Review from Jim P.

This was the nicest rooms we had this trip. It exceeded our expectations. I did not expect a kitchenette, but thats's what I got. The beds were clean and comfortable, with a sofa, chair and even a kitchen table. Plenty of space to spread out. Shuttle to Disneyland $8 right outside. Free parking, free Internet. Free access to printer for boarding passes. Gift shop with ample supplies and souvineers. 7-11 next door, restaurant/bar on site. 1/2 of 4th floor under renovations, but it was quiet even during work hours.
Highly recommended. Booked on Expedia and g ot 20% discount.
Sam at the front desk is great. -

Good hotel. If you would like a bigger room for the same price, go to the portofino across the street.

Hotel advertises: "$89 Year-Round Rate Military Discount! - $89 Deluxe Room w/2 queen beds." These reservations flyers were sent to installation MWR Ticket Offices for distribution to military members. I called Desert Palms from the MWR office and was informed that the Year-Round Military Rate was not available for July 30. Informed reservationist this required honoring advertised price and still refused. "Year-Round" with no asterisk means year-round. I questioned what the lowest rate that I could reserve and informed of $155. $155!!? "Honoring" military members? Further pursuing the requirement to fulfill at advertised rate, I informed that I would report to BBB. Still not "honoring" their advertisement reflects hotel's dishonor to military members. Respectfully submitted.

I loved this place! The room was huge, with the bath and bedroom complete with a TV in a media cabinet on one level, and then a step down into a full living room with a kitchen table and chairs, sofa, and another TV. Felt very luxurious. It was also meticulously clean and the housekeeper insisted on giving me a huge stack of fresh towels without me even asking when I declined to have her clean the room. The pool and hot tub were located in a courtyard in the center of the building and were great. The breakfast too exceeded my expectations with make your own waffles, and real eggs (not the kind you pour from a box) along with lots of other good eats.

Wow. This place rocked. Not just because of it's super-close proximity to Disneyland (I was there to visit family, not Mickey) or to the Convention Center... but because it way exceeded my expectations. For the rates I paid for this room, usually I can expect the front desk to be slow and unhelpful at best, but here everyone took a real interest in making sure my stay went perfectly. I got in a little late (after 10pm) and wanted to get dinner, not only did the front desk give me some recommendations, but she even got a map and drew out how to get to each of them, even telling me which particular items were especially good at each location (and she was right!). When I got to the room, I was stunned by the fact that it was so spacious and comfortable. Split-level with a big sunken living space- two big flat screen TVs, a couch, a desk where I set up my laptop and got a super-strong free WiFi connection without needing to call the front desk for a password. The next morning breakfast was delicious and again included in the room price. Fresh-made mini waffles, homefries, scrambled eggs, good salsa, etc. Not just the stale room-temperature donut and bad coffee that you often get at included breakfast buffets. Very chill pool and hot tub area in an open-air internal courtyard. And everything was spotless- the room, all the public spaces (lobby, pool). Later that night strolled over to Downtown Disney for a drink late at night after dinner with the fam. then crawled into my cozy giant bed in my clean quiet spacious room to watch Nacho Libre on TV. That movie was the only thing slightly disappointing about my stay. :) Bottom line, whether you're going to Disneyland, or a conference at the Convention Center, or just visiting family like I was, this place is perfect.

This was the hotel I stayed if I go to Disney in the past. But I will definitely change to another hotel later. During my last stay here with my family for seven nights here, I and my husband was bited by "BedBugs". We reported it to the hotel the next day and they changed a new room for us. But the guy said we just had allergy. That is the most aburd thing I heard. My husband and I absolutely has no any allergies to anything since born. Besides the bites look different than allergy. There are small hole of stings in the affected area. When we argued with the manager, the manager said that they went there and checked, they did not find any bugs. Anyone with bedbug knowledge should know that these bugs are very hard to find. Special lights are used to find them. Basically, I am quite unhappy about them this time and I will consult an atterney and see what we can do. But we will NEVER EVER stay in this hotel in the future.
