I really do think that this is possibly THE BEST place to go for high tea in the Sacramento area, day I say in all of California. TO BAD ITS CLOSED. AHHHH Me and my Mom and my little sister got one of the alst reservations at this place before it closed. AND NO, it was not due to the recession but to the fact that the owner just couldn't find any buyers.
I still can't believe how sad it is.... -

Tasty treats in an adorable tea cafe with a great selection of teas! The menu of sandwiches, scones & desserts is just what you'd expect to find at any great tea place, but in Newcastle? This place is a special find & worth going out of your way to visit.
The tea shop is not to be missed. For anyone who loves tea, you can find the perfect gift. The little colored individual sugars are so beautiful & if you want a traditional tea cozy, this is the place to find it.
The staff is very friendly & I'll be back again & again.Listed in: Top Restaurants

High Tea Service is an experience to indulge in. The full tea service is the way to go. With it you get their famous black forrest ham quiche. It is well worth the drive to go to. Please note you will need to make reservations for seatings most of the time. I called ahead and she was able to fit us in since we didn't have reservations and were rushing around last minute.
The staff was very friendly and courtious.
