Great pick if you want an extremely closeby hotel. It's across the street from the exit of the park. Across the street!! You're not going to find a closer hotel unless you stay at one of Disney's. The location is also great because you're surrounded by lots of restaurants and shops. So not only are you a quick walk to Disneyland, but it's a quick walk to get some grub, too!
We got a great deal online. It was just $69/night (before tax/fees). Also, when we got there, they said they ran out of our type of room so they gave us a free upgrade to a spa room! We had a jacuzzi in our room!! Seriously, it was the BEST.
They do provide a free breakfast in the morning. Just pastries, coffee, a little fruit. It's nothing too exciting, but just enough to fill you up.
We'd definitely stay here again - especially if we can find another great deal. -

I will start by saying, the first time we stayed here, it wasn't so bad, the beds were hard & uncomfortable, but their price on a suite was great. It is also conveniently located directly across from Disney.
Now on to our second visit. It was actually a bit HORRIFYING!!! We checked in very late to our room, and put the kids into bed with out turning on all the lights. What a mistake! When we woke up in the morning we discovered the hotel blanket my kids had on their bed, had BLOOD on it! And NO, it was not theirs! Also, the security lock on our door was broken. After making a complaint to the front desk, we were assured the blood stained blanket and lock would be taken care of right away, and that management would be notified, regarding some compensation.
Housekeeping did in fact, give us clean linens & fixed the broken lock on the door. But there was NO mention made regarding compensation. So upon checkout, 3 days later, I inquired what compensation we would receive for the bloody blanket. Management informed me that they had analyzed the blanket, and it was not blood, it was just a stain. This seemed comical to me, so I asked if they had a DNA lab in the back. So after all was said and done, THEY REFUSED to comp us!
With such a health hazard as having my children exposed to somebody's disgusting blood, the least they could have done was attempted to act like they were sorry for our horrible experience. So needless to say, we were extremely disappointed in the cleanliness of the establishment & lack of customer care by management! -

This place is perfect for large groups. The suites here are so cheaply priced, the per capita cost and proximity to Disneyland's gate makes it completely worthwhile. Not a fan of their continental breakfast, nor would I step into their pool or en suite jacuzzi.
Like all hotels near to Disneyland, this one is old and outdated and reminds me of a 1960s motel. However, if you're looking for price/per person, this is the place to go.
Quick tip: if you get the double room suite (B, C1, C2 room layouts on their website), you only get ONE PARKING SPACE for that reservation, not two despite the fact that they are two rooms. If they have room in their parking lot, they'll let you park the second one, but it might be at a fee. FYI if you're driving in. -
Review from Krissy M.
PROS: Very close to Disney, clean and decent prices. I didn't have the continental breakfast, but hubs said it was decent for a quick AM snack.
CONS: Parking situation is a mess - jam packed parking lot, very low showerhead (even for me, a 5'2" shortie!) -

San Diego, CA
We stayed here this weekend on a recommendation from my brother and his family. The location is extremely convenient, across the street from Disneyland. We got their family suite where it is two rooms with one entrance. Both rooms have 2 queen beds, 2 full baths and 1 coffee pot. Each room has a tv. One of the rooms has a refrigerator and a microwave and the other had a small living room area with a third tv.
We arrived at the hotel about 9am and pre-checked in to get our parking permit so we could park at the hotel first then go to Disneyland. The hotel staff at the front desk were courteous and so were the parking staff. We found a parking spot quick and had no problems for our stay there. We checked in to our hotel about 3:30pm and found our rooms to be freshly cleaned and sanitized. Their middle elevators are slow. They have ice machines and a viewing deck for the Disney fireworks show but you cannot hear the music. Parking is $8.00 which is included in the price of the hotel which is better then the $15 at Disneyland.
We found a gem of a restaurant called Millie's Restaurant and Bakery down the street just past McDonald's on Harbor Blvd. The staff was friendly and courteous, their prices are reasonable and their food was delicious! Celia will take excellent care of you there!! Check out of the hotel was quick and easy.
We would stay at this hotel again. -

I was very impressed with the overall value of this hotel. You really can't get any closer to the entrance of Disneyland than from the Desert Inn. We had a parlor suite that was spacious, modern and very clean. The free continental breakfast room included coffee, juice, danish, cereal and fruit. The parking staff were all very nice and polite. An easy walk to McDonald's and a Denny's is right next door. Perfect family location. If you don't have a stroller for your kids, I don't recommend staying too much farther away from this hotel. We rented strollers at Disneyland and our kids (ages 4 &5) had just enough energy to walk back to the hotel, but just barely. Don't underestimate the end-of-day exhaustion and the added weight of carrying your toddler back to your hotel!

Decent spot for Disney-bound families, not wanting to pay top dollar at more premium hotels. Walking-distance from the park is the winning factor here, as it's literally across the street.
They got all your family-friendly basics here: Pool, jacuzzi, AC, cable TV, and tons of restaurants that will deliver. Their complimentary breakfast - two types of cereal, fresh fruit, bear claws/danishes, DIY toast, coffee, milk & OJ - has enough kid-friendly choices to keep the little ones happy. -

CONVENIENT LOCATION!
As an annual Disneyland visitor I have tried many hotels to find the perfect combination of location, convenience, comfort and price. This one is pretty good in my book. We stayed here during the week of Christmas this year, so the area was packed. Here are my observations.
Positives:
Location- It is at the pedestrian crosswalk to Disneyland. Shortest possible walk to the park (unless you're staying at Disney's Grand California, which we have).
Rooms- The room was spacious and clean. We got the King Spa suite and the spa was nice after a long day. There was a sitting area, microwave and refrigerator. It was generally quiet. Our room was by the elevator and about once a day we would hear a screaming kid, but nothing too loud.
Check-in- It was quick and simple. The staff was nice.
Price- I had originally booked 6 months in advance for the week before we went and got our suite for $77/night. Even with a last minute date change it was $103/night. The other hotels surrounding are significantly more.
Restaurants- There is a Denny's on one side and a Cold Stone Creamery and Captain Kidd's buffet on the other side. There is also a menu in the rooms of places that deliver for free.
Elevator- The hotel is 4 levels. There are a few elevators. We never had to wait for one; we got right in.
Negatives:
Bed- It was hard as a rock. I had to be careful not to sit too hard because it didn't bounce back...more like sitting on a table lol. My husband and I joked about it every time we had to lay on it.
Couch- It was somehow harder than the bed...
Parking- I was so happy we were dropped off and didn't have to deal with that parking situation. It is valet because they have to be REALLY CREATIVE to get all the cars in such a tiny place. The valets parking the cars aren't very cautious of pedestrians while moving the vehicles, so avoid them.
Continental breakfast- We tried it once...cheapy cinnamon rolls (hard), tiny apples and milk. Don't bother...there's a Denny's next door or eat in the park (Blue Ribbon Bakery is delicious!).
Overall, it was a great experience. We will stay here again because of the convenience of LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. -

A very convenient hotel if you want to go to Disneyland. It's right across the street from the park and has denny's and ihop on both sides of the hotel. There's also lockers to keep your luggage if you come earlier than check in. Not a five star hotel with lots of luxuries, but very good if you just want a place to sleep right after a long day at the park.

Oakland, CA
This location is great being right across the street from Disneyland. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They're not brand new, but it's not broken down.
Breakfast is all carbs. Boo. My dad was complaining, but I don't complain about free food. Paying for parking? Boo. But it's better than paying $15 at Disneyland.
I'd probably stay here again. I've stayed in nicer rooms by Disneyland, but the location is what's the closer. That, and the Coldstone right next to the lobby! -

San Diego, CA
Our stay was perfect. The room was exceptionally clean and esthetically pleasing. We loved the spa bath after a day of walking around Disneyland. The extra pillows, blankets, and towels are always very helpful, as is a cup of coffee first thing in the morning. Most of all, you can't beat the location.
Also, The parking garage staff are exceptional. They're very knowledgeable and eager to help. In fact, I left a light on in my car all day and when I got back my battery was dead. One helpful young man from the parking staff came to our rescue (light colored, buzzed hair/5'7 maybe). He used his own truck and cables to jump my car. I don't know what we would have done without him.
The off-season pricing really sealed the deal. I am an annual pass holder and I have already raved about this hotel to all my friends and insisted on return visits. It was the best Disney trip I've ever had. -

Summary:
The place is literally across the street from the entrance to Disneyland which is pretty awesome. The room is basic and lacking in luxuries so don't kid yourself into thinking you're getting more than a room to sleep in. We wanted Disneyland on a budget and that's what we expected going in and that's what we got. Worth the money and met the expectations we had.
Pros:
- Across the street from Disneyland entrance
- Clean showers and clean sheets (I think we got a remodeled room so YMMV).
- Parking included in room rate
- Mini fridge and microwave in room
Cons:
- Our room was the first room off the stairwell (203) so it was noisy.
- Expect high traffic with kids and noise.
- Breakfast was mainly processed pastries and basic toast so if you have some health concerns, be advised.
- Valet parking is required and I think they used it once or twice for jaunts so be aware. -

Lakeside, CA
Ok, I gave this place 5 stars NOT because it's a fancy 5 star hotel, but because the VALUE and CONVENIENCE cannot be underestimated. We have yearly passes to Disneyland and want to make the most of it. We have had friends recommend TONS of hotels and our result has been mediocre - until now.
We got two suites with connecting doors for us and our teenage girls. They were impeccably clean, with super comfy beds and because we were on the top floor, NO NOISE.
Continental breakfast is just that: cereal, juice, toast, sweet rolls, fruit. That's ALL you need to get started, no?
Pool - ok, it's cheesy that it's at ground level but once you are inside - it's heaven. It's heated just right, and it's clean, pretty large for swimming and relaxing after a long day walking around.
Location: Can you beat ACROSS THE STREET from Disney? I think not!
Price: Holy cow, compared to other places we saved almost 50% for BETTER accommodations.
Parking: Seriously????? You folks that complain - YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE!!! In the four days we were there we NEVER had problems parking. We even found a spot right by the elevators. HELLO? Get there late? What do you expect, man?
Ok, Elevator.... SLOW So what! Take the stairs. It won't kill ya!
Denny's: Wow, this Denny's is all about customer service, and right next door. PLUS, you get a 10% discount on everything if you tell them you stayed at the Desert Inn. Also, they have this 2.4.6.8 menu that is awesome for those on a budget. Ya don't have to eat those humungous meals ya know. Or share, for goodness sake!
Seriously, it's not a swanky place, and the decor is ok, but it's a great place.
Bonus: Sean, the guy at the front desk, could NOT be nicer!!! I do not understand these people who complained about their experience. After 4 days there, I met all staff and they were pleasant as pie. Seriously, folks, if you want NICE, ya gotta BE nice!!!! -

The hotel is okay for what it is but the yelp deal is a lie. They quote you 10 dollars more for the room over the phone than what their website does thus bringing down the price to the original online rate. Liars.

We stayed here last weekend with my family and some friends for a weekend getaway vacation. It isn't a fancy hotel but it exceeded my expectations. The staff is really friendly and our room was clean and received new towels everyday. They even propped up my daughters stuffed animals on their bed for them to see when they returned from their day in Disneyland.
We stayed in one of their family suites which had 2 rooms with 4 queen beds and a 2 bathrooms and a connecting door. There were refrigerators and microwaves in both rooms which is convenient with little ones that want warm milk morning and night. Our room was on the first floor which made it super easy to push our stroller out the door and into Disneyland and back. We never had to wake our kids up from their naps (huge plus). The hotel is located directly across the street from the entrance to both Disneyland and California Adventures.
This place was absolutely perfect for us. We are definitely recommending this hotel to other friends and family that plan on heading to Disneyland and California Adventures in the future. -

Chula Vista, CA
Though not the most aesthetic hotel/hotel rooms, this place will do; especially since it's right in front of Disneyland! It's literally around a 5 min walk between the hotel and park. We like it since we can take the kiddos back to the hotel room whenever they get tired throughout the day. Really convenient!

It's right across from Disneyland and I guess thats the only part thats great about it. They do have continental breakfast, which we didn't take part of.
The rooms well, they were decent, definitely no heavenly beds, but it will do. I mean you're only sleeping or napping here if you're going to Disney because of course, you are spending most of your "awake" time at the park. -

Oakland, CA
The 4th star is for the location: you can't beat it (unless you're staying on-property) or the price. VERY reasonable. For instance, we had a two-bedroom suite with a little area in the front so that we were able to fit five people in it....and I had my own room, my own air conditioning, my own TV, and my own shower (as the adult), and it was less than $100 a night DURING the Disneyland 50th Anniversary week. I couldn't hear the teenagers coming and going after midnight, which is the way I wanted it. The rooms are a bit tired and old, not anything new or fancy. Just a few steps from the crosswalk leading into Disneyland. Don't depend on the continental breakfast to get you through the morning, but Denny's is right next door. The pool looked less than satisfactory, as it's indoor, but we never bothered with it.
Actually, the only complaint I had in the two times I've been here is that only one car is allowed; how you're only gonna have one car with 5 people or more is beyond me, but that's their rule. -
Review from Janis V.
10 girls fit perfectly in the C2 Family Parlor Suite - we stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites for a bachelorette weekend for 3 nights in October. It included 2 adjoining rooms, 4 queen beds, 1 sofa bed, 2 bathrooms, 3 TVs, 1 microwave, and 1 fridge.
The rooms weren't bad at all for the awesome deal we got it for... fairly clean and comfortable. What made our stay even better was that it was literally right across the street from Disneyland, our nice-dinner at Roy's Restuarant, and clubbing at Heat Ultra Lounge, which is located at the Anahiem Gardenwalk! And Denny's is right next door - which fulfilled our late-night food cravings after a night of clubbing, and McDonald's is just down the street - we had breakfast there one day before heading over to Disneyland. We definitely saved money on cab rides because we were able to walk everywhere we needed to go.
I'll check this place out again for sure the next time I need a place to stay when I make plans to visit Disneyland again! -

If you are going to Disneyland and not staying at a resort hotel, this is arguable the best place to stay. It is probably the closest possible hotel in walking distance to Disneyland.
The hotel is clean and spacious for the quality of hotel it is, has a mini fridge in the room, and comfortable pillows!
The hotel may not be a "5 star" hotel, but definitely deserves a Yelp 5 star. -
Review from Judy T.
Fremont, CA
This place is good as long as you realize you only get what you pay for. $79/night for a one-bedroom suite seemed cheap so we prepared ourselves for the worse. But it definitely wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and realized for the price I paid, it was a good deal.
We stayed five nights. There is only one car space per room. As of 9/1/06, this place is literally a crosswalk across from the main entrance (you still have to walk 2-4 min to the ticket booths). Check-in was quick and friendly.
The room is pretty clean. There is an actual door that separates the living room from the bedroom/bathroom. 2 TVs. The beds were comfortable and the hotel had left extra pillows on a shelf. The sofa is kind of hard but okay since we didn't spend much time in the room. The water flow from the shower was great! There is a microwave and mini fridge too.
We didn't use the pool. The breakfast was VERY basic. Bread for toasting, Danishes, one kind of fruit (apples or oranges), butter/jam, coffee, hot water, milk, OJ, raspberry lemonade. There is free wi-fi in the hotel lobby only.
The best part of this place is the location. We skipped parking at Disneyland. Walked back to Harbor Blvd. for lunch and dinner and stopped at our room to replenish our water supply or have a rest and then walked back to park to enjoy the evening. We have a 3-year old so the short distance was great for us.
I would definitely recommend this place if you want to save money but get a suite (good for watching TV after kids go to bed). Plus the location cannot be be any better. -

San Francisco, CA
Had the opportunity to stay here the past couple of days. I'm torn between a 3 or 4 star rating.
4 stars because of its sheer location. It's across the street from the entrance to Disneyland. You literally walk across the street, walk through the bus stop terminals and you're at the entry gate. Parking was free at the hotel. Paid a little over $100/night Sun-Tue for a Parlor Suite. 2 queens with separate living root that has sofa bed. Fits 6 people. For us, we just wanted the extra space for the stroller and misc items.
3 stars because the beds were uncomfortable. Not to the point where you wake up with sore back or anything but it just didn't allow me to sleep through the night. I still woke up feeling energized, I must say.
The room was muggy and humid. Turned on the AC and it was still like that. Now it was very humid outside but I would not expect that to carry into the hotel room.
One elevator so it might be slow if you check in/out along with everyone during the typical times. Continental breakfast is coffee, juice, pastries and bread. Not a huge variety but there's a IHOP and McD steps away. -
Review from Barbara B.
Dixon, CA
Location is perfect for Disneyland, and if you get a standard room, it's a decent deal. The standard room comes with 1 free parking space, 1 coffee pot and 1 hair dryer. Problem is, if you get a suite you still get 1 parking space, 1 coffee pot and 1 hair dryer. I can understand that parking is at a premium, but not putting a coffee pot and hair dryer in both of the rooms in the suite was just plain stingy. In our case, the suite was the same as two standard rooms plus an uncomfortable fold-out bed, and it cost the same as two rooms.
TIP: If you stay here and have a large group with two cars, I would suggest getting 2 rooms so you get 2 of everything, the parking being the most valuable of the "extras." They send their overflow parking to the Hilton Convention Center, which is almost a mile and a half away. It costs $15/night, but it is clean, well lit and secure. Cab fare back to Desert Inn is about $7.50; all day pass on Anaheim city shuttle is $4. (All prices as of July 2009.) -

We arrived at 7:30am Friday We had planed to check our bags at the desk, as we always do at Disney (let me ad we are DVC members decided to stay off-site to stay with my dd's cheer team for nationals). The man said it was fine to check in our bags that did not fit in the lockers. He kept looking behind me at my step-mom and dd; I assumed it was because he was trying to figure out if bags would fit in the lockers. Later I find out he was watching what they were doing. I was going over room stuff with him, while my Step-mom and dd were putting on park shoes and making bags lighter to take into park. This is when the iPad was placed into her suitcase, she had not heard the conversation about lockers, and assumed it was safer to leave in the suitcase in the office than to carry around the park. I fill out the luggage tag, change my shoes and take the 3 bags to the door to the office, the man walks over and gets them while we were there. We checked to make sure we didn't leave anything behind and went to the lockers and put a lot of stuff in there.
3:30pm.. We arrive back at the hotel to get our room key and bags. We all pass out; we don't even open our bags.
At 6:15 we are getting ready to go to dinner and WOC, when the girls wanted to play angry birds. My SM went to get it and could not find it. She tore her bag apart and then we tore ours apart, it was gone. We spent over 20min looking for it, even under the beds. Both DD and SM remember clearly putting it into the bag. She had a spot she put it in
I called the front desk around 6:40. I asked if an iPad had been turned in. They said no. I said ok, well we checked our luggage in and it was inside a suitcase and it is gone. The man quizzed me on if the luggage looked like it had been gone through, who checked us in, who else was in the lobby, asked me if my dd took it, crazy questions. I said um no, it was left in the bag that we checked in, at this moment it hit me that the man was watching in detail were the iPad was placed and this is why he was asking so many questions about when we were coming back, etc. I told him the iPad needs to be returned or they will be reimbursing us for it. I asked him if I needed to call the PD, he said well if that is what you need to do. The man was being very very defensive. I called Anaheim P.D, they were very busy but she said she would call when an officer was on his way.
We go into the office and all the men look suspicious. There were 3 of them. The head guy again asked me a bunch of questions. I tell him again how I checked in bags, etc. He said he called the guy who checked us in and he confirmed my story, but no iPad. I notice all the cameras and point out were they cover and confirm that they have cameras in the room that stored the bags as well as the lobby were they were sitting. I said perfect, so we can review the tapes and follow the iPad. The man says yes, but he can't review the tapes only the supervisor can. So we left, but again said well hopefully someone will turn it in to lost and found. Again, giving them an out, as we just wanted it back. He also asked if we had any witnesses.. I said yes, our friends were in the lobby checking in when we were. They may have seen us with the iPad. He asked for their name/room number. I assumed it was for their in-house report....
I was up early on Saturday morning to deal with this. At 7:30 I call the front desk and tell them who I am and ask when the Supervisor would be in. He said oh at least another 30min. I said ok, I would call back then because Anaheim PD is meeting me to review the tapes with him. I again said well I was hoping it was turned into lost and found over night so I could avoid all this PD stuff. He said ok and hung up. Again, no one has seen or knew anything about iPad.
About 15min later the phone rang.. it was a guy saying he had a note left for him from the night before about a missing iPad. And that the guy who checked us in found it on the bench were we were sitting and had it put in the safe. And that it was in the safe the entire time. So we go down and get it. A man comes out from the office and says that his house keeping staff found it in the afternoon on the bench and he put it in the safe. We were dumfounded at the lies. He said we get accused all the time of stuff going missing and families get the PD out here, etc. My SM said well you better fix that you have a problem. He was lying. The staff said they called the supervisor, he said he was never called. He also said he was available when all this started. I'm like um you told me the guy who checked me in found it, and now housekeeping. He had no answer. It was not left on the bench, the staff that was there ALL DAY knew nothing about an iPad being turned in. I was so done and over it. The guys in the office all looked away when we looked in. It was a very uncomfortable position to be in. But having the iPad back was most important to us. -

Most of my score is for location! I've stayed here three times, and we're going back in a few months. Let me give you the 411 on our last stay. 8 adults in one 1-bedroom suite for New Year's! We had 3 couples fly down to John Wayne and taxi it to the hotel. We got there early, but they had lockers and we travel light. The last couple drove in from San Diego, so the one-car requirement didn't bother us. They parked, and we jammed to Disneyland. I find it funny that reviewers of this hotel on other sites say that it's not as close as you think from the maps. People! If you want to stay in the park, take your lazy, spoiled butts to at the Grand Californian and leave us partiers in peace.
Alternatively, I have stayed there with my parents, 4 adults in a 2-bedroom suite. It was quiet, clean, no problems with service.
I do agree the breakfast is pretty cheesy, but again, you paid a bargain price for the location and the size of the rooms. -

I don't like giving whiney, bad reveiws, but this place was disappointing. I had to book a room here after deciding on a last minute trip to Disneyland. The room was clean and the location was great - right across the street from Disneyland (this is why they get 2 stars). That's really the only worthwhile thing you pay for with this hotel (@ over $120 per night). The other hotels in the same location are pretty similar, over $100 a night, very basic room, free wifi, and free pastery breakfast.
This is the first time I've stayed at a hotel on Harbor Blvd and really been upset by how rude and miserable the hotel staff were. We didn't get any information about the location of anything when we checked in, the desk staff were really rude when we asked questions (which I had to do multiple times since I didn't get any info when I checked in). On my last day, while I was waiting in the lobby for my shuttle, I heard the front desk staff making fun of customers after hanging up the phones.
We had a room towards the very back of the hotel and had problems getting hot water. The first night I let the sink run for at least 5 minutes before washing my face in cold water. Then I called the front desk to let them know and I was told to let the water run at least 5 minutes longer since the weather was cold and our room was at the back of the hotel. I ended up washing my face in the bathtub a couple of times after giving up on waiting for the water in the sink to warm up. I also felt bad for being wasteful. On my second day, the room keys stopped working for no reason and I had to get new ones. The desk staff asked if we added an extra night in the room which made me nervous - I read the paperwork again to make sure there was no screw up.
Also, if you have a car with you, it appears you need to have it valet parked when the hotel is busy due to a very small parking lot (I didn't have to worry about this myself).
I've stayed at other places next to Disneyland, many multiple times. I've tried the Best Western Park Place, the Best Western Anaheim, the Howard Johnson, the Carousel Inn, and the Disneyland Hotel. I would stay at any one of these places again or for a third or fourth time. But not the Desert Inn. Their customer service staff is a sad sad bunch. Too bad! -

We stayed at Desrt Inn & Suits because it was right across the street from disneyland. It was affordable and decent. I didn't like how the pool was indoor and theirs only 1 elevator that needs to be upgraded. It's extremely slow. Oh also! it's self service, no doorman. The cart for your luggages are hellaaaaaaa old- that also needs to be upgraded. Other than that, this is an okkay spot.

I've stayed at the Desert Inn & Suites the last 2 times I've been to Disneyland. It's directly across the Maingate which makes it easy for parents with little ones to go back to the room for naps. If you're bringing a stroller, request to stay on the ground floor around the courtyard. It's at the other end of the parking lot, but you don't have to wait for the elevator.
It's cheaper than staying on the resort. The rooms come with a fridge, microwave, iron, hair dryer and safe. On-site parking is free with your stay. The only thing I don't like is the indoor pool next to the driveway / parking area. People can watch you swim like you're a fish in an aquarium. -

Wow I can't believe this place has such high ratings. Rooms were old and smelly front desk staff was extremely rude and was not much help with directions.
We had two rooms booked. The first night we had a suite so there was only one parking space per room. We were told to park at a lot about five minutes away from the hotel. That was fine for my family but when we got directions and drove to the parking structure the lot was closed! To top it off the attendee at the lot had no idea what or which hotel we were speaking of. We went back to the hotel told them what happened and they kept insisting that we park our second car there for the night. Its like pulling teeth with these guys. Theo the first desk agent or supervisor finally made a call to one of the hotels across the street and asked if we can park there. It was obvious by his tone of voice and demeanor that he did not want to help us at all. I used to work at a hotel and customer service is everything.
The staff here should get voted "A HOLE" of the year for 2010. Eyy! -

This was a great place to stay! We had a vacation planned with my parents and brother to go to Disneyland. They wanted something within walking distance of the park. As with most hotel pictures, they are usually taken when the rooms are brand new and super clean. We were expecting this but was completely blown away with how nice and clean these rooms were. With the close access to the park, I was really expecting just a place to sleep and nothing over the top but the cleanliness of the rooms and prompt housekeeping services was outstanding. We will definitely stay here for our next Disneyland visit!
Two tips:
The pool is located in a room that does not have direct connection to the hotel so you need to go outside to access it. We were planning on using this since my parents live on the East Coast but never had time.
The breakfast buffet is pretty simple and gets packed quickly. We brought cereal and the juice and milk we just what we needed to complete our in room breakfast. -

Decent as decent can be for the price and location. If you came to this hotel for Disneyland for a couple days and just want a decent, clean place to crash, the place is perfect. Stayed her on two separate occasions and never had a problem with noise (always got the top floor).
In short, if you want cheap/clean/close to Disney, stay here.
If you want five-star accomos go elsewhere. -

PROS:
- The staff is reasonably friendly and helpful.
- Room rates are low, even for suites.
CONS:
- Wi-Fi was really weak and dropped out a lot on the 4th floor (was fine in the lobby). Basically, this did not exist.
- Lots of noisy kids in the mornings.
COMMENTS ON AMENITIES:
- Continental breakfast is Red Delicious apples, toast, pastries, and some cereal.
- Parking is not actually free (is included in the room rate).
- The pool is located indoors in a sad, white concrete room.
- Soap/shampoo is available, but smells...odd. I'd bring my own. -

This is where we usually stay when we head down to Anaheim. The price is average. The rooms are a good size. We like the suites for when the grandparents come with us. The sofa bed is in a separate room with it's own TV. The pool is indoors so you can swim in the winter months. The best part is the location. It's right across the street from the Disneyland entrance. You can park your car and leave it until it's time to go home. The Desert Inn and Suites has elevators. For parents of small children this is a plus.

Great location - right across the Disney Land main gates. Footsteps away are family friendly dining options: Denny's, IHOP, Tony Roma's, Captain Kidd's Buffet, McDonald's, Quiznos. We had the room with two Queen size beds and it was very comfortable and clean.
Location: Great (especially when your or your kids' feet are very tired)
Room: Very clean, but noisy (you can hear full conversations when people pass by your door, bring ear plugs). Has shutters over windows and no curtains, so the room never gets very dark...
Room pluses: in-room safe, iron/board, coffee maker, hair dryer, TV on a swivel stand, refrigerator, microwave. Maid service was very good, replaced towels and toiletries daily.
Continental Buffet: just ok (whole apples, fruit pastries, coffee, juice)
Front desk staff did not let us know about the buffet when we checked in, or really anything, just did the minimum to check us in.
Pool: indoor pool undergoing renovation at time of stay, but hotel made arrangements for guests to use motel pool next door. Indoor pool faces parking lot where cars/people have to pass to get to their rooms, seems an odd location for a pool.
Front desk staff: never smiled.
Parking Garage staff: always welcoming, $8 a day for parking; valet only.
Laundry Facilities: two washing machines and four dryers (of which only three worked). Place gets busy on a rainy day. Bring lots of quarters.
Would we stay again? Definitely. The location is wonderful. It's not a luxurious place, it's a motel. But, it has the basics. -

This place is directly across the street from Disneyland's maingate. It's a great thing we stayed here because my immediate family went up and there was a baby and a brother in law that can only handle Disneyland in doses haha. Since we were just there this passed July it was hot (and it still is) and we had to take a break from all the icky-ness of the heat so we walked on over to our room and relaxed and had dinner at the Denny's located next door. They have suites that fit up to 10 people for only 259 a night which is great. By suites what it means is two hotel rooms conjoined and another room with a sofa bed and tv. There was 8 of us so it was perfect. The only complaint I have is you are only allowed one parking which to me is weird because we had 8 people and not everyone is going to go out and rent the big white van and I had to park my vehicle at the Hilton on convention way and valet it for 19 bucks booo to that. The place was clean and that's what is very VERY important.
My parents told me to grab their business card so that means it had to be a good place lol -

If you need a suite and want somewhere cheap and close to the park...then this is the place for you! Not so convenient for those with strollers as the upstairs hallways don't have enough room for people to walk around your stroller or....if the maids have their cleaning carts out you can't get around them with strollers.

We have stayed at a number of hotels along Harbor Dr. This hotel has nicer rooms/beds than most however. If you are on the ground floor you will hear people walking above you. We had a normal, quiet large group above us that kept us up and woke us up from normal walking. The creaking from the ceiling was almost unbareable. My advice would be to ask for a top floor because the rooms are nice and clean and you can't beat the price. $104 with taxes. It's nice to be that close to the park also. I'm also not a fan of their motel style indoor pool.

This is a great place to stay. It isn't anything fancy, but it's clean and It is across the street from the entrance to Disneyland between ihop and Denny's. We stayed in a "Parlor Family Suite" which had 4 queen size beds and a sofa bed in the 3rd room. The suite was roomy enough for 9 people, including a baby. We were able to bring in our port-a-crib and we still had enough room to walk around. Having 2 bathrooms was convenient, especially in the morning when we were all getting ready to go to Disneyland. The housekeeping staff did a great job keeping the room clean. It's weird that they don't have liners in the garbage cans, but they do wash the cans out everyday. I will certainly stay there again.

Clean, large rooms, includes breakfast (very basic breakfast of toast, danishes, oranges, cold non sugar cereal, OJ, milk, coffee.) Can't beat the price & location ( right across the street from Disneyland's Main Gate. Pool is small and indoor, but who has energy to swim after being in the parks all day?!?! Highly recommend for families. We stayed in the 2 bed / 2 bath set up and having the space was awesome with our 3 kids.

This is the second time we've stayed here. Boo on upping the prices because of Veteran's weekend! But all in all it's a really clean place and you can't beat the location, literally 5 minutes to the main entrance to Disneyland. I didn't see any dust (from other reviews) and actually saw the cleaning staff dusting as I needed something from our room while they were still tidying up. Shower made some weird drainage sounds but it was pretty quiet, considering most of this place is filled with families with hyper kids. The beds were fine (brought our own pillows) after 10 hours at the park, a rock would seem comfortabe to sleep on! The on site store is equipped with everything...film (yes I use an old school film camera!) and toothbrushes (my teen forgot to pack hers!) The staff is really nice, let me park in the lot even after check out so we could hang at Disneyland a bit longer before heading home. Free parking, indoor pool/jacuzzi, laundry facility, continental breakfast...danish, fruit, cereal, toast. Would use them again. Wish they were pet friendly since I just found out Disneyland has a kennel!
