Stopped here with the yelp coupon while on Vacation. My GF really goes nuts for the Doner Kebab at places where it is done right. And it is done PERFECTLY at this place. The Doner Kebab is so tender and flavorful and prices are pretty good for the amazing flavor.

We will go back to Anatolia when we return to Florida. For Sure.

We have been here twice and wish we could go more often.

Start with the lavas bread and the hummus. We usually split one plate as we get pretty filled up with the bread. Both times we have ordered the beef kebab. It is so moist and tender and perfectly seasoned. And the rice it comes with is soooooo good. I asked once what was in it but they just said it was a mix of different grains. It's the perfect rice!

Their house red wine is the perfect balance to your meal.

Food was excellent! Had the appetizer platter: Hummus, Tzaziki, Stuffed Grape Leaves, Feta and Babaganoush. Lavas bread (made fresh, in-house). Main was ground lamb wrapped in flat bread with a yogurt sauce and a spicy garlic and tomato sauce. Rest of the table had the Döner kebab. No leftovers!

Prepare to be wowed by this fantastic Mediterranean dining experience!  On this night my party of  four ordered the following:

Appetizers:  Hummus, Babaghanoush, Tabouli, and Haydari (Thick cream of yogurt mixed with walnuts, spinach, garlic and garnished with fresh dill.)

Entrees:  Marinated Grilled Baby Lamb Chops, Mixed Grill, and Chicken Adana

To accompany the appetizers, we also ordered Lavas, an enormous puff of bread which is delivered straight to the table warm from the oven.  I've eaten a lot of hummus in my day, but the silken texture of Anatolia's hummus is still in my mouth!  Eaten together, the four appetizers were a fantastic complement to each other.  My order of marinated baby lamb chops -- four small, thin, tender chops -- were well-seasoned and grilled perfectly to order: medium rare.  Entrees are served with delicious rice pilaf, a small red potato, and wonderful grilled veggies: mushrooms, an onion wedge, a chunk of zuchinni, and peppers.  The other diners were very happy with their choice of entrees, and both the mixed grill and chicken adana looked & smelled delicious.  Dessert was offered, but because appetizer & entree portions were so generous, no one in our party had room for it.

Service:  Our waiter was attentive -- never far out of earshot, yet not intrusive.  Our appetizers were delivered to the table very quickly after ordering and our entrees were served hot -- straight off the grill.

Ambiance:  Because it was a gorgeous evening, we chose to dine outdoors -- not much of an experience, given that the parking lot of The Marketplace strip mall in Dr. Phillips is just yards away.  But there was a musician playing live dinner music on a keyboard, adding to the experience.

Price range:  Moderate/moderately expensive.  At $32.00, my baby lamb chops were the most expensive entree on the menu, however, the cost of my dinner was offset by a Yelp free appetizer check-in offer.  The mixed grill was $21/per person (min. 2 people), and the chicken adana was $16.50.

One member of our party attempted to order a mixed drink, but was gently advised that the restaurant serves only beer & wine.  To accompany my meal, I ordered a nice glass of CA chardonnay, priced at $6.  My companions had soft drinks.

This was my third visit to Anatolia, but it won't be my last!

Went based on a yelp review after a long day at Universal Studios. We have 4 young kids, one with a food allergy, so I was a little nervous. However, I don't care for chain restaurants, and turkish food tends to be simply prepared and delicious, so I decided to give it a shot.

I'd definitely go back - we ordered calimari, 2 kebab dishes (gyro meat and swordfish), and lamb stew. The wait staff were sensitive to our son's allergies, and everything was absolutely fantastic (especially the swordfish).

You who eat at sit-down chains like Ch*li's or whatever while on vacation should be ashamed. Give this a try!

The food was great. And the service was superb!

I went with my parents on Friday night around 6, and we were all extremely happy that we decided to go there. We started out with dolma (grape leaves) and babagounosh. I then had the kofta kabobs (ground lamb). The Turkish seasoning in the meat was very good. On the side were some lightly grilled vegetables. We ended the meal with some Turkish tea and this amazing goat cheese desert. My mouth's watering just remembering it.

Our waiter was superb. He was attentive without being lurking/irritating.

We ate out on the patio, and the atmosphere out there was very pleasant. They had some live music outside - a violin and keyboard. It wasn't too loud, so it was good background ambiance.

While in Orlando on vacation we wanted to check out the local flavor, and were walking by, when we noticed the outdoor seating.

    We love Mediterranean.

But ................there was only a table and space outside for 3.....
    The waiter said no problem.
He shifted things around and we sat.  It was beautiful outside.

And perhaps that is part of the reason we had such a delightful time.

    Our waiter was  GOKHAN!
What a character.  He earned his tip.

We started off with tea.  The tea is okay, but the glass it comes in is totally middle eastern style. My friend wanted to take a full set home, but controlled herself.

We had the lava bread and the falafel plate that came with hummus.  They serve you olives in oil (very good) and some cabbage.  A very good start.

Then we had the Shwarma.  Basically gyro meat with vegetables.  But the flavor was great....

I cannot tell you what our friends had.... A lamb dish?

We ended it off with Turkish Coffee for them...... ohmygawd! And regular for me...... and a small piece of delicious baklava for all.

In the same shopping area as World of Beer my favorite drinking hole.  They have live music on the weekends I believe and a nice little patio area for outside dining.  While it's been awhile since I went there, I know that we enjoyed it thoroughly. Our server was attentive, the food was good, and the music was a nice touch.  Prices were a little high, but that's expected in Dr. Phillips. I would definitely come back again

Tasty food, but a bit pricey for the amount of food you get.  Entree portions are not huge by any means but just enough if you order apps and bread.  We had 2 orders of the bread (I forget what is was called but it's puffy).  We also had the 2 cold app combo with the babaghanoush and tabouli.  I also used the yelp checkin coupon to get the hummus which was delicious.  The weird thing is that none of the apps came with any pita bread or anything to dip, so you have to order that puffy bread.  Also, they charge for the yogurt sauce.  So I love the taste of the food but not portion size and prices.

I don't give many 5 stars and I almost never give one based on a single visit, but I have to for Anatolia.

I was in Orlando but I did not want something for tourists or affiliated with the mouse kingdom, so I looked on yelp for interesting things and Anatolia was the winner.  Loved being able to make the reservation through yelp as well.

Was greeted by the host in this smallish restaurant with plenty of seating outside.  The smell of wonderful things meets you at the door as well.  The waitress, who seemed related to the host, was pleasant helpful and knew her job.  She answered our questions about wine and we tried one of the turkish wines, I now want a case of it.  Each table is given some pickled cabbage and olives that were lovely and a nice touch.

We started with the Lava bread.  This was amazing, think like a giant bubble of warm and wonderful bread.  It was great.  We got the mixed grill, different kababs, lamb chops, chicken, the works.  This was recomend by the waitress when we told her it was our first time but were familiar with the style of food.  Each thing was cooked perfectly, seasoned perfectly, tender and amazing.  Nearly transcendental and that is what I usually need in order to give 5 stars.  The grilled vegetables and the bhulger wheat side dish was also spot on.  Makes me want to make the drive over to orlando this weekend just to have those lamb chops again.  But I also want to explore the other items.

This has become by far my favorite place to eat.  The flavor profile is clean and simple yet amazing.  Every time I have guests in town, this is where I bring them.  They are consistently good.  I have been there over 20x and have yet to have something go wrong.  The price is fair - I recommend the Sampler when dining with 3 or more.  $21 each and a ton to take home.  All of the appetizers are amazing but the Calamari is my favorite.  The Lava bread (my nephew's favorite) is light and fresh and perfect for those avoiding preservatives, etc.  Bulgar, rice, fresh veggies and an absolutely swept away atmosphere which makes you forget you are on Dr. Phillips.  Anatolia, you had me at Mousakka!

Went there during a vacation to Orlando, bought the yelp deal but didn't realize it's not valid for Fridays. Our waiter and the manager was nice enough to let us use the deal after explaining we were leaving town the next day. Very good service and ambiance. Food was good, although I felt like it's more like a Turkey fusion place than an authentic Turkey restaurant. There's also live music at the outside seating area.

    In a word ... WOW!

The word average do not cross my mind at ANY point of my experience here. From the appeasers right through dinner and dessert.
Being raised in the Middle east and Europe, I can tell you that this is just about as good as it can get.  I ate till i couldn't eat any more and as i got in my car to drive away, All i could think about was more of this delicious food.

The waiter was very friendly and informative. Even took the time to warn us about not finishing all the appetizer as there was a lot coming on the mixed platter we ordered. He was not kidding!

All in all, this is one hidden jewel in Orlando which i will make a point to visit every chance i get.

    WoW!

I never had Mediterranean food like this!

The puffy larvas bread, the hummus plate, the feta cheese plate, and the Mediterranean Combo plate to share amongst 5 people....

The appetizers were delicious and for some reason the apps gave me the anticipation for the main course: the Mediterranean Combo, which was full of different meats!  My favorite was the lamb because it was so tender that the meat fell off the bone....into my tummy!

To end the fabulous dinner, we have Turkish coffee, Turkish "creme brulee", and baklava!

Best Turkish food I had in awhile!  So glad we came here to celebrate my brother's birthday!  Happy belated @droolius! ;D

Oh, Anatolia, how I wish I could take you back to Austin, TX with me.
Best meal I have had ALL year!!!

Walking to the restaurant being serenaded by the beautiful, live music on the patio put me instantly in a great mood.  The staff was all very personable and inviting.  I just felt happy being here.

This is all before anything food-related occurred!!!

    Ohhhhhhh, THE FOOD!!!!!!!!!!

Best Calamari I have ever had in the United States.  PERIOD!!!
This is how you prepare calamari.  If you have not won an award for it, it's criminal!!

Next I had the DONER/GYRO/SHWARMA with YOGURT
Huge portion that I could have easily shared with someone.  I loved the grilled vegetables.  So simple, yet so satisfying.

Everything was perfection.  I cannot wait for my next trip to Orlando because I will DEFINITELY return.

Thanks for an awesome evening!! :)

Many times since I moved to the area, I wondered if I would ever find a non-chain restaurant, delicious, and authentic enough to make me NOT miss Texas. In terms of Turkish food, I found my jackpot. The outside seating was great, right next to the musicians who really set the tone.

Start off with appetizers and some lavas to dip. This is what I love about eastern european food, the laziness and fun of snacking. The stand out dip was the red caviar.

A gyro for over $15 are you kidding? But the portion is huge, it lasted me 3 meals. I ask for pita bread to wrap the meat. Also, the rice these meals are served with is so flavorful and wonderful heated up too. The beyti kebab was flavorful, but not my favorite because I didn't like the bite size cuts. The mousaka is delicious for a few bites, it is a huge portion. The sea bass is a good option if you are looking for a healthy alternative.

I actually feel bad giving this one three stars as the wait staff was very nice, the ambiance great (music outside), they turned on the heat lamps for us (winter in Florida). And I am sure there are other great things on the menu...but what I had was solidly three stars.

I started with the lava bread, which is really neat when it comes out all puffed up. You poke it and the steam comes out. Has sides of pickled cabbage and some very good olives in olive oil. Not the greatest bread ever but it was good.

Then I had the zucchini fritter things, which were okay. Not great, a little soggy in the middle, but acceptable. Not a ton of flavor.

Then I had the doner which was actually flavored well, and cooked well. My only complaints were that it had a bunch of fatty pieces in it...fine, not a huge deal to pick through that. It came with roasted vegetables which were not roasted. They had char marks on them but were only partially cooked. Which for vegetables isn't a huge problem but I couldn't eat the onion. Tried to take a bite and it was like woah, raw onion. The rice was decently flavorful and well cooked.

The portions were relatively large for dinner which is a plus. I also finished with some turkish tea, which to me tastes just like regular ceylon tea you might get anywhere else. Maybe I was missing something. It was fine. The glass they served it in was neat. And I sipped it and listened to some music. Not bad. Too stuffed for baklava which looked good.

I would return to try some other dishes. I probably just ordered porly.

I heart this place like it is nobody's business and cannot WAIT to go again. I have been looking for a great Turkish restaurant for ages now, and Anatolia does not disappoint at all.

The hummus is perfect, as is the doner kebab platter and the kofte kebab wrap. The housemade lavas bread is perfect with the hummus and the pickled cabbage. I haven't tried much here, yet, but I've loved everything that I've tried and cannot wait to go again.

The decor is also elegant and unassuming, and is in a perfect spot (I've said perfect a lot, I know) in its restaurant row shopping plaza.

I've been to Anatolia about 5 times now.  This was my first time bringing our 13 year old and 5 year old.  They both loved it too.  We took advantage of a Yelp coupon, and I'm glad we did!  (The marketing department here is on the ball...I see ads and coupons in a varitey of places.  Coupons suck me in!).  I had forgotten how much I like this place!!  The kids loved it and you have to get the Lavash with hummus to start.  Always a hit.  I had the "casserole" dish this time which I really loved and would get again, since I'm not a kabob fan.  We LOVE dining outdoors and it is good to see that they have expanded their outdoor dining (the business next door is not open in the evening, so they are now in front of their storefront as well).  We usually eat around 6, and by 7:15 when we were done most of the outdoor seating was filled.  I'm glad to see this place is staying busy!  We will be back!

The short version: Great food. Fantastic service.
Longer version: Was in Orlando for a conference and rented a car for 48 hours.  Found this place on Yelp and decided to check it out based on the great reviews.  Had the Ezme Salatasi with lavas bread followed by Adana Kebab.  The salad was excellent, the Adana very good.  Used my Yelp coupon and ended up being under the $25 limit so ordered Baklava for dessert - seriously the best baklava I have ever had.  Totally stuffed and satisfied after that lunch.
In fact, it was so good that I came back the next day for another lunch.  This time I had the shawarma.  This was not as well done as the Adana from the prior day (lost one star for it from the original 5 star review).  Maybe I'm biased as an Israeli but I'm more used to the turkey form of the meal than the beef one.  This one was missing some seasoning that I'm accustomed to.  Still a very good meal and I got the ezme salatasi again which did not disappoint at all.

When Visiting Orlando - Find Anatolia.....

Anatolia's is the type of restaurant you visit and say "damn...I wish they had one of these in my area".  I'm sure we actually do have such a place with great Mediterranean food ( heavy on the Middle Eastern flavors ) and a nice cafe atmosphere in San Jose, but I just haven't found it yet.

On a recent vacation to theme parks in Orlando with another couple, we spent 6 nights at the Crown Plaza in the southwest part of the city...about 5 minutes from Universal Studios and 20 minutes from DisneyWorld.  The main street nearby...Sand Lake Road...seemed to have more attractive non-mass chain restaurants in a 1 mile strip than any similar piece of property I remember viewing.  One dinner was at TooJay's, a really good "deli", which raised the question "why can't one of these survive in Silicon Valley?"  But that's another story.

The first night, we walked by Anatolia on our way to TooJay's and said "we can't miss any place which smells that good".  Sure enough, we tried Anatolia and it was so good we went again just 2 nights later.  And both times...on a Tuesday and Thursday no less...the restaurant was buzzing with customers.

This review really isn't for people who live in Orlando because they probably know it already.  Instead, it's mainly for visitors who are suddenly faced with choosing a restaurant from a million choices.

Anatolia is part of small shopping center in an upscale area near the intersection of Sand Lake Road and Dr. Phillips Blvd.  It's around the corner from a Morton's Steakhouse and set among a variety of ethnic neighborhood restaurants, like TooJay's. There are 15-20 tables for 4 inside with room for another 20 people outside, so the feeling is that of a cafe.

The menu at Anatolia is not large, but there's something for even a picky eater.  You can  literally make a meal with a bunch of appetizers and salads or go the traditional route with an entree and smaller dish.  In all honesty, I've got the menu on my screen as I write this review and the drool from both my mouth and mind is causing sparks to fly from the keyboard!

Everything we tried in our 2 dinner tour was very good or great.  Appetizers included babagannus, eggplant, hummus, sigara boregi ( phylo dough with feta cheese and herbs ), falafel and calamari ( among the best ever ).  Entrees were chicken adana, swordfish kabab, beef saute, mousaka and vegetable saute.  Each meal was accompanied by hot and soft "puffy" bread called Lavas which was excellent for dipping, especially the babagannus, eggplant and hummus.  One night, we added 2 orders of a nice rice pudding.  The food looked, smelled and tasted like a slice of Mediterranean heaven.

The Wine List was of reasonable size, selection and cost.  Here in California, we're exposed ( in a tasteful way ) to wines everyday, but the list at Anatolia was similar in scope and price to most places in San Jose.  We tried a zinfandel from Rosenblum for $26 the first night and went back for more the 2nd night.

Service was friendly and helpful which is nice when the menu seems like a foreign language. They weren't overly-solicitous, but warm and knowledgeable.  And the bathrooms were fairly modern and clean!

One of the best aspects of Anatolia is the value.  Some previous reviews on Yelp described the prices as "high".  It's all relative.  We ate big amounts of great food both nights and paid $55-60 per couple before tax and tip.

Bottom line:  Move Anatolia to San Jose.

    Pros:     What's not to like?
Cons:     It's in Florida and we live in California

Ahh Anatolia...possibly one of my favorite places in town!
My mom and I decided to have lunch at Anatolia this past Sunday. We both have been there several times, so we have our favorites and we don't even need a menu anymore, we know what to order as soon as we park our butts.

The restaurant is relatively small, they have a semi open kitchen, and they offer indoor and outdoor seating. We generally prefer sitting outside, but all of the tables were occupied. When we went inside one of the waitresses recognized me from the last couple of times I was there and she greeted me in a very kind way, complimenting me on my dress and letting us choose where to seat. She also remembered I ordered an iced tea last time and she asked if I wanted the same.

When she returned with our beverages we proceed with our appetizer order: Lavash bread (the big fluffy delicious hollow bread), hummus, Tamara (caviar pate), and their amazingggg white bean salad. For our entrees I ordered the Moussaka and my mom got the Saute Shrimp.

Everything was absolutely amazing, by the time we were done with our appetizers we were completely full and took our entrees to go. Later on, when we had the entrees for dinner at home we were please with our dishes. We have had both dishes before in the past and it tasted just as delicious.

I look forward to returning and having another great meal!

Upscale small restaurant w fine service.
Did I order a Diet Kebab? The LAMB SHISH KEBAB for lunch had only 4 cubes, it twas tasty but there should be more lamb cubes. The LAVAS   (chefs bread) w hummus is delicious w the red pepper, too much oil on parts of the bread though. The sauted beef was eatable, nothing special about it, could have been better seasoned  and side veggies were dry.
The lamb gyro was the highlight of the meals I had,it  it still didn't compare in taste Mediterranean Deli gyros which is the standard. Nice ambiance but dishes are mediocre.

Probably our favorite meal from our Orlando trip.  Middle Eastern food is our favorite choice for eating out, so to find a place that rises to the top of that list after eating at literally dozens of other restaurants is something special.  This place is that good.

Our GPS had some trouble finding the place.  Its less then 15 minutes from Disney World and International Drive.  Located in a strip mall, the interior is small but classy.  We had the place practically to ourself when we visited in early February.

    Here is what we ordered

Lahmachun - don't see this on the dinner menu, but Rabia asked for it and they made it.  Similar to a light pizza, this dish was outstanding.  I almost ordered one to take home!

Doner Kebab - Melted in my mouth, the meat was that juicy and well cooked.

Gyros - Not the fast food style and I like fast food gyro.  This was something special.

Next time I go to Orlando, I'm going to Anatolia!

Absolutely loved the food there.  We went there for lunch on a late Saturday morning.  The outside patio is very nice and relaxing (the weather was perfect). We had 3 lunch special wraps and Lavas (bread).

DONER/GYRO/SHWARMA (Thinly sliced strips of tastefully seasoned lamb and beed wrap cooked on rotating skewer) is the best wrap of the three with flavorful lamb taste but not gamy at all.  The Chicken wrap was also very good with well seasoned potatoes inside.  The beef wrap did not stand out compared to the other two.

LAVAS (Chef's special bread, fresh cooked in our own owen) is definitely recommanded.  Their olive oil dip (olive oil mixed with olives and herbs) goes perfectly with the bread.

Hummus is very flavorful comparing to most of the hummus I've had.  Haydari (Thick cream of yogurt mixed with walnuts, spinach, garlic and garnished with fresh dill) is totally addictive.  BABAGANNUS (Chargrilled eggplant mashed with fresh herbs, spices and tahini) is my favorite of all three dips.

The service was also very good.

I will definitely go there again if I ever go back to Orlando!

Tasty and delicious we really had a great meal. We missed the whole ambiance of the high back leather chairs and quaint atmosphere though. They just had plain old basic tables. The place was hopping and there were tables outside and in. Inside the tables were pretty close together and they were full. We had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated.

The service was friendly and the meal was pretty darn decent. I don't know if I will go out of my way to make it back there any time soon considering there are soo many restaurants to frequent in the area that I would prefer to try instead.

That said, if you are looking for a lovely Turkish meal this will suit your needs!

    Excellent dining experience !

Ended up doing a yelp search for greek. This placed turned up so we decided to give it a try.

My friend from Jordan called my cell while we were there, told him where we were, he said oh you picked an excellent place.

    Uploaded some pics to yelp.

We would go here again !! A little pricey, but the quality was worth the price.

I love the decor, very classy with warm lights. The service. . .well. . .

We came kinda late, so it seemed as if everyone was preoccupied with leaving basically. Even so, there was live music with instruments I have not seen before, which was definitely a plus.

So, we only came for dessert and Turkish coffee. The pistachio baklava was delish, although the servings were very small.

I have had Turkish coffee before so knew what to expect. Not like what Americas are used to basically. Very small cups and not sweet at all. Very different taste, however I enjoyed it simply because the cups were super cute and it made my tummy feel really great!

We stopped in without a reservation the night before Thanksgiving with a groupon in hand. This place has a very comfortable and welcoming atmosphere and a feeling of being a neighborhood place.

We tried a variety of dishes - including the pizza, the lavas, zucchini pancake, hummus, and soup. The pizza with meat and the pancakes were the best dishes. Overall, the food was average.

But, the service was wonderful! The waiter was professional. What impressed us the most was that he noticed that my husband did not finish his soup (a yogurt lentil). He asked if he did not like it, and after a bit of beating around the bush, he admitted that he did not like the soup. The waiter insisted that he try the other soup - which he enjoyed very much. The attentive and personal service made it a pleasant night out.

My husband enjoyed the Turkish beer too! This added to the feeling of an authentic experience.

The portions were large and we enjoyed the leftover pizza the next day!

    Great service! Beautiful, fresh food.

Must, must, must have the Baklava! Even if you're stuffed, take some home. It's the best I've had in forever.

Anatolia was delicious! My bf and I wanted to go and have a nice dinner for NYE and wanted to try something different and I mentioned how I always see Anatolia.

So we decided to go and the lavas bread was so yummy! We also decided to get the mix grill for two and everything on that plate was delicious! The lamb chop and the chicken were my favs.

    I can't wait to go back :)

This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in the Orlando area.  I had never had Turkish food before coming here when they first opened, but I've been back many times.  The food is phenomenal, the service is excellent and the prices reasonable.  The only reason I can't give this place a 5 is only due to the location and the crowded atmosphere of the restaurant.  Its very loud and if you sit outside your view is a parking lot with a lot of traffic driving by.  Other than that, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic fresh Turkish cuisine, or just something outside of the ordinary food experience.
