didn't have a hot tub outside but it did have a great patio, that opened off the bedroom which I LOVED. I love sleeping with patio doors open so I can feel like I'm sleeping outside. It was the only second floor apartment and had an AMAZING view.
Altogether WONDERFUL. Both rooms had washer dryers too, so I got the bonus of coming home with clean clothes. The grounds had a great pool and bbq area. No room service, or bar, which was disappointing but the hotel is walking distance from the main drag so we did no driving other than to get to Joshua Tree. But we didn't have to drive to anything in town. Also I understand that under the previous owners guests got a little basket of snacks upon checking in. That would've been helpful as I was famished in the morning and having to jump up and get out and get breakfast was kind of a pain. Even a little basket of fruit or a little banana bread or something would've been nice. Also the hot tub didn't have a cover so we had to sweep and wipe it out before taking a soak in the evening which kind of sucked. Especially since there's no light out there. And it didn't get hot water, although the shower and indoor tub did. But these were really minor issues. All in all we will TOTALLY be back. And I can't wait!
Oh, yknow what? There was one huge bummer. The headboard on the second bedroom was heavy and kind of...ahem, not secure, so we had to hang a blanket over it. It made a ton of banging noise and seriously, we noticed it just getting into bed and pulling up the blankets. -

Great place. Off the beaten path. Yet walking distance to the main drag. My girlfriend and I stayed in Villa 6 for 1 night. Its basically a 1 bedroom apartment. Separate living room, kitchen, bath, and bedroom. The Jacuzzi outside is pretty cool. To clarify, it's a Jacuzzi bath tub that fits 2 people. It was behind a wall and no one could see in, so perfect for a little "special time" outdoors. During the day we laid by the pool. We saw one other couple at the pool and that was it. WIFI internet was free and actually worked.
This is a perfect place to stay in Palm Springs if you don't want to stay in a "big box" hotel and you are with your significant other. Only downsides are you have to give up the amenities of a "big box" such as the spa, gym, bar, restaurant, but you get the privacy and quiet you want here.
I would recommend for couples! -

The Andalusian Court, is so nice. It is awesome. The website does not do it justice. It is a small boutique hotel with about 10 rooms...
When you pull up there is a great fountain, and the hotel is surrounded by a wall covered in greenery. Very nice!!!!
Then you walk into a courtyard, very cute.
it has a nice pool area with a great bbq for anyones use.
And awesome pathways to wander thru the hotel.
Each hotel room is apt. style.... very nice furnishings... stone all over the place. Our room (#2) had an awesome stone shower
They give you a basket full of snacks, very nice for eating by the pool.
It is also close to the main shopping and restaurant/bar area.
The best part of the hotel is... each room has its own hot tub on their porch!!!!!!! It is super romantic.
This place is great for a couple... not so much for groups.
Stay here if you want a relaxing, romantic trip!!!!! -

As good as it gets sums it all up!
Me and my girlfriend spent one night in palm springs and this was the perfect place for us. The staff is inviting, the pool is crystal clear, and the villas are very thought out. Everything from the candles to the common area is what you'd hoped it would be from the website.
I would recommend this place to anyone in need of romance and relaxation in the desert. -

Spent our 8 year anniversary over the last four days in Villa #4, the famous Ricky & Lucy suite and where we actually were married in 2003 on the same grounds. My husband marveled at the nostalgia, and I swear he was ready to break out his bongos. Lucky for me, he preferred just "talking" about it with the new owners who have recently taken over and are bringing new light to this hidden delight in the BEST area of P.S. While one would never know if it's delightful Hollywood style history and this place being suited for celebrity, it certainly was more than perfect for us "normal" folks.
We cooked breakfast every morning, and enjoyed the full kitchen very much. Ate our eggs while in the outdoor private spa, and while we ate out almost every day for lunch at all the great restaurants, we found that most will also cater for room service too. That was awesome, so we could really enjoy our privacy and lone time in our villa.
It's an old place, so a few of the amenities are a little dated, but hey, if your worried about watching a "24" screen t.v.' while your on a romantic holiday, then shame on you!! Too much to do anyway!! Besides, the new owner Tony said they will be replacing all of those with flat-screens by the time we return, and the grounds are even lovlier than before with vines and over sized mature lemon trees everywhere;
We also loved that it is truly a "boutique" place. It is not sterile and cramped like a typical hotel room, but instead with huge villa's much larger than any standard upscale room you would get at a resort property, AND it is so private and certainly well priced for all that you receive.
The pool is awesome, clean and with a SPECTACULAR view of the snowy mountains while we basked in 80' weather. We love this place, and while we hesitate to share too much information for fear that everyone will soon know, you should indeed make it a mandatory stay when in town.
Thanks again Tony for all your patience with my "talkative" husband, and for being so knowledgeable. We really appreciated the extra time you invested in us.
See you soon, and best of luck. I have a feeling you and the Andalusian are a match made in heaven!

What an amazing find!!! This place is fantastic!! My husband and I stayed here for our Wedding Anniversary. Peaceful, quiet, off the beaten path, and completely self contained. There is a full kitchen and washer and dryer in each Villa, so if you don't want to leave (and you won't!) you don't have to. As soon as we pulled up, I could feel the stress lifting off my shoulders, and when we walked through the front gate: Paradise! Lush greenery, a beautiful water fountain and flagstone pathway led straight to the office where we were greeted and promptly checked in and shown to our room. We were a little early, but they didn't mind us checking in, and were happy to give us a tour of our Villa, truly beautiful.
We stayed in Villa 6, absolutely gorgeous. There is a beautiful ironwork lighting fixture made of intricate leaves and flowers that archs over the bed and provides most of the light (with a dimmer switch) for the bedroom. The bed itself was very comfortable, nice sheets, and a beautiful hand crafted iron sleigh bed. There were his and her closets - awesome! This Villa had marble floors throughout, very nice and cool on the feet - it was very refreshing from the intense dry heat outside. The bathroom had a garden tub and separate shower. The living room had a small love seat and a flat screen TV (we never turned it on, so I couldn't tell you what kind of channels it had). The kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, wine openers and silverware. The ice maker in the fridge was full of fresh ice. The windows in the living room and bathroom overlook the pool. We usually kept the curtains shut for privacy, but there was no noise even when there were people in the pool. Everyone who was here seemed to want the peace and solitude as much as we did.
And lets talk about the private patio with the amazing jacuzzi, shall we? A-mazing. Yes, that's right. A-mazing. There's nothing quite like ending your night sipping on a nice glass of New Age White Wine on the rocks with a lime while relaxing in the hot tub under the stars. Completely sublime.
The location of the Andalusian Court is yet another plus. While it is located in a neighborhood that mainly houses condos and boutique hotels, you are within walking distance of great food, drink and shopping. We walked to dinner both nights we were here and walked to a great wine tasting room on the afternoon of our arrival. I don't think our car has gotten this little use since we bought it!
At this time of year, it is very quiet in town, so you don't need to worry about rowdy nightlife, of lots of noise after dark. And the Villa is far enough off the main thoroughfare that no noise travels. All you hear is the sound of waterfalls. I totally got my Zen on here. I can't wait to come back! -

I do massage in palm springs. The other day I worked with a couple staying here and saw this hotel for the first time. It's so quaint and charming and cool all at the same time. They even had their own private outdoor bathtub for two for soaking under the stars! I will definitely recommend it to my friends coming into town.

Aw...gotta agree with everyone here. I felt like being in total different world right when I walked inside the place. Very exclusive & private with beautiful garden tropic theme. The villa was very roomy , makes you feel like home except way more indulgent. Love the jacuzzi , it couldn't be more perfect than sitting in a shady outdoor jacuzzi right?! And the pool was great , clean and big for small boutique hotel. My most fav hotel I've ever stayed in so far. If you're looking for a romantic get away, this is the right spot.

Awesome Spanish themed hotel. Not very large. Only has like 10 units but the charm there is so awesome. Villas have private jacuzzi's, fireplace, kitchen, washer and dryer, two bathrooms, etc. Its also a block or so from the downtown area. Made my experience in Palm Springs very welcoming. Thanks!

My husband and I spent a couple of nights at the Andalusian for our anniversary and we had the best experience! The property is lovely--very well-landscaped with a beautiful shared in ground pool and a lot of privacy within each suite. We stayed in room 4, which has a separate entrance to the outdoor hot tub and fire pit area. I thought that would be strange, but it wasn't at all, and we enjoyed sitting out there at night. The decor in room 4 looked sorta stuffy in the photos on the website but it didn't feel that way in person at all. It was very cozy and spacious and there was a full kitchen. The Andalusian also has a convenient location to downtown Palm Springs. We only had to walk a couple of blocks to get to the Thursday night street fair. All in all it was a great stay!

This review is long overdue...from January 2010...but felt compelled to do some writing. Let me put it to you this way...my lady and I had been going out for about 5 months and were going and getting along pretty good. A long MLK weekend at the Andalusian Court pretty much put us into hyper-drive into how we felt about each other. This place is very cool...understated...easy to drive by...but memorable if you are lucky enough to stay.
When we were there...the weather was sketchy...got a half day by the pool with warm weather and sunny skies...hiked the canyon behind the property another day...got caught in a rain storm and scrambled back to the room...#4...see through fireplace from entry room to bedroom...fabulous king bed with great wrought iron headboard if you decide to bring some scarves for a little light kink. The outdoor jacuzzi and fire pit were awesome. Sat in the rain...drinking wine listening to the rain hit the fire....totally exposed because the plants hadn't grown in yet...running between the jacuzzi and the room in the buff...really quite fun. Got the wood burning fireplace cranking high...we still talk about the trip and the place. One of our all-time favorites. -

we LOVE this villa! It's the most beautiful place we've ever stayed at. The people working there were extremely nice and welcoming. Our villa was just perfect and very clean.. it's like a fairy tale cottage.. definitely a great place to stay at if you want a romantic getaway. The private jacuzzis are awesome. This villa was definitely the highlight of our Palm Springs trip! It has ruined me to all hotel rooms, I don't think I'll ever find one as perfect as this place..
