My housecleaner was MIA, and I received the recommendation about Ana and her crew from a friend. WHOA! Was this an awesome choice!
The place looks immaculate, and smells like the outdoors. I asked Ana if she could clean my big ass windows, and she told me it was no problem. I think the clean windows- which are ceiling almost to floor- is my favorite miraculous change. The white tile floors in my kitchen look new... even the grout! I returned to the apartment a little early, and particularly loved the way the ladies hummed and sang while doing their work.
The price was fair and the results spectacular! Ana's doesn't carry five stars for nothing! -

I called Ana again this past weekend after about a year and a half of trying to keep up on housekeeping myself combined with periodic visits from Evelyn's Janitorial Service (http://www.yelp.com/bi...). Boy, is the difference painfully clear. Evelyn and I do a decent job but it's nothing like what Ana and her team do...the most notable teammember in MY book being Vanea.
Ana returned my call promptly as always, and the appointment was set for just a few days thereafter. No detail was left untouched. I keep looking around and I can't find anything that Vanea and her partner didn't take care of, and take care of WELL. While I can't afford to have them come in monthly like I had hoped (and dreamed), I really do need to call them at least a few times a year. SO worth it!2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

We decided to hire Ana and her team after a friend of mine recommended her (and yes she is one of the reviewers below!). We were looking for someone who we knew we could trust working around our two (sometimes crazy, mostly very sweet) cats.
Though the initial set-up of appointments and key-exchange can take some patience, I think once you set a routine, all runs very smoothly. Most importantly, Ana's team is clearly hardworking, trustworthy, and kind. Though I haven't met them, my husband has, and he said the are quite friendly and nice.
Now to the exciting part: Ana's team is great at what they do. They have good judgement about which parts of the apartment to leave alone (personal stuff, work-in-progress, cat stuff) and which parts to give a good hard scrubbing. They have closely followed our instructions and done a wonderful job each time. After I came home to see the first deep-cleaning, I almost passed out and was hooked from there. Ana's prices are fair and honest and we will definitely continue working with her.
PS. For those of you who are sensistive to smells and/or are pet owners, note that Ana doesn't use anything harsh or foul smelling. We come home to a totally clean space but without the usual cleaning product fumes, which I think is pretty incredible. -

I've never used a cleaning service before and chose Ana because of the other Yelp reviews. I'm glad I did! She and her brother have cleaned my condo twice now and did a fantastic job both times. The floors are spotless, the kitchen shiny, the bedrooms fresh and the bathroom as sanitary as an operating room. Seriously! They do a great job and for a very reasonable price.
She charges more for the first cleaning because they do a serious, thorough deep-clean which isn't necessary once you are on a regular schedule. They don't forget a thing: inside of the microwave, check; toilet bowl, check; baseboards and behind the couch, check; stove top and oven, check; windows and mirrors, check.
If you're questioning whether or not housecleaning service is worth the cost, let me tell you that it definitely is unless you really like cleaning. Here's what helped me realize that: I asked myself "would I be willing to spend x hours cleaning a stranger's home for $y?" (where x and y are the amounts Ana quoted for my place). If the answer is "no, I'd rather spend those x hours at my job doing something I enjoy (at least more than I enjoy cleaning) and earning $y+z" (where z is a positive number). If your answer to that question isn't "no", then you ought to consider quitting your job and cleaning homes for a living!

I hired Ana and her crew to clean our house upon move-out. We had made an appt with another company who ended up flaking on us - yikes! But we called Ana, and she was able to squeeze us in on same-day! It was a god-send because we needed move out the next day.
So about the quality of service...Ana and her team did an AMAZING job! I hired someone to clean the place upon move-in, and Ana did a noticeably better job. Every single crevice was sparkling, including the oil-ridden fans above the stove! It was so clean that the husband (who tends to be quite frugal) was convinced that we should have professional cleaners clean for us regularly! Too bad we're moving out of the Bay Area...otherwise Ana would have another regular customer! :) -

@ Chris H. and a few others with poor reviews. I have worked with Ana for 6 years and she has moved with me from house to house. She is reliable and honest. She is also responsive. English is not her first language, so things can get lost in translation, but overall my experience has been great. If I want her to clean something in a particular way, I let her know and in some cases, show her so there is no question.
And finally, if you believe someone took something from you, let her know, don't post it on the web, that isn't fair. As for her taking the supplies with her, why don't you call or text her to bring it back. I'm pretty sure she would not take supplies on purpose. Ana works hard and is one of the only cleaning services I have worked with that is consistent and responsive.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I had Ana clean my condo before a party. The cleaning job was good, she definitely made the place sparkle. However, I discovered something missing after they left, just a trinket but something I have had for a long time. I also went to the store to buy cleaning solution for the hardwood floors which she helped herself to when she left. Her assistant also derailed the kitchen drawers and didn't bother to tell me and made quite a racket slamming every cabinet door possible. I suppose all those things could be explained by honest mistakes, so I guess that adds up to sloppy?

Over time I've gotten to know Ana & have found her to be an absolute Sweetheart. I trust her team in our house and with our kitty. Consistently, we have been happy with the quality of the work. I LOVE coming home to a sparkly clean house! Without reservations I recommend Ana's Housecleaning.

Ana has cleaned my house for about the last year and a half. Prior to hiring Ana, I had employed another cleaner who did a bang-up job in the beginning but then got worse and worse as time went by, largely because he started outsourcing his work to lesser talents.
Ana and her team have very consistently maintained their high-quality work. I have a 5br house with 4 other roommates and frankly we are a disgrace to first world living standards; however, if you visit the day after Ana comes by you might mistake us for "civilized." -

Reading through the reviews on Ana a definite trend emerges...there are only 1 and 5 star ratings, no inbetweens.
So what I take this to mean is that IF Ana shows up and cleans your place you will be happy with the result. That's a big IF in my experience.
I called her to arrange a cleaning for move-out last week. I had to change the time on her but I gave her a weeks notice and she said that would be a fine new time. So I moved all my stuff up to Sacramento and was busy there the day of the appointment, my GF's sister was babysitting the place to let her in. Alas, she called at 1 pm and left a somewhat garbled message that seemed to make clear that she wasn't going to be on time. I unfortunately missed the message so I'll accept some culpability for the missed signals. I did get the message around 2 or so, called back and left a message but did not hear back until 3:30 or so, at which time I had already told my poor friend not to sit around in an empty apartment any longer.
The circumstances were not ideal and perhaps I could have salvaged things had I been more present (in person or on the phone) but in the end she failed to appear any time close to the scheduled time. If I had known she was this unreliable I would have made other plans and probably recouped more of my deposit than I will eventually get.
I suppose my best advise would be if you are not flexible with the timing of your cleaning needs go with a more reliable cleaner. If it's not critical, maybe she is worth a shot...just make sure that you have flexibility about when she will actually show up! -

I have not a single complaint regarding ana's services. Truth be told, I am a work-from-home self employed web designer. Having a clean zen like space to work is worth a lot to me, and I can admit that I'm a complete slob and probably not the best housewife. Dishes aren't my forte.
I will do some prepping out of my own guilt such as loading the dishwasher, rinsing off the dishes, picking up the bong and related paraphernalia, putting the clothes in the laundry. Yes, I clean for the cleaners. When Ana and her crew arrives they sweep in at whirlwind speed and clean from top to bottom.
They will leave no stone unturned, down to the tiniest detail. Organize all my messed up perfume bottles, pull the couch out from the wall and clean underneath, wash the floors UNDER the rugs, vacuum and clean out the cat beds, take out my trash all the way to the garbage cans...They do a fabulous job. If you point out some areas that need spot cleaning (once I asked all the windowsills done, and the windows outside washed) they will be happy to accommodate. Another occasion her team folded all my clean laundry that was left on the bed.
Sure, the occasional little spot is missed but I'm not the type of person to put on white cloves and inspect, and complain. They already do enough of a fabulous job.
If you are looking for a great crew, smiling faces, honest prices, and a manager who speaks English fluently, with attention to detail -- get Ana.
I just gave her my keys to come twice a month and do regular cleanings -- my husband and I think the service is completely worth it. -

I was in a bind about a month ago and needed my place cleaned asap. I found Ana's Housecleaning on Yelp and after reading a few reviews, I decided to give them a call.
I called her on a Monday and she said they would show up on Wednesday morning. They were on time, and all I have to say, is that in the 6+ years I have used cleaners, I've never seen a more thorough team than Ana and her partners.
Their attention to detail is amazing and they are so thorough that it's mind boggling. They are a bit more expensive than your average cleaners, but you get what you pay for and cannot go wrong with Ana's team.
I am not big on recommending people and/or services... check out my other Yelp reviews as they're usually reserved for terrible dining experiences, but Ana and her team are hands-down the best cleaners I have ever used. -

Gearing up for a three week vacation out of the country, I thought it would be nice to come home to a super clean place, so I was in the market for a house cleaner. I was impressed by all the 5-star reviews Ana has received, but I must confess that I was a little cautious after reading the half dozen 1 star reviews for her not showing up for appointments and not calling. But I figured I'd give her a try and just take the experience with a grain of salt if it didn't work out.
I initially called on June 16 and received a call back on June 17 from Ana. We agreed to meet on the afternoon of June 25. She said she couldn't give me a specific time, because she was seeing another client before me. No problem. I called and left a message on June 24 just to confirm everything was still set. I didn't hear back, and when 3:30 pm on June 25 rolled around and I hadn't received a call or seen Ana, I admit that I was starting to think I'd been stood up.
But then at five after 4, her brother Juliano called. They had arrived after all! They had a crew of 3 people (Ana, Juliano and their mom Iza) to clean my little studio apartment, and boy did they ever clean! They were at my place for nearly three hours. Now I consider myself a fairly neat person, although I do have pets and they definitely add to the dust, but I was blown away when I saw their work. They cleaned EVERYTHING. If it was under or behind or around something, they got it. If it was one of those little corners I had been carefully avoiding thinking about for God-knows-how long, they thought about it and cleaned the hell out of it. They even scrubbed my 5 year old coffee pot until it looked brand new! Total price for 3 hours work was $160, plus a $20 tip. (I talked them down from $180 to $160 from their initial estimate.) They said the price would be significantly less if I had them come regularly ($80 bi-monthly or $120 monthly). As soon as I get back, you can bet I'm going to call them to make the arrangements!
All in all, I'm delighted with my experience, and I hope you will be, too! -

Got a great referral to Ana from a friend. On the phone she quoted me over 3 TIMES what she charges that friend and my place is only 1 bedroom larger. Still I scheduled an appointment with her due to the rave reviews. She couldn't come until 1 week from my initial call and not at the most convenient times. Anyway, cleaning day comes...
NO CALL, NO SHOW, apparently no professionalism. Disappointing to say the least, especially having stayed home from work to meet her! -

I contacted Ana after reading the reviews on Yelp and thank goodness! Her team of cleaners are FABULOUS! OMG...I cannot thank them enough for leaving my place sparkly, fresh clean (not that my place was THAT messy to begin with...a little dusty yes, but not crazy messy mind you)!!

Ana has come to clean our apartment 4-5 times now. I wanted to wait to do her review til I'd seen whether the cleaning was consistently of the same quality, and it is. She does a very good job with the kitchen and bathrooms, which are my least favorite areas to clean. And she's put up with my neuroses (I called her at 10 pm on a Friday once because after she'd cleaned I couldn't find my hairbrush. She knew exactly where she'd put it; I insisted it wasn't there. She was right. Seriously, I can't believe she put up with me. But I'm glad she does.)

As good as it gets says it perfectly regarding Ana's talents. This was my first experience with both her and her cool brother. I expected a clean space, but this is quite a level above just that.
My apartment looks clean, feels clean, and IS clean! Use her- any other choice is just plain silly. -

I'm confused by the 1 star reviews. I chose Ana because she had nothing but 5 star reviews on here! I've never had a problem with scheduling and she's been cleaning my place for over a year now. Also, she always answers the phone when I call. As I type, she is here with her team kicking ASS in my loft while my cat hides in the closet. Ana also knows the BEST products to use for cleaning and has given me some great tips! She and her team are all really sweet and with all the time in the world I couldn't get my place as clean as they do. I'm going to upload pictures so you can see. They do an especially magical job on the brushed metal appliances and granite countertops - sparkly! And they get into all the crevices and make my floor look like a showroom :-)

these guys are awesome. 4 of them just came in and turned this place upside down, and in every good way possible.
we're moving out of our house after having been here for 6 years, and while our place was clean, there were lots of little things i couldn't deal with cleaning while moving out. examples: our dirty patio, which over time has accumulated pigeon feathers, my failed planting experiments, and just dust and nastiness. another example is our stove: the grime that has accumulated over the years has taken on a form of it's own, and nothing i can do has taken it off. oh, and the bathrooms. ugh. i hate cleaning the potty.
i called ana yesterday and made an appointment for today at 2. they showed up on the dot, with everything - cleaning supplies, vacuum, and magic eraser-thingies. and within 3 hours, our patio, fridge, stove, bathrooms were sparkling clean.
i guess was struck me most was how conscientious they were. i caught ana's mom climbing into the space above the fridge to wipe it down. juliano was trying to scrape off some old paint from the floor and scraping off the grease from our stove. ana even double checked everything after everyone left.
they're super friendly, polite, honest (she didn't even take my magic erasers even tho i had left them on top of her cleaning supplies), and accommodating. they even got some old rug stains out. these guys are genius.

Ana and her crew have been cleaning our apartment for about a year now, twice a week and we are very happy. We pay less than we used to for Marvel Maids, and Ana does a much better job (eg, furniture is moved before the floors are vacuumed, a major failing with MM). Plus, if you ask, Ana's guys will do windows - inside and outside (assuming easy access), which is soooo great.

I want to add my rave of Ana's services. We have a loft in SOMA which she cleans every other week. She and her brother do a phenomenal job. We have three pets and you would never guess, thanks to her. Our place is always spotless when she leaves.

The initial cleaning was unbelievable. I have never seen my hardwood floors look so good. I am curious what other cleaners have been doing in the past . Plus like other reviews, it makes me so happy when I see the toilet paper as a flower or other creative concoction. Sometimes I get another roll out because I want to keep it as long as possible. Ana and her family are very fast and efficient. Highly recommend them.

Ana and her brother have been cleaning our SOMA loft for about a year now and I have to say that they are the best! They are dependable, quick and I like the fact that they don't use a lot of chemicals to clean, they clean with soap and water so our home doesn't just smell clean, it is clean! Our old housekeepers always left our things in the wrong spot so we would always have to reorganize everything but not Ana, when we come home after she's cleaned everything is in its correct place! And we especially love the cute folded paper flower on the toilet paper roll!

I could not be more impressed with Ana's crew of miracle workers! I hired them based on other yelp reviews for a move-out cleaning this week. It was last minute but Ana was friendly and accommodating and her team transformed our 3 BR apt in about five and a half hours of very hard work.
The place was in embarrassing condition after 7 years of family life that put everything above housework on the list of priorities, but they got it cleaner than it was the day we moved in. There were several really tough jobs like the bathtub, the stove and fridge, but they restored those and thoroughly cleaned everything else from top to bottom. I also appreciated that they brought all their own supplies.
The team was sweet, polite, honest and very patient. I'm so glad I used their service, and I'm hoping I can make some budget to have them come for regular cleanings of my new place too. -

I found Ana on Yelp after another cleaner I hired no showed twice. She put me on the calendar and I've had that spot since. Ana and her crew are punctual, polite, and extremely hard workers. They move furnitures, clean under the litter box, and even sweep the front porch area. I look forward to coming home on Fridays knowing I have a super clean house. We love them so much that they have agreed to cross the Bay Bridge and clean our new house in Oakland.

Ana's Housecleaning Services is a perfect example of great and honest team. These days it is very hard to look for a good quality and honest cleaning service. I have tried different housekeeping services before but nothing compares to the quality that Ana have provided me. I can say that Ana's Housecleaning Services provides the standard and the basis for quality in housecleaning. I've been employing Ana Housecleaning Services for almost a year now. I can fairly say that they are the best. The first time I meet Ana, I am not so sure about the quality of the services of her team. I have contacted her just based on the reviews from other employers hiring her services. After the work, I was really surprised about what she did. She was able to clean my entire house from top to bottom, from inside out and she was able to exceed my expectation. Ana and her team are very professional. She is always on time during work. She never misses a day and always prompts a good quality which is often ignored by people. She is dedicated and always wears a smile. You could tell the kind of effort and work put into it the moment you step on the floor. The floor is sparkly clean and shiny. The house smells really good. She was able to clean literally every corner of my house. She can reach spots I myself never knew existed! She takes time to clean other places like stoves and refrigerators. What amazes me is her consistency. She maintains the same quality of service with every visit. I need to give credit where credit is due; and Ana's Housecleaning team is the best in the cleaning industry according to me. I'm going to hire her cleaning services on a permanent basis and recommend her to other people have housekeeping needs. Great work!

I called Ana after reading great reviews on Yelp. We had just bought a new home and the house was already clean from being in open houses and the seller had it cleaned after stagers removed the furniture after the closing.
I am a clean freak so, although the house looked clean, I still wanted to wipe down all the cabinets and fridge and clean the floors and deep clean bathrooms. Ana was on time but came by herself. She had quoted me $150 for cleaning 3 BA, 4 BA house and told me she had a crew when we talked on the phone. This cleaning was different than regular cleaning because the house was empty and already clean. She showed up by herself without hardly anything. Just a bucket and some rags. I hardly had any cleaning solutions or materials at the new house because I had not moved in yet. I gave her some vinegar and clean sponge to wipe down the refrigerator and she evidently used vinegar to clean the bamboo floors too. I never heard of anyone cleaning wood floor with acid! And for bathrooms, she used my Lysol Wipes. I guess no deep cleaning! I was hoping for scrubbing the tiles and sinks but, no! She was at my house for 3 hours and at the end, her mother showed up with a small vacuum cleaner and vacuumed carpeted area. Then she charged me $180. For 3.5 total man hours? Wow! I paid her and since she said she will come back for regular cleaning, I wanted give her another chance to prove that she can do better than this and explain to me how she came about charging me $68 per hour for cleaning an empty house. She never bothered to call me for over 3 weeks after that cleaning. She seemed nice enough but as a cleaning professional, I do not trust anyone cleans with a few rags and does not come prepared with cleaning materials. I am deeply disappointed this time with other Yelper's reviews. She may leave your home looking clean but, is it really clean? I think not. -

I am very disappointed with Ana's customer service. I called her last week to schedule a date for her to clean my house. She said she could not give me a quote on the cost until she views my place. We set a time for her to come to my house this week. She no-showed and did not call. I followed up with her 2 days later and left a message asking her to call me. I still have not received a callback. Very UNPROFESSIONAL and NOT RELIABLE as others have written on Yelp.

Over many years I have had numerous housecleaners work in my home. Ana and her brother are by far THE BEST. They do a fantastic job EVERY time they come to clean. They are very efficient, careful and detailed and really take care of the stuff you would consider important. I trust them both competely in caring for the things home. The other important aspect of having folks do work in my home is that I do not want to dread the experience. My experience with Ana and her brother is all together very, very postive. They are warm and kind people who I look forward to seeing every two weeks. I feel very lucky to have found them both.

Ana and her mother and brother have done a terrific job cleaning our house for over four years. They are extremely reliable and conscientious. As others note, they use a lot of earth-friendly products and make everything clean and shiny without lots of smelly, toxic stuff. They are also totally dependable---if you are having friends over for dinner after Ana was scheduled to work, you will be happy to arrive home to find everything in sparkling order. Thanks to the Yelp reviews for helping me find Ana! She came for a deep clean today with Juliano. They were on time, brought they own supplies, worked non-stop scrubbing my filthy place clean and were cheerful despite the late hour. My apartment is spotless now and the price was very fair.
