I had some time before my ferry left, so I stopped by to check out the Local Dive Shop.
I got to meet Bob, the owner. He gave me a very warm welcome and gave me a complete tour of his very large and well appointed shop.
They have a giant inventory that is well organized and easy to navigate. They carry a tremendous variety of brands, with a good range of prices.
The classroom is modest, but very private. They are an SSI shop and I'd feel comfortable sending a friend there for certification.
They have a large rental supply and a well appointed workshop. They also have numerous opportunities for fun dives, both local and international.
I was able to buy several items here that I've not been able to find at Seattle shops.
I was very impressed by this local shop and recommend stopping by and checking it out.

Meet the Manager: Kelley S.
Kelley started diving here in the Pacifi Northwest in 1984. Originally from Bellingham, she started working and diving in dive stores around the area, then spent time working in the St Thomas. From there she working on Princess cruises as the New waves Manager. She returned from the caribbean and with her husband purchased Anacortes Diving in 1996. She is a distinguished Underwater photographer and has taken pictures around the world. Always looking for the next great site or trip keeps Kelley busy with dive travel.
