So I know everyone here is writing about Nikki! Who I am sure is awesome. But I had my hair done by Lindsay right after thanksgiving (look at the date of my review). Yes I am a procrastinator but for good reasons! I like to wait a longggg time before I decide if I like what someone has done with my hair. Yes it looks gorgeous right afterward, but would I look that good when I washed it a few times and it grew out??
I have a horrible habit of waiting too long to get my hair colored/cut. I have veryyy thick, very CURLY hair which I had made the mistake of dying jet black a couple Halloweens ago. Needless to say the color correction process has been horrible. I was living in SC at the time and I went through the process of trying to fix my hair and ending up with a slight hint of orange for about a year after that. I went to Lindsay in hopes that she could fix the "cap" I had on my head from the regrowth and the ugly brassy blonde curls without destroying my hair. I am soooo glad I went to her! She is a wizzzzz with color! Months later and I still love the color. She fixed a lot of the brassiness and I have more than made up my mind to go back to her to have her finish what she started.
My boyfriend was blown away by both the color and the cut she gave me! Sometimes his opinion is what matters most! He sees me everyday and he could definitely tell how happy I was! I'll be calling her this week for my next appointment. :-) -

The reviews here do not lie. I had such a wonderful experience at this salon. I had the good fortune to get an appointment with Nikki and she is such a sweet stylist. I gave her my thoughts about what I wanted for my hair and without being pushy she suggested what she thought would work best for my face shape and complexion.
Lets be honest, when you're getting full highlights from a stranger sitting in a chair for a couple of hours having your hair pulled and messed with can get awkward. This was not the case at all with Nikki. She made me feel comfortable the entire time. Like I was getting a haircut from a friend. She helped me get a feel for the city, as I am a new resident here, and gave me a few new ideas for places to visit around town.
The salon itself is very small. It is cute, quaint, and cozy. I didn't feel like I was going to get run over and I didn't have to talk over other people to be heard, while there. In fact, the majority of my visit I was the only customer in the salon. The other employees there were also sweet and personable and all of them seemed to be very professional and good at their jobs.
The one complaint I had was that it is rather expensive. Definitely not saying that it wasn't worth it because I in fact love my hair, but be sure you're prepared to spend the money on a cut and color before you go. -

My wife and I were visiting from out of town and I was lucky enough to get a next day appointment with Nikki. She was great! I felt like she not only listened when I explained what I was looking for, she understood and followed through. Nikki was really easy to talk to and the atmosphere was a good mix of professional and friendly. I really liked that haircut I got and would definitely go back again!
Bonus points: they helped us find a place for lunch, gave us good directions to it, and that turned out to be another good experience. -

I did the Cadiveu Karatin treatment with Lindsay and my hair is the healthiest and shiniest it has ever been. The real test was the rainy and humid weekend that just passed and my hair was absolutely frizz free and soft. Lindsay was great and was so honest about what would work with my hair type. She saved me from leaving the salon in tears, which has happened before.

So, I am absolutely in L.O.V.E with this salon. It's totally charming and all of the girls are so welcoming and friendly! I met Anastasia and her mother, and both are so sweet. Nikki colored my hair (in love with the color) and Lindsay trimmed my bangs and gave me an awesome blow dry. I am happy to say that I have finally found a wonderful salon here in Miami, which is possibly the most difficult thing to do these days. Thanks to all you girls for making this a wonderful experience. I will definitely be seeing you soon!

I finally found a wonderful salon in Miami, I am so happy!!! I went in because my hair was looking "orangy" from a bad color experience in my recent visit to NV. Anastasia did a wonderful job in correcting the awful color, it was just what I wanted. Then Nikki did her magic and transformed my dull lifeless do to one that is easy to style in the morning. I will definitely be going back.

I have been to MANY salons in Miami and will admit to have gotten some excellent cuts in my life - but there has always been something lacking.
Not with Nikki!!!
Let me give you some insight into my Hair World:
I was looking to do something I had not done since I was about 12 years old - GO SHORT! I was tired of my thin and lifeless hair. No matter how many haircuts I got, I was never able to really replicate the style at home and after a couple of weeks the life was gone out of my hair and there was nothing else to do but curl it or iron it down. I was bored.. even tried adding bangs but because my hair is a bit wavy... I could never get them to stay or do what I wanted.
After dozens of haircuts, styling and different colors, I was ready for something drastic. I was throwing in the towel on long hair. Raising my flag! If you can't beat em - CUT THEM OFF! :)
Considering I had not been sufficiently wow'd in the past and because I wanted to try a new stylist to go with my new hair, I turned to my trusty Yelpers to help me :) I read what seemed like hundreds of reviews on dozens of salons and was more flustered then when I started looking. I was about to just call my old salon and see who was available?? I was losing hope.
Then I came across Anastasia Molchanov Salon. I noticed they only had a few reviews but all were extremely positive. I saw they were fairly new but that Anastasia had been working in a previous salon. I then noticed Nikki was Stylist of the year.. THIS year!! hmm??? I took a gander at the pictures (yelpers: those local pictures are QUITE helpful) and said to myself, "I'm in!".
I was extremely nervous but as soon as I walked in, Nikki was so sweet, down-to-earth and accommodating, I had no choice but to feel comfortable. I explained to her what I wanted and we decided not to go too short or too drastic in the layering since it was such a change for me. Our motto was "Hey, It will grow back, Right??"
So she took the end of my ponytail, asked me if I was ready, I heard an imaginary drum roll, took a deep breath, and said "yes!"
Clip Clip - it was gone... She cut and cut and cut and we just kept chatting it up. It went by so quickly and by the time we were done, I was inlove. Oh - did I mention that she also livened up my dull brown color?? Yes she did - and I loved it!!
I went home and everyone had to do with my hair. Short hair is a foreign concept to me so it took a bit to understand how to style it but Nikki helped with that and it looked great..
Fast forward 7 weeks or so - it is the weekend before my BIG 30'S!! I have having a monster of a party and wanted to go even shorter - "let's be daring! " I said to Nikki.
Well, she cut my layers shorter in the back, making them choppy going in all directions, left length in the front and to top if off, applied some feather extensions I had brought in with me.... She left my hair exactly how I wanted it. Exactly.. did I say - Exactly??
It is so fun to style now!
TO DIE FOR!!! Now even more people are loving my hair cut and have even been asked for the name of the salon and stylist from several people. I ran out of cards!
The prices are moderate, she is great, the salon is cozy and I will be a customer for life. I definitely trust her with color and cut and am soon venturing into extensions which I am confident will look outstanding, just as hers look on her :)

Nikki was super fab. Anastasia just delightful. Such a cute quaint salon, and all in the family.... I met Anastasia's mom and sister!
Anastasia makes you feel at home while there. Great coffee and tea selection..... And get this, fresh hot donuts from a local lady who bakes!!!!!
Back to the haircut....Nikki totally feels you out first, determining what exactly you are looking for, and then tailoring your cut to your needs with the precision of her keen eye.
Great salon, will definitely go back. The BEST in the area!!!!

I am/was outgrowing a "pixie" haircut so I had not touched my hair in 6 months (so yes, I had a severe case of mullet) After reading the rave reviews I decided to schedule highlights and a haircut with Anastasia and Nikki respectively. I was wowed by the results. They suggested adding a few tape-in extensions to complete some length that I was still missing so I could get a longer hairstyle. Both the extensions and the color look fabulous! My husband didn't notice the extensions until I told him a few days later (I cannot keep secrets), even I have a hard time telling the "other" hair apart from mine when I am styling it! I went back a week later to purchase their products, and had to take some of their business cards with me because i've had people ask me on the street where I had my hair done.
I am definitely planning on getting a full head of extensions in the future now that I realized that I dont have to wait for long hair. -

I must say Nikki is by far the best hair stylist I have ever come across (New Times seems to agree). She simply "gets" her clients and aims to make us as beautiful as possible while achieving fashionable cuts and gorgeous color jobs. Not only that but she and Anastasia have created a chic atmosphere in this salon that always clients to feel completely at ease and right at home - ready to gossip and gab ;). I have told all my friends and family to make the switch and those who have never looked back after one visit to Anastasia Molchanov Salon.
I highly recommend their Keratin treatment which made my hair more manageable and smooth than before I had begun dying my it at 15. -

A long overdue review is in order for this charming salon. And for my go-to gal and guru for everything hair-related, Nikki Gravitz.
'Twas the night before a good friend's Roaring 1920's themed wedding about which I was ueber excited. So excited, in fact, that I thought, "you know, it's time I color my hair and make it look fabulous for this special occasion".
The fact that I was going to be running into my ex for the first time in months since we'd broken up may have played a part...It seems that, no matter where you stand with an ex, you always want to look good when running into them, right??? Ahhhh, so is love and life.
So into the hair color aisle of CVS I marched (can you see where this is going?) with the determination that I wanted to deepen the mahogany brown tone in the base of my natural hair color.
Fast forward ahead to later that evening with hair color marinating and an excited me matching my beaded necklace to my flapper girl dress in preparation for the big event.
Upon climbing out of the shower and removing the towel from my hair, I stared wide-eyed into the mirror and slapped my hands on my cheeks, screaming, in a total Macaulay Culkin in "Home Alone" moment. My hair was BLACK.
After several minutes of hyperventilating and the realization that most anytime you go to the salon you find yourself in shock, I thought to myself, "why don't you sleep on it and see how you feel in the morning?...Perhaps it's not as bad as you think..."
The following morning I awoke, anticipating that perfect deep brown displayed on the sultry model on the Feria box of hair color in my own luscious locks.
As if I were in Groundhog's Day, the Home Alone moment played all over again. Still black. Now I was in full panic mode.
Thankfully, I'd happened to have met Nikki from Anastasia Salon only two days before and, not knowing of anyone else who I could trust to save my hair, I called her in my moment of desperation.
Nikki, who happened to be booked with clients all day, calmly told me to come in at my convenience (ahem, immediately for me!!) and that she could strip the color and fix me up in time for the wedding that evening.
I think I got to the salon before she'd hung up the phone. With a hoodie on. I couldn't bear to be in public looking like the Bride of Frankenstein. Unless, of course, it was Halloween. Which it wasn't.
Within minutes, I was sitting in the chair and Nikki was explaining to me what she could do and understood exactly what I'd originally wanted.
Even better was how she delivered. She managed to strip my hair of the color in a completely non-abrasive manner and touched up my mane, bringing out my natural color base and adding just a hint of beautiful reddish highlights. She even topped it off by styling my strands into a classic 1920's hairstyle. I walked out of there, with plenty of time to spare for getting into costume, feeling like the Belle of the Ball.
Now, sometimes you have a perfect haircut or color and it's a one-hit wonder. Not with Nikki.
Months later, only just recently, I returned to her, ready for more of a summer look. Wanting to keep my base and add just the right sun-kissed look, Nikki, again, knew exactly what I wanted and, boy, did she deliver.
In fact, it looks even better than I could've imagined. She gave me some super helpufl tips to maintain the look and to protect my tresses. I've followed her instructions and have woken up nearly every morning having a "perfect hair day" ever since.
It's been about a month since Nikki last worked her magic on me and I still get compliments as if I just stepped out of the salon.
Usually, it takes you awhile to get used to a certain cut or color or, after awhile, the great new look wears off.
I've been to many stylists over the years, always hoping and praying they could deliver what I envision. I have found The One.
It is a first that I like my hair better and better every day since stepping out of Anastasia Salon.
It's no wonder Nikki's been voted by New Times as Miami's Best Hairstylist.
With her knowledge, talent, and passion for hair, she's definitely the girl you want to help you look and feel your very best! -

I've been a long time fan of Anastasia and was very happy to discover that she opened her own salon. I went for my first visit yesterday (cut and color) and was very pleased with the results.
Nikki cut and styled my hair and Anastasia worked magic with color.
Nikki is great. She listened to all of my concerns and incorporated my requests into the cut (I went from long hair to a slightly jagged, chin-length, NON-puffy bob). It's rare to find a stylist that is good at listening AND good at achieving the look desired, so kudos to Nikki for being a rock star with the scissors, blow dryer, and products.
Anastasia is gifted with the ability to see color in ways the normal human can't. She is knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to give you the color you want in the least damaging way possible.
Clearly, I'm a fan. -

I got bad color, bad extensions and a bad haircut. The color was horrible and then the girl who did my cut never even touched or looked at my hair dry. Wet hair has NOTHING to do with dry hair. Their system of handing over a wet head for a cut and never analyzing what kind of hair they are working with is wrong! I ended up with bangs on curly hair. NOT CUTE!

After months of walking around with dull, brassy highlights, I stopped accepting salon referrals from friends and coworkers, and scheduled an appointment with Anastasia after reading the reviews on Yelp.
Right on Biscayne Boulevard, the place was easy to find and had ample parking in the back. The salon reminded me of a dollhouse - tastefully decorated, comfortable and maintained. The service is great too!
Within a couple of minutes, Anastasia knew what I was going for and what I was trying to avoid. She is great at what she does and it shows in her work. Another plus was that the products did not have a strong smell!
I am looking forward to my next visit - I am strongly considering the Keratin treatment! -

Great salon went for the Keratin treament the owmer ended up doing my hair, Anastasia. She was very friendly, and knowledgeable. The salon was cute with a a few parking spaces in the back. the salon in nice it adorable fits very well into the surrounding neighborhood. They offered me a few times coffee, tea, water. I will definately be going back here for my keratin treatments.

I have been looking for a long term hair stylist relationship since I moved to Miami 14 years ago! I believe I found her yesterday with Nikki. We had a great connection. She is talented, well-educated and well-spoken. I am so HAPPY and look forward to my next appointment!!
The salon is comfortable and cozy, stylish and unpretentious. I really liked their products, and there was plenty to look at with all their jewelry. I would like to get a facial there sometime, too! -

I went to the salon the first time this past Monday to have a hair cut and a Keratin treatment to my hair with Agi. It was a truly wonderful experience!
Agi has an amazing personalty and made me feel very comfortably in doing a treatment i hadnt done before. With a very professional hand and easy going style she did an excellent job with my hair....it feels like silk!
I would highly reccomend this salon for the coppola keratine treatment and ask for Agi...you will be pleased!

So I bought a coupon off couptessa for a keratin treatment and haircut at this salon because the price was perfect.. this place exceeded my expectations! From the moment I stepped foot through the doors to when I left I was impressed. The salon is extremely cute and welcoming and offer you a beverage upon entering. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Anastasia did my keratin treatment and was so educated about it (among other things) and was easy to talk to so the time went by fast. While waiting 30 minutes needed during the treatment, I was surprisingly offered a hand massage by Silveria (massages are my weakness so who could turn this town) that lasted easily 20 minutes and was AMAZING and so relaxing. She is the one who does the massages and facials aspect of the salon and just from that little hand massage I received, I can tell she would be awesome for a regular massage (which is only $1/min, a ridiculous deal in itself). After my keratin treatment was complete, the haircut followed. As a preface, I get horrible haircut anxiety and think taking even an each off is significant, so I am always somewhat on edge when it comes to cutting my hair. Nikki, who I found out was just voted the best hairstylist in Miami yesterday, did a perfect job. She gave me her advice of what would be best and did exactly what I had asked her to. Another thing I noticed was that all the products and services provided by this salon are extremely competitive and reasonably priced, which is rare in Miami. Overall I had an amazing experience. I'm so glad I bought the coupon otherwise I would have never discovered this place. I would recommend this place to anyone, and plan on coming back for more haircuts, treatments, and massages in the future!!

i desperately needed to fix what was becoming a disaster and i really wanted to start 2012 looking fabulous. well, thank God for yelp, you guys and Nikki! i had already been to tod's a few times and it was ok. i was willing to pay to get a great cut and it was worth every penny. i was happy that when i called they took me in the next day. i love the place, the location, the vibe was young and chic and everything that i was looking for. i showed Nikki the pics of what i was looking for and she was so excited by them, i really felt confident that i had made the right choice. i got EXACTLY what i wanted...that has only happened maybe 5 times in my life. Nikki showed me how i should blow dry my hair to get the best look and though she showed me some products that she likes to use and that would work great with my new do, she was never pushy or tried to sell me anything. i can't wait to go back and i'm bringing my sister with me. they've got a customer here!

I've been going to Nikki for two years and I absolutely love her. She is definitely an expert in her field! From cuts to color, keratin to extensions. I have been extremely happy with every service this salon has to offer! They never let you leave without fully explaining the proper techniques to make your look last the longest! Everyone is extremely friendly there and recommend whatever you need they will provide and do it with sheer excellence! :)

I stumbled on this jewel of a salon through a random Coup Tessa Coupon for a discounted Keratin treatment for only $100. I didn't t know what to expect but I sure was pleasantly surprised as walked into this trendy shabby chic decorated boutique in the heart of Miami. Immediately I was greated by Nikki and Agi who treated me to the most perfect salon day I have ever had. Nikki is a master colorist and treated my hair to a beautiful tinted gloss of color. This was followed by a magical and quick Keratin treatment that left my hair conditioned and straight. The treatment, to my suprise took only about one hour! Not the lengthy 4 hour grueling processes I have experienced in the past. All in all, this salon gets my top recommendation. A must go. You won't be disappointed. Actually, I wish I lived closer because I would go there everyweek! Prices are extremely reasonably. Excellent work!

What a fantastic experience!! A fun and funky little salon...with a great vibe and great services! The location is the 2nd floor of a historic building - on top of a cute vintage shop. Anastasia and her stylists - provide you with a relaxing and hospitable experience. Anastasia herself, gave me the Coppola Keratin treatment - to straighten my frizzy locks. Then I had a great cut with Nikki! During the services, I was offered espresso and an ipad - to relax and feel pampered. Wonderful music peppered the air...for a true Miami feel. I highly recommend Anastasia Molchanov Salon - for an uplifting, relaxing, pampered and fun experience - with excellent services! They will make you feel right at home! :)

What a great salon! I went for a Keratin treatment and have since returned for a haircut, and I am thrilled with my new do. Anastasia and Nikki are both super knowledgeable and friendly. Like another reviewer said I feel like I've known them for years. I am definitely a convert and will be going back to try highlights soon. I recommend this place.
