Specialties
Modern Arnis is the art within your art, great for those with previous experience, or people who begin as total newbies (like I did) to martial arts. We focus on footwork, balance, breathing, and most importantly, non-violent conflict resolution. In the mean time, we learn techniques to deal with everything from a medieval battlefield to a modern urban violent encounter. And have more fun than you can imagine doing it. Come by and see for yourself.
The greatest gift of all good martial arts is confidence, grace, and finding your inner sense of interest, in other words, unlocking a new hobby, or pursuing an old one. Modern Arnis teaches that all attacks come from 12 angles, whether they're a fist, a sword, or a crowbar, learning to deal confidently with all ranges and threats is part of our study of movement.
History
Established in 2011
After teaching at Karate Quest in Ferndale for the past 3+ years, we decided to start a program more locally.
