Four of us were staying at the Sofitel Hotel just south of MIA of 57th Ave to be ready to an early AM international flight.  Rather than eating at the hotel, we searched (on Yelp) for an alternative.  The Anacapri Italian Restaurant was a perfect choice. Really nice hearty Italian food, warm atmosphere and an outstanding wine wall.  Service was great and prices reasonable for the  quality food.  The kitchen will mix and match if requested pasta and sauces to meat, fish or veggies.  The restaurant is located on the west side of Publix shopping center at the corner of 57th and 7th Street. It's a little hard to see in this busy plaza.

One of the best places you can eat Italian close to the airport. When our office first started up, we had a crew of our Japanese team order the same thing.... everyday.  They would yell out "Bohn-go-rey...Bohn-go-rey" which would be understood as Linguine alla Vongole (linguine with clams.)

Super attentive staff, which have been there for as long as we have been going (I have seen one server through 2 of her pregnancies....it's the Miami water.)

I would recommend anything on the menu. Gnocchi=amazing, veal picatta was lemony and delicious, lasagna= meal for 3 days, eggplant parm=just great.... and the salmon florentine is always super fresh.

Don't pass up the bread, you don't know what you're missing.

Although I work close by, I had never stopped in at this restaurant until yesterday when I met with a consultant of ours for lunch. What a nice little place! However, very crowded; if going at lunch time, make sure to get there before 12:10PM or prepare to wait to be seated.

We enjoyed the Penne Anacapri which was delicious and the Tomato and Mozarella w/ prosciutto to start. Our entree came with a salad as well, which was very good. You should probably plan to split the plate given the very large portions or, if all else fails, you can do as I did and take it to go for dinner. Whether it's heated up or live and in the moment, the food is great :) and the prices very reasonable. I will defintiely stop in here again sometime soon.

Pretty solid Italian. The dishes are really big, and it is better to eat family style and split multiple plates with your party.

The sauteed calamari is really solid (note: lots of garlic). The mozzarella/tomato/prosciutto salad is also delicious, and perfect for 3 people. I am not usually a fan of eggplant parmesan (its the texture), but it is really solid here

I wish more of their pastas would have meat in them, and less pasta, but overall, a solid option for food in this much-lacking area

Complete gem...hidden in a shopping center!! My new husband and I stopped here after our flight into Miami for a quick dinner. We had no idea how amazing this food was going to be.
The service was beyond attentive and the food was so good that we both stuffed ourselves beyond capacity.
We started with the Zuppa di Vongole: Clams with roasted garlic, herbs, and white wine. I cannot say enough how much we loved that broth!
I had the Rigatoni Anacapri with prosciutto, onions, and famous pink creamy sauce...phenomenal!
My husband had the Pollo alla Parmigiana Breaded chicken breast with San Marzano tomatoes and melted mozzarella (chicken parm) which was really good as well.
From my past experiences, some of the very best family restaurants are in deceiving strip malls...this one fits that bill.
If I ever fly into Miami and have to stay near the airport again I will return to this restaurant for sure!

Food was decent, salty though! My server (or one of the two women) was not pleasant. She appeared to have much better things to do. she rushed away from my table after each water refill, cheese topping, plate drop...so fast that I never saw her face. She was half way gone by the time I looked up to thank her. I'm guessing she was just in a rush to get out of work...and rush any customer out as well.

My second time to Anacapri, this time at the location on 57th.  The first time was in Pinecrest.  I didn't see much difference in ambiance, menu, service or food quality.  The first time I had the Clam and Mussel Soup.  It was very good.  This time I had the Rigatoni with meat sauce and sausage.  The rigatoni and meat sauce were very good, but the sausage was overcooked and dry.

The wine list is extensive and the wines that I had are good.  I don't recall the list in Pinecrest offering by-the-glass.  The 57th Street location is bottle only.

This place is convenient to the hotels in the area, located in a Publix shopping center and a bit hard to find.

Prices are reasonable, but a little high for pasta.  I had water and my bill was $24.  That included no salad or soup.  The fresh dinner rolls were very good.

I come here often as they are close to my work. Have always had a great meal and the staff is always personable. The chicken francaise, parmesan, their pasta and risotto are always great and A+ in my book and always consistent. Would highly recommend to anyone who's near the area or staying at a hotel by the airport. Very close to that area and if you're in the mood for a nice restaurant and good food along with that "home style" feeling, don't pass this place up. You will have a great meal, whatever you get. Guaranteed!

Okay, I'll admit, I've been having way too many linguine alla vonglone or linguine with clams in white sauce. This place was no exception. What can I say? Once I was hooked, I'm forever hooked! And so whenever I step into an Italian restaurant, it's what I crave for!

Okay, I promise I'll also try other dishes too.

Anyways, Anacapri beats Olive Garden and many other well known national Italian chain. This is a definitely locally bred Miami favorite Italian restaurant chain with also a well known Italian market in Pinecrest. It has consistently been ranked as one of the favorites in the area. While I'm not saying that this is a for sure bet to get the best Italian food you've ever had (since I hardly believe any chain restaurant would be able to meet that daunting goal), this is definitely a place where you can bet on consistently well-made Italian food for a reasonable price (my linguine alla vongole was $14 - prices are listed in the website).

Anacapri is good for a formal date, a family gathering, or a simple casual dinner.

Probably the best restaurant in this neighborhood.  Easy parking and there is never a wait.  You can go much more casual than their sister restaurnt in the Gables.

Ask the chef if he can make you the chicken mafia.  pretty darn great.  If not, they have a pasta filled with pear...yes, pear, that is ridiculously good.  Try not to eat it all in one sitting because it tastes better the next day.

It's a bit on the pricey side, but the food quality is there. waitresses are always attentive.

It doesn't look like much from the outside because it's in a shopping center but, the food was wonderful and the service was great.

Food was amazing. Service was TERRIBLE.

We came on  Friday night and found the place busy, but nothing too crazy for it being a weekend.  The place is small, so there aren't too many tables for the staff to work.  Still, they were slow.  VERY SLOW.  The hostess seemed annoyed at having to deal with us.  We thought it might just be our bigger group (10 people), but even a table of two had long waits with no one checking in on them.

Unless you have LOTS of time and don't mind an empty water glass (and bread basket), then try someplace else.

The venue is really easy to miss, hidden in a corner of a strip mall where Home Depot Expo formally had its store. I recently took a job in the area and there is not much of a selection like working Downtown, Gables or the Grove would offer. Therefore, this is in my top five in the area and my favorite Italian place near work.
The staff is very attentive and the small setting is dim and cozy. The ambiance is reminiscent to that of being in the home of family and friends together with good Italian cooking. Dress code is casual or work attire. You'll find a lot of local executives hold meetings here but others in jeans and sandals also come to enjoy the fine Italian cuisine.
The breaded and baked egg plant parmigiana topped with melted mozzarella served with San Marzano tomato sauce is my favorite dish on the menu and it's large enough to share. We also tried the calamari and gnocchi Michelangelo Prosciutto with onions and peas in a white cream sauce that left us craving more. I've visited many times and never been disappointed.
Did I mention the servings are large? Doggie bags come in handy here.

I've been struggling for quite some time to find a good italian restaurant, nothing fancy, just good italian food. Then someone told me about this place, that is actually called Bella Capri by Anacapri, and I took some clients for lunch. The place was quite busy, but it was a short wait, 5 minutes tops. The waiting staff is really corteous. That day I had the Veal Picatta, it was delicious. I've returned a couple of times, and tried the gnocchi, pretty amazing too. So next time you're craving some italian food, don't waste your time at the Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill, go for the good stuff and give this place a shot.

Fabulous ! Don't let the strip mall location throw you. We had house Pinot, eggplant parmagiano, rigatoni anacapri & spinach salad. Huge portions-- prepare to share. Good service. Super yummy... Will be back for sure! Great location also near airport if you're coming or going.
