Amy's makeup technique is flawless! I'm quite picky when it comes to my makeup, and often times I don't like it when someone else does it for me. Amy not only tells you what she's doing while she's doing it, but also gives you many options before applying things to your face.
Her products are professional and versatile. She had a variety of colors, powders, foundations, lipsticks, brushes, and tools to make your make up session custom made just for you. Her application is very gentle. Like many others have said, she's very easy to work with. I hardly feel at ease when someone has a pencil in my eye but with Amy, I was completely comfortable the entire time.
After 20 minutes, I looked like a completely different person. I had no idea my skin could look so smooth and flawless. Better yet, the makeup lasted till the NEXT MORNING, even after a night of dancing and partying. Thanks Amy! -

Amy is AWESOME!! She made me look so beautiful in my photoshoot with Robert Barbutti. I had her create 4 different looks for me...both hair and makeup and I was blown away at how professional and quick she was in between shots. She didnt waste any time and she knew just what to do to make my photos look fantastic. She stayed with me the entire 8 hrs of shooting fixing every piece of hair that was out of place and making sure my makeup was flawless.
Not only is she extremely talented, she is the biggest sweetheart and so much fun to be around. You cant go wrong with Amy and the next shoot I do I will definately be contacting her! Love ya girl! xo -

Amy is really awesome. She came all the way down to Palo Alto on 2 days notice to do my hair for a head shot photo shoot. I'm an opera singer, and since she didn't know much about what those photos look like, she even did her own research and thought about my hair design before we met. It's commitment like that that really makes me happy.
She set up shop in my bathroom and was such a sweetheart as she made miracles out of my hair. AND her price was totally reasonable for her services ($93 including driving costs). She was extremely knowledgeable about what would look good for my hair type, and I could tell she had a lot of experience. My photos turned out beautifully and I really think she made a huge difference.

Amy Sadek has been doing makeup for my models for years now and is finally getting a review! Amy is amazing! She is very creative and can do mild to wild! I have worked with her mostly on models, but she does make for weddings, quincenieras, fashion shows and more.
She has a great personality and really makes our shoots FUN!!!
You can get Amy to come to your location From San Francisco to San Jose Areas - and Trust me, she's worth it!!
She charges way too little for the quality of work she does, so have her make you up soon! -

Amy is terrific. She did my make up last weekend for a benefit that I attended and it was gorgeous! I can't believe how little she charges for her services. I just got the photos back from the event (luckily I had my makeup done because my date and I ended up in the newsletter!
She's got a sunny, smiley personality and comes to your house.
What more could you want?

anyway as my mom said below, amy is amazing! i felt beautiful on my wedding day and my hair and makeup was exactly how i had imagined it would be. besides doing fantastic hair and makeup, amy is super sweet, down to earth, and easy to talk to/work with. also her prices are very reasonable.

Amy is FANTASTIC!!! She's able to create any kind of a look you want. For my recent photo shoot with Robert Barbutti, I went for two basic looks, one Super Goth and the other Dramatic. She excelled at both. I am so happy with my photos! I wanted to look like a rock star and she totally made me ROCK! And she is one of the sweetest people in the world. If you want to look your best, hire this wonderful woman. She's awesome!

I found Amy on yelp as I needed someone to do my hair and makeup (along with 3 bridesmaids) on my wedding day. I really wanted someone who could do both hair AND makeup, and who would be wiling to come to my aunt's house in Mtn View. Amy fit all of this criteria, PLUS she didn't charge a ridiculous amount like a lot of the bay area hair/makeup artists! When Amy did the trial, she came to my apartment and set up shop in my kitchen, as I don't have a big bathroom. She was so sweet and really paid attention to what I wanted. She also made some great suggestions, which were very appreciated as I'm not exactly a pro at hair/makeup! She also wrote down what makeup she used, took pictures of my hair, and timed herself so that everything would go quickly and smoothly on the big day.
The day of the wedding, I needed Amy to come early to my aunt's to do hair and makeup, since there were a lot of us needing beautification. When she came, my aunts were throwing a shower for me and even doing skits - she was patient waiting for all the madness to end and also laughed along with the rest of us. She did a FABULOUS job on all the hair and makeup, and got done on time despite the delay in the morning (my fault, not hers!). My bridesmaids all loved her. It was SO nice having her come over and saved us all the stress of running around to a salon.

I am using Amy's makeup services for my wedding and just had my trial last weekend. I scheduled it perfectly. . right before my bridal shower. I am one to shy away from make up due to my rosacea, but the make up covered up any blemishes and I did not encounter any reaction. I was more than pleased with the results and the flexibility to have my makeup anyway I wanted. When I arrived at my shower, my guests and especially bridesmaids were shocked to see how great the makeup looked on me. I highly recommend Amy for her talent, skill, and most importantly (for a bride) the cost! Her prices are the best I have found in the bay area.

Amy has done my makeup and hair for a few different events, and I have nothing but GREAT things to say. First, she is such a sweet, genuine and person, which makes the process just that much more fun! Second, she is amazingly talented! She is able to do dramatic makeup for fun nights on the town as well as subtler makeup for more reserved events! And either way her talent shines through! And lastly, she is able to curl my hair..This may seem like no big deal, however, there are very few people that can successfully curl my hair (including my regular hairdresser)!! Whether it's hair or makeup you need, Amy is fantastic! I agree with other yelpers, however, she charges way too little for how much talent she has!!! Thanks Amy!

Amy is the best it gets!! She is extremely flexible and can create any look you want. When the makeup artist I had booked backed out 10 days before my wedding , I contacted Amy in a panic. She worked it out with her schedule so that she could do my trial and wedding. She was so awesome at the trial, I told her what I was looking for and she gave me exactly what I wanted...and I then discovered that what I had asked for wasn't what I really wanted. After asking some questions, she was able to create the look that I hadn't been able to articulate. She wrote everything down and took pictures which was a nice extra touch. On the wedding day, she was right on time and started on my girl's makeup since I hadn't yet returned from the hair salon. She made everyone absolutely beautiful!!! My makeup lasted through the ceremony and on through the reception including all the sweaty dancing, it was great - I've never looked so good or felt so comfortable having my picture taken.
The best part of all this? Amy's prices!! I did quite a bit of calling around and Amy's prices are out of this world reasonable, not even kidding. Especially when you're talking about "bridal" or "wedding" here in the Bay Area.
Amy, you can expect a phone call for all my extra special events from now on! Thanks so much!!
