I am not sure where the dirt was that some other reviewers mentioned, this place was sparkling clean.
Friendly service, I had Ranchera Eggs, and I loved it; however, I didn't try the rice. They serve pretty basic dishes, and I will be back to try some more.
Their refried beans have no animal fat! -

This is another one of those little places on the side of the road that I have passed many times, this time I stopped for lunch and I'm glad I did. Nothing fancy, just good food at a good price and very good service too. I was hungry for a burger and there were several on the menu. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries and a Coke. My drink was brought right away and my burger arrived soon after. The burger was good, cooked just right and came with Thousand Island Dressing. I liked to bun too, it wasn't one of those small flimsy buns that starts falling apart before you're even halfway finished with your burger. It was a nice fresh but firm bun that was lightly toasted that held together to the last bite.
I saw other items on the menu that I want to try so it looks like I'll be coming back sometime for breakfast & dinner! -

Great food, great people.
The place may look a bit rugged on the outside, but at the end of the day it's about the cleanliness of the inside and the taste and quality of the food. All are amazing.
Their burgers are great. My favorite is the Bacon BBQ Burger.
Their Sandwiches are great. Chicken salad is my favorite.
Chili cheese fries are fresh, chili made in house.
Service is fantastic. All of the servers are polite and constantly making sure everyone is taken care of.
I'd say that if anything, their only real downfall is that they currently only accept cash as their card machine isn't working right now. However, My mom used to own a small restaurant so I know first hand how much these things can cost just for the hardware and the service, so I'm not complaining.
Definitely try Ana's!!! You'll love it!!! -

The HOBO egg breakfast ($6.50) had scrambled/fried eggs, ham, onions, peppers, tomato, mushrooms, cheese AND BACON http://www.yelp.com/bi...
...and reduced my life expectancy by AT LEAST a few months....
The Biscuit in Gravy (aka Gravy soup topped with a BIGASS biscuit) http://www.yelp.com/bi... NEARLY FUC*ING KILLED ME ON THE SPOT.
For the record....I would have died happy. =) -

If your going for a hike at Devil's Punch Bowl, this is a great place to stop by and fuel up on some great diner food at great prices.
Once you walk in a sit down, you do not feel like you are only an hour from LA. This can be a good or bad thing depending on who you are. I for one, enjoyed it. Not only did I feel like I was far from the city, but I felt like I was in a different decade. You'll know what I am talking about when you see the wood paneled walls. The only thing that ruins the illusion is the flat screen TV on top of that salad bar. Luckily I was looking away and easily lost in my time traveling fantasies.
The food? Pretty damn good! I ordered the cheeseburger. Very simple. My favorite part was actually the toasted bun. My friend ordered the BBQ bacon burger which he enjoyed immensely. There are so many items on the menu, that I would love to come back and try.
Service was very friendly. The waitress split up our check without us even asking, which made paying with our cards easier. -

After a trail at the saddleback butte, we were hungry and yelped for some places to eat.
This little place came up and we figured we'd try it.
It's a very small, plain diner.
The service was great we got to pick where we wanted to sit.
We ordered a cheeseburger, grilled cheese, and a chicken breast sandwich.
The cheeseburgers with the fries were pretty good, the buns were toasted and everything else in it tasted fresh.
The grilled cheese was also pretty good, perfect amount of cheese, and you also get to pick the bread.
The grilled chicken sandwich was delicious, chicken was seasoned and grilled right, bread was also toasted.
This place serves the usual American dishes and they even have a mexican portion of the menu.
Overall, this was a good find and I would definitely come back again. -

A is for Ana's Cafe and A is for ANACHRONISM.
ANACHRONISM (noun) 1. something or someone that is not in its correct historical or chronological time, esp. a thing or person that belongs to an earlier time.
That's how it is defined on http://dictionary.com. and that's the best word to describe my meal at Ana's Cafe.
The menu and atmosphere of this place are more reminiscent of Indiana, Nebraska, Wyoming or some other red-state in flyover country. The pricing is anachronistic too as these numbers on the menu look like they belong in 1992.
I stopped by about 2 p.m. this afternoon on my way back from Victorville to grab a late lunch. The second I walked in the door I knew that this was the kind of cafe that would either be very, very good or very, very bad.
I lucked out-----it was very, very good.
They had a large enough menu including served all day breakfast dishes, but I was in a lunch mood, and I perused the menu looking for something different. However, I decided to play it safe and order a burger. A colossal burger. That's what they called it, and that's what I got. 2 patties that I would guesstimate were 5 or 6 ounces each, hand-formed and put on a bakery-style bun. A very good bun. A bun that would feel right at home at the Counter, 25 Degrees or one of the other high end places Down below.
(Did I mention that people in this area like to call LA "down below"?")
It came with just enough "special sauce" (aka 1000 island) and onions with the lettuce, tomato and pickle on the side.
TIME OUT FOR A RANT Why don't most places get it? These guys do. Don't put the salad on the burger before it is ready to be eaten. It keeps the meat hot and the lettuce cold. These guys got it right.
OK Where were we? Oh yeah it was an excellent burger. And guess what, it was only $5.95. Oh and that $5.95 includes a good-sized portion of fries. I asked for mine crispy, and they complied.
The whole meal including my Diet Coke came to $8.60-something. ten bucks with a tip. Also, the menu said I only was entitled to 1 refill on the Diet Coke. I hope I don't get Michelle in trouble as she brought me 2 or 3 without me having to ask.
One other thing about Ana's Cafe, they have entertainment. Live entertainment. I got to eavesdrop on the kind of people you don't meet very often in LA----real life red-necked conspiracy theorists. The kind of people I imagine Glenn Beck's call screeners have to turn away 8800 times a day. For instance, right after I walked in, 2 men--one obviously a regular; and another just passing thru town met at the door. Arriving at the same time they noticed that they each were wearing veterans hats and formed an instant friendship.
They both congratulated each other for going to Vietnam and sat down together at the counter for lunch. The regular was a guy about age 60 who must have weighed 115 pounds dripping wet with a gray ponytail halfway down his back. We can call him the Long Haired Old Guy (LHOG). His new friend was also a 60 year-old. He was a Texas truck driver with short gray hair and the roundest pair of bib overalls I have ever seen (call him SHOG).
One of them mentioned that Obama and Biden were traveling together to an event today, and the other speculated that if the plane crashed "Fancy Nancy" (Pelosi) would be the new president. The other mentioned that after her, "Dingy Harry" (Reid) was next in line. Give LHOG and SHOG credit. I doubt most Americans know their line of presidential succession as well as these two. LHOG mentioned that Hilary (no last name needed) was next and SHOG said "I wouldn't put it past the Clinton's to rub the others out so she can run the country". LHOG said he was "worried about the same thing". SHOG went on to bash Democrats, liberals, Arnold, and "some congressman back east" who apparently was mentioned on Rush Limbaugh today.
You just don't get eavesdroppings like that down below.

According to daughter, best grilled cheese ever
From the outside, we were not sure what to expect but we trusted the reviews on Yelp and gave it a try. We are very glad we did. For a very good price, we all enjoyed our dinner, from the salad bar that was fresh to the fried shrimp via the cheeseburger, sirloin and grilled cheese sandwich (which according to my daughter is the best one she ever had).
Service was very good so don't hesitate to stop there. -

This place has amazing breakfast! Had prime rib breakfast plate and it was great and the prices are just as good as the food. If you are in the area it's a must have. The staff is friendly and has that old school good feeling. Oh and the cheese burgers are amazing as well.

We stumbled upon this place accidently as we were exploring and going out for an adventure. I have to say that this place has great food!! We ordered the chili burgee and it was delicious. Also tried the carne asada tacos which are GOOD! Waffles and strawberries for like $3, cant beat that. If you're out in little rock for any reason, def try ana's cafe!
