Went bck to Amy's for breakfast 3X in one week last trip. The shrimp benedict was awesome - perfect eggs - perfect hollandaise. Everyone loved their meals. The omelette sandwiches were deemed scrumptious by the rest of our crew. As always, the service is friendly with a smile! A must try - the cinnamon rolls - one feeds 4 easy and they are so good. Be sure to order before the run out - they make a limited amount daily.

Great spot to have breakfast or lunch while in Sanibel...there is something for everyone...prices are about average for an island setting but the staff and food quality is consistent. Whether you want traditional breakfast, eggs benedict or omelettes, there is something for everyone. If you sit in the patio, avoid the table next to the huge fan unless you can eat your food before it becomes cold...great shopping next door if you have to wait but the real story here is consistency all the way.
A solid breakfast place, probably the best one on Sanibel Island. There is often a wait for tables, but they usually have free coffee, and it is located in a small strip with some shops you can browse while waiting. The food is good, the servers are quite friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere is nice, as well.
Solid breakfast place in Sanibel - my fave because of the decor and openness - we are always with a large group here and relish the space. Most other places are cramped and the wait ridiculous - it is never that bad waiting here!! Mimosa is good and big - they have the perfect ratio of OJ to bubbly! I had the french toast w/eggs platter - sourdough toast on the side - delish. Nothing too fancy here but simple is good since it's hard to find reasonable and tasty fare on the island. One in our group had the "reuben" eggs benedict and wasn't thrilled - it may be a little too ambitious a dish . . . I have also heard that the corned beef hash at Lighthouse Cafe is better. Love those coffee mugs though!
This is a delightful family style cafe. It has a pleasant ambiance & atmosphere, unlike so many of the cookie-cutter joints in southwest Florida. The Rueben wrap w/ slaw was about average, but the "Benny" (eggs Benedict) w/ grits was great. The waiter was excellent. To be completely honest, the actual food here is probably 3 stars, but the waiter, coloring book for kids, location and over-all feel bring it up to 4 stars and make it a place worth a return visit.
Now know just as the "over easy cafe" It still serves great food with indoor/outdoor seating, It's located on a strip mall, and has great customer service
Best breakfast in Sanibel and Captiva area!!!!! Too bad we found it on our last day, but we will NEVER forget and will be going here on our next visit for sure! Food was awesome, it was fresh and tasty! The service was good and FAST, never have received my food that fast before! Great for kids, nice multi page coloring book and kids don't have to wait long at all to eat! Enjoyed my experience VERY much! Can't wait to go back!
Cute, quaint, reasonably priced and yummy! What more can you ask for? My son was especially enamored with the hen/rooster motif throughout (what is breakfast without a toddler squawking "cock-a-doodle-doo" at top volume?) and the complimentary Sanibel coloring book and crayons. The stuffed french toast isn't really "stuffed", but tasty just the same. All of the benedicts (they had several varieties - we sampled the Southern benedict with sausage gravy) come with olive eyes, and the coffee is top notch. Recommended!
