The donuts are very good and reasonable priced!
I always, always order the FRENCH DONUT (Crueler).
The staffs are friendly and the place looks decent.
Their donut holes are 12 for a $1.00 which is a pretty good deal compare to other mom and pops donut shops.
If you want a dozen assorted donuts, it cost about $7 to $8!
It depends which donuts you get.

Donut shops in SF have spoiled me, but Amy's is a good East Bay alternative for that occasional (or frequent, for some of you) morning coffee + donut craving.

My mom owns the place, but I'm hardly there.
Honestly it's pretty decent. Good price for the food :)
    (Though, I don't have to pay :P)

In all the years of my family owning this place,
I still have no idea who Amy is. Until I meet her or seen a picture
of her, she will just be a figment of my imagination.

We have a wide verity of donuts (the usual kinds)
although I've always wanted try to mix things up a bit.
like..strawberry donut..or velvet cake donut. Haha
    but woe is me.
Sticking to the stable ones is safe.

The sandwiches are basically cold cut deli style.
I'm a fan of the soft roll or and anything on a croissant. :)

They have salad, macaroni salad, potato salad, and
    soup of the day.

I LOVE the ham and cheese croissant, and
me thinks you have to try one. If it's cold, pop it in the
    microwave and it's YUM :)

I'll probably update with more info later :)

Krispy Kreme is pretty close by, but it seems to be a tad bit too sweet for me nowadays, so i prefer Amy's. Cheaper and bigger than that other shop. For the sweets, I normally just go with either the glaze, creme filled, or just donut holes here. Its simple, and taste good.

But the real gem about this donut shop is their sandwiches. They have good tasting sandwiches, and they're all around the $4 range. There's a couple different sandwiches i order normally, either the turkey, roast beef, or pastrami. For bread, depending on my mood, i'll go with wheat, french roll or croisant. They have a decent amount of variety of meats, breads, and cheese. But they all come standard with the meat, cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, mustard and bread. On the side, u can ask for pepperoncini, and you can ask them to toast it also.

I probably only come in for their donuts once every 2 months, but u can catch me here for their sandwiches bi-weekly. It's thats good!!

Yummy donuts and awesome service! Yelp said they close at 7pm on Sundays but the actually close at 3pm. I arrived there close to 3:30pm and they still served me! I came here because they sell the kind of donuts I prefer - bready on the bottom and glazed on top. She even gave me a free one so I told her to keep the change, but she insisted that I take my change because the donut was on the house. So sweet!

I have to run an extra few miles a week due to this place being so close to my station.  Im not sure what addictive substance they put in their donut holes, but it has to be the equivalent to meth.  NOT EVERY DONUT HOLE IS THE SAME.

All the other assorted baked goods are pretty good.  Very worth it.

Sometimes I'll stop by and pick up a dozen donuts to take to the office and make people happy :P

They've always been very nice, and their donuts are always fresh and really really good.

One day I was craving a sugar donut from here and made the mistake of going over to Safeway on my break time (I work no where near Amy's but it's on my way to work) to try to satisfy the craving for Amy's sugar donut, but there's no comparing.

The next morning I had to stop at Amy's on my way to work to fix that cravin'!

P.S. By the way CASH only.  At least it was Cash only last time I went.  (I had to go to the quick stop next door and take $ out).

The wife and I have been passing by Amy's for years. She always wanted to stop here for Breakfast because they advertise Donuts and Sandwiches. So this past weekend we decided to stop by and get breakfast here.

Amy's is like every other independent donut house out there. Not much to look and just a large display case of donuts. We were hoping to get a breakfast sandwich here thinking that they might offer a breakfast sandwich... wrong, only donuts and the only sandwiches they offer here are for lunch time (you would almost think having an egg croissant sandwich would be natural here). So we kind of stalled at the start and looked over their selection of donuts.

I have to say, I was impressed, the donuts here are pretty big. Prices here are reasonable and they have a pretty good selection of donuts. I didn't know what to get, so I ended up getting the one in front of me which was an extra large cinnamon twist like donut. The wife got a regular donut with cinnamon bits on it. We ended up paying like $2 and off we went.

The donuts were decent. Nothing special but not too bad either. Mine was light and fluffy and had good taste, the wife's was your more traditional type of donut and was like a cake. Both were definitely fresh and there is value here.

Overall, I would say 3 stars. I guess I'm still a bit disappointed they didn't offer a breakfast sandwich, but if i'm in the area driving to work, I would stop by and get a donut again.

This place should just be called Amy's Sandwiches because the donuts are nothing but eye candy. Seriously.

And they're also old, this I assume since all the donuts were cracked and hard. I still ate the one I got though because I'm a fatty.

Other than that, I don't see anything too special about the sandwiches as they were reminiscent of any cold cut sandwich you can put together, but it's good to know that when I'm lazy and I don't want a sub that I can come here and cop a sandwich.

    Cash only!

I've had better. Their donuts are okay-ish, and 15 minutes till closing, they were putting up new racks of freshly made donuts to the front. So either somebody called in for a HUGE order of glazed donuts, or their stuff ain't fresh.

Great sandwhichs at great prices - I think its like around $3 for a sandwhich which is a great deal.  I work near here so eat there at least 1-2 times a week.  I usually get the pastrami, salami or corned beef on a soft roll.  The only thing is the bread isn't the greatest - i've tried pretty much all of them and the soft roll is I think the best of the bunch.  If they had better bread I think that up them to a 4 star - maybe. The egg salad is not that great neither are their macaroni salads.  Oh - but the ham and cheese croisannt hits the spot.

Another bonus is the drycleaner next door is pretty good so kill 2 birds!

I think Amy's has the best donuts around. They're all pretty big & the old fashioned (chocolate & vanilla) have heaps of choco & vanilla on them. The ham & cheese croissants are delicious.

They make a pretty decent & cheap sandwich. They're under $4.50 with cheese.. and they're a good size. As a previous reviewer mentioned the bread isn't always the best --- it depends on when the bread delivery is. They will use bread that's not as fresh as it should be from time to time. I get around that by telling the ladies behind the counter to make sure I get fresh bread!
I work close by so I'm in there a few times a week. Donuts make my boss happy & Amy's is her fav!

This is a no-frills local donut shop with very tasty donuts for a reasonable price. The texture of the donut I got (a maple-covered buttermilk bar) was perfect and cake-like, not chewy (like Krispy Kreme's original donuts).

The joint seems fairly popular with the locals --- when I came, there was a continuous stream of customers coming in to order take-out food.

One day, I had a massive craving for donuts at night. Of course, all the shops would be close except for one: Amy's. Surprisingly, they close at 9pm! I ordered the glazed. It just came from the oven and it was purely delicious! Better than Krispy Kreme's! I also ordered a vanilla covered cruler and a sugar donut. Also very decadent. I'm addicted. Next time, I need to try the sandwiches--all the food they sell is so cheap!

Maybe im biased to this place because its been around forever. But this for sure has great tasting donuts. The ladies who work/own the place have been there since i was in middle school. Every morning before school back then, a bunch of us kids would come here before getting on the bus to school

Nowadays its no different. If im right, the prices on the donuts has only jumped 5 cents in about 10 years. And thats great. Lately when i come here, i always grab a cinnamon twist for 75 cents and a milk chug and just hang out playing chess with whoever i go with.

They also have their sandwiches that i used to get when i worked as a delivery guy. 3 bucks is all they charge for the sanwiches. Like the rest f the food they have herem thats a deal. But again, maybe im just biased to my local donut shop.

I live right around the corner from this place and it's nice to walk over there for a sweet treat or some lunch. [Yes, Lunch] - This donut shop makes yummy sandwiches too! =) They also serve hot dogs and a few other basic lunch foods, all good.

*The only downside to this place is they do not accept credit cards, cash only so be prepared!

The environment is nothing special, just your average little donut shop.

It's usually the same 2 or 3 employees there everyday and they're very nice. =) They always give us free donuts.

The sandwiches are $3.99 and totally worth it. =) Decent price and good quality, defiantly better then the manufactured taste of Subway.

Decent variety of donuts and usually pretty fresh.

Great place to grab some lunch, breakfast or a snack.

Amy's Donuts is just in my neighborhood and I always love getting their sandwiches. You get great quality stuff. (better than subway for sure) and it's only 3.99 for a fat sandwich. Their donuts are good but I never really get them. Everyone there is soo nice to me and they always spark up a conversation. It's a nice place to go for lunch, or whenever, since they open at 4am on weekdays and close at 9pm. Love it.

This little hole in the wall in a run down strip mall, makes one of the best buttermilk maple bars in the world. I'm a cop so I should know what a good donut tastes like... Plus as an added bonus, this shop also makes a killer sandwich for less than three dollars. The sandwiches are as good or better than the major sandwich chains and a lot cheaper. This shop is a local favorite place.

Nice little neighborhood place.  Make donuts the way they are supposed to be made.  Big fat yeasty glazed (not like the ones at Krispy Kreame). Their cinnamon rolls are the bomb. I will have to try a sandwich too, based on other reviews.  Nice owners and employees.

    grew up at amy's donuts.

their donuts are the best ever. it's the way how a donut is supposed to be made. finish a whole donut and you're ready to knocc out. that's how good it is. you'll keep eating it and eating it until you finish it and it's soo much that'll make you sleepy. crossiants are great in the morning.. ham and cheese is the best and donut holes are always on point. my favorite thing they serve is the sandwiches though. poor boy sandwich all day everyday.

    my favorite cambodian donut shop.
