This wasn't our first time renting a boat, but it was our first time renting from Anchor Marine. The difference in rental experiences between the other boat rentals and this place was significant.
From the moment we got there, we were treated like old friends. Their staff members are all extremely friendly and efficient. We were given MUCH more information than at other rental companies, including additional safety information and tips about navigating the lake. At other places, they just hand you the keys and send you on your way. The people at Anchor actually took the time to do things right, from going over charts to familiarizing us with the boat, to making sure everything went well when we got back. They were very sweet to our daughter, and included her in the lessons and even gave her a hat. :)
The boat was in GREAT condition. Very clean. And all their rentals have bimini tops, so that helped protect us from the sun.
I think it is worth a mention that we originally rented the boat for 8 hours, and our daughter got sea-sick after 4. We returned to the dock, fully expecting to pay for the entire day, but they graciously only charged us for four hours, without even being asked. Their kindness was very much appreciated.
Anchor's rental prices are more than fair, and their fuel prices were less than we expected. -

I rented a boat from here this week. I just walked in without any advance reservation or anything so all they had left was a 20-foot fishing boat which wasn't really what I was looking for. But I took it anyway and spent a great couple hours cruising around the lake in it!
The staff was great and helpful. They told me everything I needed to know about the boat and the lake before taking me out to it and giving me instructions in it.
I will definitely rent again from here.
