You MUST dine here!!!! Must Must Must!!!! This faboo little find was courtesy of Yelp and for that I owe an immense amount of gratitude to fellow yelpers. This place was crazy delicious! A super diverse menu, great prices and wonderful staff. Loved it!!!!
We tried a number of things and in all honesty I can't remember the proper names of the items but fortunately...they have an awesome website to jog my memory! We started with the warm humus and bread which was fabulous. It was the first time I had humus warm and I highly recommend it. We also dined on the Lahmacun which was probably my favorite! It was like a fabulous huge gyro pizza. A must order!!!! For dinner my husband ordered the mixed kebabs which was hands down our favorite entree. The meat was so fresh and juicy that all three of us devoured everything on the plate. Make sure you order this! I ordered the Kuzu Guvec which I would honestly skip next time. It was like a lamb stew which wasn't bad...just not my favorite. The third entree we ordered was the sucuklu pide. It was almost like a turkish calzone. The meat was delicious and flavorful and it was a nice addition to the meal. It was quite bready though. For dessert we shared Kadayif and baklava. The Kadayif was divine. It was a crispy, sweet. piece of heaven. You MUST try it. The baklava was good too. Perfectly layered and sweetened to perfection with a tasty honey drizzle. Yum!
Another bonus that I really liked was our server (who I presume was the owner) who kept reassuring us that if there was anything we did not like he would replace with something else for no charge. Um there was NOTHING we did not like. The price was really reasonable too!
This place is out of this world! -

The food is well made and delicious BUT for the appetizer platter the portions were not equal to the cost. Three of us split it and it was definitely not enough. Waiter should have warned us it was only dips and a small basket of bread. Yummy but rationed. Had there been olives, dolmas, cucumbers salad or some other sides that would have been great!
The only reason I'd come here again is because I'm in the area and craving middle eastern food. -

I stopped in here on an auspicious detour on the way home from tahoe- lured by good yelp reviews. What a lucky find!
The food here is finger licking, plate licking good. really, there was not a crumb left on our plates.
I had the mushrooms as an appetizer- sauteed and stuffed with cheese. Highly recommend. For the main I had lamb "sultan delight" which consists of lamb pieces in the most flavorful eggplant sauce.
For dessert we had the most delicious baklava I have ever eaten, the texture was incredible.
Also good value and friendly prompt service. -

Very good... I live in the area and saw this place but never thought about going in. But after seeing the yelp reviews, I thought that I would give it a try. And glad I did! Also, the inspection report is 100% pass, and very clean. Will go back very soon.

I have gone here two years in a row for my birthday dinner and about 5 times throughout the year. The food is very tasty and different than I expected. My wife who really does not like to eat food that is different than the norm likes the place as well. I've ordered the combo plate which has beef, chicken and shawarma, very tasty and delicious. The portions are large and well worth it. Their Knafa dessert is outstanding. Overall, I think this place is worth visiting about once every couple of months. The food prices are a little high otherwise I would go more often.

First time and the food was awesome. I had the mix food. I'm a rice lover and the rice was heaven for me. :) Great food and service. The lighting was dark but very romantic. It was 15 minute before closing time but they were more welcome to serve us!

Ate here with a group of friends last week. We decided to try new places and this place was fantastic. The food was out of this world, restaurant was a perfect atmosphere, and the service was fantastic. We plan to go back on a Saturday night when they have belly dancing. I had the Lamb Guvech... So good. The other lamb and chicken dishes were great too. Try the appetizer sampler plate as a starter. You won't be disappointed.

Camarillo, CA
This had to be the best meal (aside from my mom's Thanksgiving Dinner) that we had in Rocklin since my family moved here. Service was timely, professional and great recommendations. Reason for the missing star, felt the prices...were a little on the high side. If we were in Los Angeles or S.F., they would be more acceptable, but not outside Sun City, Lincoln Hills, Ca.
That being said, cuisine was fresh and delectable... but $19.99 for mixed cold appetizer plate, for 2 people? Just go for the Havuc Tarama (best one).
Also, follow the Yelp reviews for the best dishes and you will not go wrong.
We will def be back and tell our friends and family what an awesome dining experience. -

*Copied from my old acct. Orig posted on 2/21/11:
So I have been here about 4 to 5 times now which I believe gives me an accurate guage from which to base my review, eh?
First things first. Our waiter was super cute (like a cuter, younger, John Cusack) which actually did not make my night, because I was here with my parents (my dad of course hears me sigh over the cuteness of the waiter only to tease me for the remainder of the meal with the threat of asking said waiter for his phone number so that I may come to know the true feeling of embarrassment.) But alas, on to the more important/less embarrassing things in life... food.
After realizing the suspiciously similar nature of each entree under the "vegetarian" section of the menu, and since I have already tried a few of them only to find out they are in fact quite similar (same veggie/spice mix), only with different means of display on the plate... (In a wrap, on a pizza dough-ish bread, over a bed of rice, or with a side of flat bread) I have decided that making a meal out of a few appetizer plates is a much more fun dining experience at this restaurant.
My favorite dish here by far is the fried zucchini cake topped with dill flavored yogurt sauce. Second favorite is the cold eggplant appetizer. The stuffed mushrooms, however were just ...meh..I could make those at home. And my third favorite flavor of the meal was the yogurt with the carrots. It does not have the sickeningly sour flavor of most yogurts, but has a thick and creamy texture with a more garlicky taste and the carrots add a bit of sweetness.
And oh yes, last night was a Saturday so they had a belly dancer who came out and danced around the tables. It was neat to have the added entertainment to my night, although the music was a bit loud. -

Meh. Nothing tasted fresh and everything was under seasoned. I thought it was expensive for the portion size as well. We tried a soup that was made from dried veg and it was what I would call peasant food. Kind of an old world staple you would eat when everything else ran out. It might have been a good base for something modern but as served it was very bland.

I seriously have no complaints. The restaurant was about half full, and everyone looked happy. I went with some vegan and vegetarian friends and I think we were all satisfied. I got the vegetable guvech without cheese, and other than being really hot (a good thing, it means they had made it fresh!) it was delish. Lots of veggies, and I'm not sure what the sauce was but I know it was vegan. So great. I do wish we had started out with a hummus appetizer, I really had wanted to try it but no one else seemed interested. I'm definitely going to order that the next time I go, I bet they make the hummus right on site.
If you're a meat eater, never fear, there were lots of good choices for meat eaters. Lamb and chicken mostly.
I am going here again, as soon as I can get back there. You won't be disappointed!Listed in: Vegan Spots

Over the course of the past 4 years I've spent a total of 8 months of my life in Turkey. This place is legit and super authentic. From the doner to the Boruk Tava to lamb, the humus and the Turkish Coffee, it was like being back in Turkey. The vegetables were fresh. And unlike Turkey, I didn't have to worry about getting sick from food that might have come from a shady source from time to time. On the other side though, our meal for two set us back about $45. That would've been only about $12 in Turkey!
Their bread and Baklava was amazing too!
Definitely going back. -

Yum! I have been wanting to try the Anatolian Table for some time and now that I have, I cannot believe it took me so long! Nick was my server and he was amazing! I got a house salad (which was huge) with the Vegetable Guvech. Besides being a big salad, it was cabbage, red onion, feta, tomato and one lonely Greek olive. I definitely needed more olives, but I am kind of an olive fiend. The guvech was delicious!! Tons of yummy vegetables, topped with cheese, served with rice. I inquired to the server how easy it would be to make things vegan or other things veg and he said it was easy. I love a restaurant that is flexible and willing to make you a meal you are truly going to enjoy. To me, it's a mark of a truly fine eatery!
Nick was really nice - and funny! He knew it was my first time in and I was dining alone, so he made suggestions and was very attentive. I found the prices to be fair - not the least expensive choice to eat. In the future, I would skip the salad - it was $8.95. It didn't add much to the meal and took up valuable guvech space in my stomach. I wish they had a smaller version that was closer to $2 or $3 - just to start the meal with. It could literally be a fifth the size of this salad and it would be perfect!
I would def recommend this restaurant! -

Just had dinner here tonight. It was fantastic. Try the Lahmacun (lah-mah-shun); sort of like Turkish pizza -you'll love it. Other solid dishes: tavuk sis (chicken kebabs) and Kuzu güvec (reminds me of a hearty stew with lamb).
Also get the baklava, it's to die for! -

I think I've died and gone to Turkey! Or is it Anatolian Table!? Yes peeps it's that good! First time here tonight. Decided to try after reading yelp 4.5 star reviews. I ordered the charbroiled Lamb which comes with rice and house salad.
YES FOLKS!!!! HONESTLY the best lamb I've ever eaten! Talk about tender!!! It can get no better! Around $15 avg per entree. Also ordered the vegetable pide which is like a vegetarian pizza around $12. Also had Iskender which is like strips of gyro over fried cubed Turkish bread and smothered with crushed tomato gravy alongside yogurt sauce. Deeeeeeeelicious! Decor gives you an authentic feel to the place. Anatolia.... You've got me curious .....expect more sightings of me. :) -

At first glance the menu is a little intimidating, but I tried a little bit of everything and was incredibly surprised by how much I enjoyed it! This was my first venture into Turkish cuisine and all I could help think after eating here was, "why didn't I try this stuff sooner?!"
I tried the lamachun (sp?), lamb pide and a bit of the chicken kabaps and was impressed with each and every bite. The chicken was white meat and incredibly moist, the lamachun had a unique yet delicious taste, and
the lamb pide (pretty similar to a pizza) had me craving for more.

True, authentic Turkish cuisine: hands down the best Turkish food I've had since I left Turkey ten years ago. Tried the Yogurtlu Adana Kebap (lamb and pide with yogurt, etc.) - tremendous. Also tried the Lahmacun - thin pizza w/ground lamb, spices, etc. - incredible. Extremely friendly and clean to top it all off. I live in Carmichael and stumbled upon this place - I'm bringing my family back - it's worth the drive.

A long, long way away (and with gas prices what they are) it's a wonder I've been there twice now, but this place is purely fantastic.
My husband is Turkish, so when he found out about this place he wanted to give it a try since it claimed to be very authentic. Approaching the place, which is located in a suburban strip mall next to a furniture store, my doubts began. What if this was authentic in the way Panda Express is for Chinese food??
However, I never should have doubted. Entering, we were quickly escorted to a large booth. When my husband went through the menu he got so excited by dishes he hadn't had since childhood.
We got an app - Lahmacun (a lamb 'pizza' - he called it great, I call it PERFECT!), Iskender (doner meat and yogurt sauce served with bread in a copper plate), Kuzu Guvec (veggies, lamb, rice) and a dessert of Kayisi Tatlisi (apricot, almonds, cream).
Everything here is crafted with such skill and love. The owner was actually our waiter and he was just beaming with pride over his restaurant and the food. He makes most things in-house and that care really pays off. Everything we ate was truly delicious.
He told us he hopes to open second restaurant in L.A. Nice, but it'd be nicer if he opened the second closer to me so I could come here way more frequently than its current location permits. That way I could explore more of the menu and practice my Turkish. So, tesekkür ederim Anatolian Table for your delicious meals, authentic vibe and decadent desserts!Listed in: Just The Tops

Awesome food and great service. We live about two miles away and I am so happy to have discovered a great Turkish restaurant right around the corner.
We started with the eggplant dish and spicy hummus as appetizers and then I had a baked chicken and vegetable casserole that the waiter recommended. Everyone in my party was happy with their food, I was the only one that got chicken, the rest of the group tried a variety of lamb dishes. Everything was delicious, great flavor and made fresh.
I would highly recommend this restaurant, a little treasure tucked away in a strip mall in Rocklin. -

Went back to this place last week on friday with my mom and my sister and as always we receive AMAZING service. My sister and my mom really want the Doner Wrap that is served at lunch time only but we came in about an hour late, but Chef Arol was able to accommodate us and make the wraps. The food is simply amazing at this place.
For first timers I would recommend the ANOTOLIAN OZEL.1 Previous Review: Show all »

Tried Anatolian after finding it on Yelp. Which pleases me. People know good food, and right on for great reviews.
The restaurant is located in Rocklin in a strip mall which is weird. Who cares ... it is worth the drive people, trust me.
Our meals were awesome, but I have a feeling anything you order will be high quality, perfectly prepared, cooked and presented entrees.
Service was pleasant and accommodating. We had the eggplant cold appetizer and it was fantastic. Our main course plates were simply wonderful. This place is legit. Anyone that complains about the price point is crazy. Especially when it's impossible to eat out *anywhere* for less than 50 bucks a couple. Most of the time we have to pay for lousy food. Count your blessings for proper eats and pay accordingly whiny cheapos.
Way to go yelpers and Anatolian! -

Rocklin, CA
When I die, please bury me in a coffin filled with lamb kabobs, basmati rice and baklava...and make sure it was all made by Anatolian Table!
I've never had an adventurous palette. I'm a picky, stubborn eater who rarely ventures outside my macaroni-n-cheese box. Lately, tho, my boyfriend has somehow managed to con me into not only trying, but LIKING, an entire array of new foods, and my taste buds are quite grateful. After a long day of lazy Sunday shopping (translation: spending hard-earned cash on stuff we didn't really need) we were tired and didn't want to make dinner at home. Really, I just didn't wanna wash dishes and clean the food-hurricane that Boyfriend had created the night before from our foray into fried catfish, but that's another story entirely...
He decided he wanted kabobs. Easy enough, right? I hopped on Yelp, but it turns out that Rocklin/Roseville is seriously lacking on the Mediterranean front. Of the only two local choices, Anatolian table had 99 reviews at 4.5 stars...not bad! We decided to throw our snotty American caution to the wind, and headed over.
The location is nondescript, tucked away in a little strip mall that you can't even really see from the main road. Once you enter, however, you quickly forget that you're in Rockliin. From the ornate, multi-colored chandelier/lights over every table to the thick, maroon-and-purple tapestries and handcrafted bowls/plates/tea sets, etc, for sale on the far wall, this place screamed "Turkish" in every way. We were seated promptly, as there were only 3 or 4 other tables with diners.
Perusing the menu, I felt so out of place...it was all Turkish to me! Literally, folks. Each dish had its Turkish name, with the English version next to it and an Eglish description. I decided on the Anatolian Ozel (mixed kabobs for one) and he got the Lamb Guvec, a traditional dish with lamb, veggies and a special sauce in a casserole dish.
We also ordered the zucchini pancake with yoghurt as an appetizer, and two Turkish beers. The beer was great, light and yummy. The actual pancake was yummy (texture a bit runny, so you might wanna skip if you're weird about food texture like I am), and I wasn't a fan of the tangy yoghurt sauce. Boyfriend loved it, tho, and the dish was soon gone. (Side note: for $7, the appetizer was very small. If you're on a budget, I'd say skip the appetizers altogether...)
The service seemed slow at first....5 minutes to come ask for our drink order, another 10 to bring it out, 5 more minutes to take our food order, etc etc. Then we realized -- it was SUPPOSED to be this way! In our fast-paced, go go go American culture, we forget that the act of sharing a meal is SUPPOSED to be slow. You're supposed to talk, visit, laugh, be leisurely...all the things that make sharing a plate of food with someone so wonderful.
The main dishes were truly amazing. Between the constant "mmmm", "oh my God", and "this is incredible" coming from our booth, other patrons probably thought this young couple was indulging in more than just food!! The Efes (beer) went so well with the dishes, as did the warm, soft bread that was served with our meal. (I'm literally salivating as I write this -- it was THAT good!)
We left room for baklava, and ordered one for each of us. Smart move, as the portions were small and we both practically licked our plates clean. I've had a lot of baklava in my day, and this was by far the best I've ever had. They don't use honey, but rather their own house syrup, and it was to die for.
Price was steep, $72 for 1 appetizer, two dinners, three beers and 2 orders of baklava, and the portions could be much larger for the money that you pay -- however the quality, service and atmosphere more than made up for it. Boyfriend and I EACH gave a $10 tip, and they earned every penny.
The kitchen has an open design, so as we left we were able to thank the chef for his work, and while he hadn't seemed to laugh or crack even a hint of a smile the entire time we were there, he smiled widely and said, in accented Englsh, a hearty "Thank You!". Also note, the meal took us almost 2 hours start to finish, so if you're in a hurry you might wanna check out one of the nearby chain or fast food joints. This is a place to SAVOR, not rush.
We'll definitely be back, and sooner rather than later. Til then, it'll be Turkish beer wishes and baklava dreams for me....
Can someone please pass me a napkin?! -

Found this place while visiting a friend in Rocklin. YumO!!! What a great place. Arrived near Noon on Saturday, only customer...but more came in shortly... We order the meat dinner for two ($39.00) and the Lamb Pie (open face). Hummus and warm bread arrived shortly after we placed our order. The meat plate was delicious, there were over six variety of meat over medium grain basmatic rice. Arrived with a nice display of lettuce, red onion and pickled red cabbage. It fed the three of us along with Lamb Pie (more like an open face calzone or a pizza without the cheese.)
Everything was delicious but will probably not order the meat pie again. Almost forgot, we also had the Kreme Karamel (That's how they spell it. it was also very good, a cross between a creme brulee and flan but serve like flan).
I will definitely visit my friend a little more now as I know we will always have a great place for lunch. -
Review from Marvin M.
San Ramon, CA
We tried the doner and adana sandwiches. The doner was made with sliced meat similar to the meat you get in a gyro. The adana was sort of like spicy meatballs. The sandwiches are wrap style, like a Turkish burrito. The menu says "salad" but what that means is that there are veggies inside the wrap sandwich. I really enjoyed the adana sandwich (spicy ground lamb) but when I finished, I felt like I wanted another one.
If you have a light appetite, the sandwich is right for you. Or if you want to get an appetizer or dessert, then order a sandwich so you will have room for dessert. If you want a bigger meal, order one of the entrees. That's what I will do next time.
I've got to say, the food was very flavorful. I really enjoyed the taste of that adana. If you don't like spicy food, go with the doner. But if you like some spice, I will recommend the adana. -

When we first moved to the area we saw their catering truck in the Winco parking lot and we're always looking for great new restaurants. We usually go for lunch. The meats are always so flavorful and they're decent size portions.
You know it's fresh; a couple of times tried to order the Adana but the owner hadn't had time to prep the meat for the day yet. The staff is always so nice. Try the Kofte and the Lahmacun! -

My old college roommate was Turkish, and I fell in love w/ the food at the restaurant she was working at. I have snuck many a sample of her takehome meals after a shift in the fridge and would rearrange the food accordingly. :D
So I was excited to bring a large group here (this time all Americans and one Indian). We went with both variety platters of apps ($29) and meat and kebabs ($75). So basically having a large cross section of variety... well the food was good but not great... especially for the quality or quantity at this price point. We ate, but noone raved nor made a point to finish any particular offering.
My tip is go ahead and order individual apps and platter plates.. It's not necessarily to save money, but I'd bet you might get more satisfaction at the amt of food to money ratio. Service was great. -

The kids (4 and 7) and I were feeling like getting out of our comfort zone a bit and trying out Anatolian Table for the first time. I had driven by many times, always intrigued.
Really really good food, especially if you have had some exposure to Middle Eastern cuisine. (Turkey is not a Middle Eastern country but its cuisine is influenced by it due to its location.) Starters were bread/hummus (yum) and calamari (a bit plain to my taste buds, but this is typical for calamari prepared Mediterranean style). We shared the ozel plate (mixed kebabs) for 2 -- we all enjoyed it, and my 4-year-old was particularly ecstatic about the lamb! Dessert was kunefe -- another winner.
My enthusiasm is tempered by the price point. Although there was enough food left over for me to take home, our bill came out to nearly $70. The ozel-for-two plate alone was nearly $40. If I had brought my wife and we shared the plate, it would not have been enough for the 2 of us. So I have a hard time figuring out when I would visit this restaurant again. The prices preclude it from being it a regular haunt for informal dining, and the casual ambience -- while very clean and pleasant -- preclude it from being a more formal "date night" type of place.
Our server was very attentive and had some great recommendations. With that said, I can only offer my 3 stars for Anatolian Table. Loved the food, but the prices are hard to justify. -

We've been here three times and this time I was not happy with the veggie pide because it was bland, and the dough was too hard for my teeth. I wish they season the veggies with some fresh herbs to make it tasty. I had to pour my salad over the pide to get some flavor, in fact it became very appetizing with the purple salad on top of that very flat and stiff dough.

I hear a lot of tales of trips to Europe by Americans who claim the food is simple fresh and just darn good. (i'll remove England from this, as eating is really cheating there, the food is shite and one should focus on consuming vast quantities of Ale instead).
It is an Old World tradition to keep food simple with fresh ingredients and recipes that date back generations. So with this in mind, Anatolian is refreshingly different. Fresh, simple dishes and a very authentic feel. But old world ideas should be accompanied by old world prices. This was not the case and our main dishes were just OK, but not amazing. Nearly everything else was perfect though but the mains were the priciest.
They don't cook with a lot of salt here - probably a good thing if you subject your body to multiple forms of abuse like me. Might as well avoid high blood pressure if you can.
I will go back, if only to drown myself in the delightul Turkish beer. -

Who knew such a great Turkish place would exist out in Rocklin? Now I've hit just about every Turkish place in Silicon Valley where there's like 5 places on the main street where I live alone, and this is better than most of them. The bonus here is that the menu has a lot of traditional items on it and there's a vast selection. I've not seen so much grilled fish selections on any other Turkish menu. When I asked about Turkish tripe soup and Lacmahcun, the owner knew I was serious about the food. Unfortunately he didn't have the soup but produced the lacmahcun, Iskender, and grilled bream which was all excellent. he also makes a killer Turkish tea and kunefe post meal. The space also doubles for the merchant of Turkish items but the cuisine is the star. Definitely worth the trek out here if you are anywhere in the area.

Tried this place for a second time a couple of weeks ago for lunch and it was really tasty! Ordered from them, to go, a couple of days later. We tried to order during lunch time, but no one answered, when I called back it was no longer lunch so had to pay the dinner price (which is why I docked a star). The lunch menu is MUCH cheaper than the dinner menu (about half the price), for the same amount of food. We ordered the spicy hummus (not really spicy), chicken kebab, ground meat over yogurt and a mixed veggie/chicken dish....all were very good, but the 2 chicken entrees were our favorites. Will definitely go again, but probably only for lunch.

I'm not usually one to try new types of food and although was apprehensive about going to Anatolian Table I absolutely LOVED it! I can't remember the name of my dish but it was something with lamb and their delicious yogurt sauce, if I hadn't already filled up on the great hummus app we got I would have devoured the whole plate! The staff was super friendly and helpful when we asked about items on the menu, and I love how they delivered the check in a bedazzled box! Will most definitely be going back!
