Um. Alaia at $161. Balenciagas at $180. Jimmy Choo sparkley flats at $141. This place is my go to haven for last season's shoes at INCREDIBLE pricing. I basically check it out at the beginning of the season for the MUST haves like alaias and balenciagas or Manolos and pay their full price of $200 for them. Then I scout out every month for the mark downs for shoes I like but not for more than $100.
The owner who rocks the floor is SO helpful with his knowledge about where my favorite designers are. It's arranged by color so have fun girls! I always do! -

Worth ducking into if you're in the area--especially since most of the shopping in my 'hood blows. There are lots of very cute shoes here (I think it's just ladies', sorry boys), and even the stray Gucci or Marc Jacobs. Today there were probably about a dozen Prada styles. Also, like mentioned already, there are lots of Euro designers with gorgeous shoes.
The store is pretty big and the selection is quite good--the boots are starting to come out in full force and there are tons of heels. The staff is nice, and when there's a clearance sale, it's definitely worth battling the crowds. During the regular season, though, it's easier to shop but most of the shoes are $50-$150. The place is actually much better than the Century 21 shoe store--especially because you're not battling 200 other gals! -

Great place for heeels! I'm not a big patron of them, but I did walk out with a pair for a whopping $26 bucks. Lots of BCBG, unfamiliar but good European brands etc. type shoes, if you are lucky, you'll find some Marc Jacobs, but in a size 6 or something.
The store is pretty neat for what it is, all the shoes are organized by color. Psst, they mark their shoes down every Monday! ...and as the folks at Anbar say, "Take the Box With You!" ..when you try on the shoes, that is.Listed in: Born to Shop

How appropriate that my 50Th review would be of one of my favorite shoe store, when one knows that my shoe collection is quite impressive. Not I am not related to Imelda Marcos... But I love the selection in this store, you have to go often and get lucky... It is organized by color schemes and that improved greatly my tendency to only go for black. In the past I have scored a pair of red Todd's for $60, some amazing Manolo for $120.
Today I was looking for sensible choice being that with the restaurant my love for cute shoes is no longer relevant and I look for comfort. I found a pair of Stephane Kelian for $80 and cute little slip on for $28, almost got tempted by a pair of Kate Spade but I have to be reasonable with my closet space. The selection is interesting, the prices are good to excellent, the only reason I would not give it 5 stars is because the place could use a make over ....
Ladies, if you are as obsessed with shoes as I am, go visit this place... -

I've been very lucky finding fun, different, interesting shoes at Anbar. Arranged by color, you quickly find what you are needing for that new outfit - or not, and move on. Lots of European styles/designs for decent prices. A bit out of the way, but worth it!

This place used to be great for awesome cheap shoes (as far as ladies went, not sure about a guys section). However, recently, the only time you can get anything good is during the clearance sale or in the lucky sizes section (I get lucky pretty often...small feet). Overall, if you're in the downtown area, its worth stopping by, but a separate trip probably isn't worth the effort!

I called today, they went out of business! I used to go to this store years ago & it was wonderful. The owner says they are officially done. Glad I called before going downtown. They will be missed!

I don't know anymore about this place. At one time it was great. But the shoes are from last season or further back in addition sometimes they are water damaged and have shrunk. Also what is with the fake sale? It says closing this shop and reopening another? The owner is also a little smarmy.
