Cutest young (23 yo) hostess in 30 wineries we visited. Very pleasantly surprised when she started to present information about each wine and discussing the tasting notes. Whoa! this young lady knows her wines.
Good line up of whites and reds. You can find something you like here at a cost you can enjoy as well.
It really was all about the ports for us. Aero Port white and red. OUTSTANDING.
Stop here. It is small and comfortable. -

Anaba might just be my new favorite small winery in Sonoma.
It's a cute little building with a cute little tasting room. It almost feels like you are walking into someone's living room/kitchen.
Our sommelier was adorable. She was this young valley girl who I kept expecting to say, "gag me with a spoon" but I was shocked when she started talking about the wines and the wine making process. She REALLY knows her stuff and was really fun and engaging.
We came to Anaba from Buena Vista and I was really pleasantly surprised by Anaba's wine. They aren't overpowering in flavor but all have a nice taste that pairs well with food or can be drunk alone.
$10 fee for 5 tastings. Good sized pours and when you get the tasting fee removed when you buy a bottle.
The parking is a bit of a bear. It would be nice if they some how expand the parking lot.
I'm on the fence with 5 stars, I liked it that much, but I want to visit it again one more time just to be sure.
Support the little guys! Visit Anaba!Listed in: You Lika The Wine?

After a long day in Sonoma- Napa, it was a good finishing touch to our trip. A small, quite, and, of course, friendly staffed winery.
Location: For me, the location is alright. It's very hard to get on a parking lot. I would suggest them to make a parking lot more car friendly.
Space: Yes, space is tiny. But it's good enough to rest after a good day in Sonoma-Napa. Only one table - I wold suggest them to put a woodem long table and couple more chairs. The fireplace - the main reson I didn't want to leave. A good glass of wine and sitting right next to a working fireplace (when it's chilly outside) - I would call it a heaven.
Wine: Only one wine to describe their wine - "good". I even bought the bottle of wine.
I do recommend to come to this winery before you hit the road back home. -

In Sonoma with 5 girlfriends for my birthday, we walked in to Anaba at 5:16 on a Saturday since their sign says they close at 5:30.There was another small group at the bar and as we approached the bartender refused to serve us since they "had their last pour at 5:15." I pointed out that it was only 1 minute ago and she still refused. She was rude and completely inappropriate. She didn't even offer us an apology. We were all extremely unimpressed with the horrible service. We will not be returning.

If you have a Visa Signature card, avoid! Not only do you get to taste to offensive wines, those wines are all you get! Not worth it at all! Save your infetessimal tasting reviews for another place.

Still pretty new, but we were glad they came up. The server was really sweet and the wine was pretty good. It wasn't our specific cup of tea, but we did take home a bottle.
The cool thing is that they are partially wind-powered (I want to say 30% but am too lazy to look). Environmentally friendly wine-making? Yes please! That alone will bring us back again from time to time when we're up in Sonoma. -

Cute tasting room, although small. Nice pours. Friendly service. Very pretty patio. I just really don't like the wine. Sour is the flavor that come to mind. They're new so maybe improvements are on the way.
Others in our group bought a few bottles so maybe it just wasn't for me. -

I love Anaba's Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir. Since they have pinot noir from different vineyards, it offers a great opportunity to compare soil types and growing conditions has on taste from the same varietal of grape.
This is the first time I received a discount coupon on 2 bottles from Yelp after using the check-in feature. -

The wines were not very good and coupled with bad service it can be skipped. It was a weekend with about 10 people but the server was more interested in one group and not us. The place is easy too miss and I would recommend missing it.

We went wine tasting today at several wineries, and Anaba was *by far* the best stop. It set the bar very high for the rest of our stops. Although it was a much smaller winery, it thoroughly made up in taste. For $10 to try 5 wines, none of the other free wine tastings came even close. Angela conformed to the needs of our group, was knowledgeable, and not to mention--gorgeous. We'll definitely be starting our next wine adventure there again.

Anaba is casual, low-key and non-pretentious.
After a FULL day of tastings we visited Anaba and it was just what we were looking for. We loved the informal and relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the lovely patio facing the hills! (We had no idea we were near a highway but for reading the other reviews after the fact).
Our server was friendly and the owner spent a little time at our table. Very cool!
After visiting all the fancy big name places -- I have to say, I really enjoy the smaller independent vineyards.
Shout Out to Beau Tours, who brought us to Anaba as it was not even on our radar.
How can I resist? . . . ."Carrie Ann Anaba - 9!" -

Nice people and lovely location, it's just that so many better wines are found close to their tasting room.
Location gets 3 stars -- it's nice
People earn 4 stars -- they are very nice
Wines rate only one star. Maybe they are just not my style. -

4 1/2 stars for tasting room.
3 1/2 stars for the wine.
For a Napa Valley low production vineyard these guys are ok. You get what you pay for and maybe a little bit more. I wouldn't go as far as categorizing them anywhere near some of the big boys but the tastings are cheap as so are the wines they sell. I would consider myself having a pretty good notion of what is good and though I have many favorites.. I would come back and learn even more about them. Maybe I could actually afford to take a bottle home as well. What they might be more famous for is the Rose and those take a special learning about. Ill be back. -

Favorite new winery! My wife and I found Anaba during a Sonoma getaway a few weeks back, not realizing we'd driven right past it many times in our wine country travels. The wines are all excellent without a miss in the lineup. We had vowed that weekend we would only join a wine club at a place where we liked everything we tasted, and until we got to Anaba we hadn't found better than about a 50% hit rate from any lineup that weekend. We loved everything we tasted at Anaba, which ended up being all nine wines they were currently offering. The winemaker is creating some truly interesting blends - the Coriol White and Sonoma Valley Red are not to be missed. I'm also in love with the Chardonnay and J Mck Pinot but, honestly, they're all winners. Retail prices run between $20 and $32 on every bottle so it's all pretty accessible.
Our host was very friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the wine. We met the owner, too, who was working a table on the outside patio. Definitely an intimate place.
Lastly, Anaba is just a nice contrast if you've been tasting at the big wineries all day. There's something great about the small, independent winery; one that measures its annual case volume in the thousands instead of hundreds of thousands, that has fewer than ten wines they make and make very well, and where you meet half the staff in one visit. Anaba is such a winery and one that I heartily recommended. -

Don't be fooled by the small size of this tasting room; this boutique winery produces some excellent wine.
We decided to stop by here upon reading some good reviews. The tasting room consists of a small bar and a few tables, and there is plenty of outdoor seating.
The wine list consisted of 10 wines, and a tasting of 5 wines cost $10, which could be applied to the purchase of 1 bottle. We enjoyed each selection and were comped a tasting of dessert wine. Their wines all have very nice flavor and complexity.
The staff was very friendly and attentive. We shared the tasting room with a drunk couple who arrived on bicycles- a guy who plopped himself in the middle of the small bar and who loved to hear himself talk, while his companion fondled all the communal breadsticks; as well as a couple who was very chatty, and it turned out to be a front when they proceeded to push MonaVie.
We will definitely be back to try the rest of the wines on the list. This is a must-see if you are passing through Sonoma. -
Review from Molly P.
Great place! Impressive wines, knowledgeable and friendly employees in the tasting room, and a cool wind theme in the names of the wines and in the goal of the winery to become fully wind-powered. $10 for a tasting of 5 or 6 wines, and the fee is waived if you buy a bottle. Try the port chocolate sauce while you're there!

Review from Kristy M.
Two stars for the ambiance and quaint little tasting room. Zero stars for their wine. This place is great if you're looking for a cozy outdoor setting (minus the traffic noise being that the tasting room is on the corner of Hwy's 116 and 121) and don't care too much about the wine....otherwise skip it. Trust me. I've been drinking wine long enough to know quality wine and this place just doesn't do it for me. Nothing I tasted was even remotely worth finishing. There's just an overall lack of quality and flavor.
Not worth the time or money unfortunately. -

I visited Anaba for the first time recently during the Holiday in Carneros event: http://tinyurl.com/yku...
For those of you that think Social Media doesn't draw traffic, think again. I didn't really know Anaba, and it wasn't on my initial list. However that morning, I Tweeted about the wineries where I WAS planning to stop, and got a note back from Anaba with a sad face and "No Anaba?" As a result of Anaba noticing, and replying to my tweet, I began to read up on it. Learning that Anaba was a "new winery" with"Rhone and Burgundian style wines," I appended my itinerary. I was glad I did. The facility is comfortable and non-pretentious. Everyone was friendly. And GREAT Rhone whites.
Side note for you red wine only drinkers -I was one of you once -- branch out! Especially try some of the more full-bodied Rhone whites like Viognier, Roussanne, and Marsanne. I observed a lot of people skipping the whites, and remembered doing the same thing myself once, but I was glad I didn't skip these. 'Coriol' is a blend of the above 3, plus Grenache Blanc, with a wonderful, floral nose, and a good mouthfeel. Their Viognier was even better, and I bought a bottle. I also enjoyed their Sonoma Coast Pinot, and Coriol red, a Rhone blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah, Counoise, and Petire Sirah. (The latter being an 'adopted' Rhone varietal.) If you like desert wines, Anaba also makes a late harvest Viognier, and red and white ports.
The tasting room staff was young, but very attentive and knowledgeable. I'd have liked to learn a bit more about the genesis of the winery, and the owners/family were supposedly lurking in the back. They should take a lesson from the Ceja's and work the visitors; stories sell wine!Listed in: Carneros (Sonoma County)…

just off the big intersection of 116 and 121, this place was picked completely at random because we were turned away at a couple of vineyards we tried to visit prior. we were either too late or there was a private event! :( one vineyard that shall remain nameless actually turned us away at 4:28pm when they closed at 4:30pm! WOW! how's THAT for a little Sonoma County hospitality!?
i don't know the places up in sonoma as well as napa so i was kinda shooting in the dark. i didn't expect much from Anaba because of it's proximity to the busy intersection however i was impressed. they had an nice little outdoor patio that faced the hills. when sitting there you had no idea the roads and traffic weren't too far away. they had indoor seating as well in case the sun was too hot. the outdoor seating and wines were great. free almonds and chocolate wasn't a bad touch either. i bought the rose for variety but i liked the oaky chardonney and the bigger reds as well. -

Four Stars for Tasting Room
Three Stars for Wines
Brittany did a great job describing the wines and serving our tasting. Very friendly and sociable, yet not intrusive. Unfortunately, we couldn't sit outside b/c of the wind & there's no where to sit inside. Be sure you use the 2 for 1 Yelp coupon! Tastings are $10 each (before coupon) and it's comped with a bottle purchase
They have some interesting Rhone varietals, including a nice Viognier. I really wanted to like the wines, but they're just quite there yet. Limited complexity, not many tasting notes. I'll check back in a vintage or two.Listed in: Trip 2 to Napa & Sonoma -…

I'm no wine expert, but this is my favorite new winery. I went on a wine tour last weekend and fell in love with their Coriol White Rhone-Style Blend and their Pinot Noir. It is a very small vineyard, and the staff is extremely friendly.

Bambi & I had a pleasant, leisurely, low key visit.
Young lady pouring the tastes was engaging, happy with her job.
I like Anaba wines. We tried them all. The Coriol blends are tasty and a little more distinctive than other white wine blends made by other Carneros region wineries. The Anaba Pinot Noir is soft, fruity and quaffable.
I bought 2 bottles and will return for more. -

Delicious Burgundy and Rhone styled wines all sourced in Sonoma County. Their dessert wines are also off the hook.

I think their grounds and tasting room are nice, but the service and wines left much to be desired. We did find one wine to buy, so we had one good wine, but the other ones were not very good.

Located at the busy corner of Highways 116 and 121 is the new Anaba tasting room. The outside of this place is cute. The patio seating is also nice but obviously very loud because of all the street traffic. That's not so nice. More importantly, there is a group of very attractive young ladies running this joint so that's a plus if you're a dude (or a girl if that's your thing). The wines are tasty. The 90+ point Chardonnay is worth stopping in for just on it's own. The tasting room, however, is BARE. Like totally naked! With the exception of a few shirts on one of the walls, there's nothing. No art, no chachskis, no NOTHING. So it's not really "warm" or "inviting" per se. But when wine tasting, the wines should be what matters, right? This place has good wine - and good service, too; very friendly, knowledgeable people. Especially, Kat and Stephanie.

Review from Gil S.
A pleasant lowkey Carneros tasting room, makes its production in the 8th Street industrial park then carts it out here to a little house on a busy intersection for some tasting. Nothing about the wines excited me especially but I did like the location and informality. If you're planning a trip from the East Coast I wouldn't spend all month planning to come here, but if you're in the neighborhood and it's open it's worth a stop-by.

This was the first stop of my Sonoma tour, so as usual my recollection here is the strongest. The tasting room is small but the layout makes it feel a lot bigger, and I mean this in a good way. I liked the modern choice in music and the staff were polite and young which made me feel comfortable chatting about the wines. They finish of the tasting with their chocolate sauce which was amazing! I ended up taking home a bottle of the viognier.

Anaba has a great tasting room with a fantastic staff. To me, a tasty and good selection of wines is expected in wine country, and Anaba did deliver on that as well; however, after a bad experience "up the road" *cough - Schug - cough* I felt it quite appropriate to personally thank (i.e. Yelp) Gretchen and Shelley for taking care of our group Saturday late-afternoon. They deserve all the kudos in the world for their welcoming and fun nature. We head north from the peninsula to Sonoma about 4x/year; your wine and your staff ensured a return trip from us this winter! :-)

Some of the best wines I've tasted in Sonoma (if you're not ordinarily a fan of whites, Anaba just may change your mind), fabulous company, wonderful all around.

This place would rock if it didn't have that stupid sign in front of it. "Napa or Sonoma? Choose Sonoma." So ridiculously absurd and immature. I've lived in Sonoma for 32 years now and have never been so embarrassed by a business in this community.

What a GREAT find and a surprise. I went there over July 4th weekend with two friends wanting to try new wineries in the carnaros area (an area I typically pass blindly going to Napa). We pulled off and thought we'd give it a shot. We were the only ones in the tasting room but it was early in the day as well. Out Pour-er (so bad that I forgot her name) was amazing, gave us the run down on the vineyard, small production moving to wind power, etc... then we tried both their reserve and standard wines. I wasn't expecting much but this wine was some of the best we tried all weekend and was at a great price point. I highly recommend their reserve tasting. I brought some home with me and can't wait to open it up. I'll be back for sure.

Anaba is a one year old boutique winery in Sonoma that specializes in Rhone style wines. They make a Viognier, Chardonnay (more fruity less oakey -buttery) a white burgundy style called the Coriol White. They make two reds a Pinot Noir and their red burgundy style the Coriol Red. They make a small production of desert wines and ports. The late harvest and a red and a rare white port. All the wines have considerable depth and flavor. They're a nice alternative to your typical California style wines. The tasting room is small but, very comfortable. They have set up cocktail style tables with bar stools to sit down if the tasting bar is full. On a nice day you can sit outside on their patio looking out on to the vineyard. Staff are always attentive and create a fun and unpretentious wine tasting experience. If you love their wine I would join their club. The wines are less than $30 bucks and with the club discount its even cheaper. Tasting is $10 bucks but, they wave the fee if you buy a bottle. Totally worth a visit when you are in Sonoma.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA
This small winery has great ambiance. The tasting experience was relaxed and quiet. I thought the wines were quite good for such a new winery and the experience was much more enjoyable than the large wineries in the Sonoma area. There were only two of us in the tasting room so we were really able to discuss the different wines as we progressed through the tasting. I believe the owners and possibly the wine maker were in the back room. It would have been nice if they had come out and introduced themselves. This winery definitely has potential.
