This review is for the Anaheim Ballet school and also for the adult program.

Anaheim Ballet develops some amazing ballet dancers. If you want your child to learn proper technique, you should really send them to this school. Even if your child does not want to go professional, you can't beat the level of training for the price at this school. You can purchase your classes in bulk at a discounted rate. If you don't believe me when I say the school turns out some amazing dancers, look up Anaheim Ballet's podcast on Youtube. And yes the dancers are really that good in class as well :)

Now as for myself, I don't take the school's normal ballet classes. I take the adult classes at the school. While I'm only eighteen, I feel just a little too old to take the school's intermediate ballet classes. I danced ballet pretty intensively as a pre-teen. So when it came time for me to come back to ballet after a five year break, I decided to attend Anaheim Ballet's adult program. Their adult "Intro to Ballet" classes rival my intermediate classes back when I was dancing on the preprofessional track. Sara is an amazing instructor, but if you've never danced ballet before or you did as a child and it's been a long time, I really recommend brushing up on ballet basics before taking this class. I feel so bad when I see people come to class and they expect to learn ballet, when really it's more of a class for people who've danced before and need to brush up on their technique.

There's this woman in my class who is an absolutely lovely dancer to watch. She just started ballet late as an adult, first taking private lessons at the school, and then working her way into this "Intro to Ballet" class. It can be done. And if you can't afford privates, there's other ways to learn some basics. I can't stress enough that Sara is a fantastic teacher, it's just the classes can be really challenging for some.

Let me put it this way.

Their Intro to Ballet is more like Beginning Intermediate Ballet

And their Intermediate Ballet is more like Advanced Intermediate/Beginning Advanced Ballet.

Oh and I really feel like the Adult program is a gem. It's hard to find an adult ballet program for serious adult dancers. The Monday and Thursday classes are so small to the point where it's just one to three people in the class. When that's the case, you pay $12 (student rate per single class) and it's like you have a private lesson almost without having to pay $60. I really wish more people knew about this program, which is why I'm writing a review on Yelp.

Check it out. You won't be disappointed.

My nieces come here and I was quite impressed with the skill of their students.  My nieces have become excellent at ballet and jazz dance.  My grandmother, who was a professional dancer in Europe and was trained in ballet, said that this school's instruction was very good.

I just recently learned about Anaheim ballet so I checked it out.  The instructors are excellent.  Aside from ballet, they also offer jazz and tap.  There are classes for all levels and ages.  I recently enrolled my daughters after trying out a couple of their classes.  I am so thankful for learning about this school because my children will grow so much more here.  I am also paying much less than I had been paying elsewhere which is a huge bonus for us!
