Review from Mandy D.
My only complaint is that we didn't stay long enough!
This place has plenty to do right on the grounds, and its right on a lake (obviously). Paddle boats and canoes are included in your stay! It's pretty awesome. They also have a beautiful patio overlooking the lake.
There's trails in the woods on the property, and a few little beaches that you can hike to.
The cabin itself was adorable, and the perfect size. I love that this place doesn't fuss about the number of guests you have in the cabin, and will make a darn good effort to accommodate your group, no matter what size. We were able to sleep six of us comfortably in a one bedroom cabin, and there were plenty of pots/pans/plates/cups for all of us in the kitchen area.
We loved the screened-in porch! Every cabin has one.
I will definitely be returning in the spring.

Established in 1950
Built in the mid 1950's, The Anchorage has had a few different names such as Pine Cove and Oriole Cabins, starting with only a few cabins and have now grown to 30 cabins and two large houses. The Anchorage is located on 32 acres with 1 mile of lake frontage. It has changed ownership since 2007 and are continuing to improve and make changes and still try to maintain the old family vacation atmosphere.
Our season runs Mid May - Mid Sept.

I have lived in New Hampshire all my life. I have worked in the Hotel business for 10 years doing all aspects of the business. The Anchorage is a seasonal property which has brought many challenges and given me an experience that I enjoy greatly. I have met some great people and have made many friends.
I have 3 children all older now and also working in the Hospitality business.
