We would highly recommend AMS for DJ services. Frances worked with us on an administrative side from the beginning and was very professional and organized. Their online planner is super helpful and allowed us to document pertinent info, as well as choose song to play and not to play at our reception. Will, our DJ, was fabulous! He followed up with us prior to the wedding to get a feel for our style and what we were looking for. The day of the wedding he was all over keeping the festivities rolling. He kept us updated and was totally in charge! Great music too...he read the crowd and kept everyone dancing! We were worried about a DJ being cheesy and setting the wrong tone at our reception and Will proved us wrong. Our event was just as we hoped for and Will helped to make it that way!

After months of careful consideration & preparation....my husband and I still managed to procrastinate on getting our wedding music together.
We really pushed timing to the wire - - the day before the wedding.
We worked directly with Frances, Joe, Andy and our DJ - Melissa, {who was FABULOUS!!}. They were flexible and easy going... prior and during our event. Even with our delay, they were able to pull everything off seamlessly.
We also used the AMS photobooth ....a huge success!! -

We were beyond satisfied with the services of AMS. Chris was the DJ for our wedding, and couldn't have been more informative, helpful, polite, and professional. He read the crowd perfectly, using both our suggestions and his own expertise to adapt as needed. We were in great hands. We never felt worried about the music at all. Chris even went out of his way to ensure that we had an amazing day - he made sure we had champagne in our hands, he notified us of any changes he made, and he really did an amazing job of matching the music to the mood.
What was impressive to us is that as important as music is at a wedding - one of the most important things - we never felt concerned at all. Chris made it obvious to us that he knew exactly what he was doing. Our preliminary phone calls with him were easy, enjoyable, and informative. We truly couldn't have been happier with our experience - if I EVER have another large event, Chris will be the first guy I call. Truly an excellent experience, and it's how business should be done. -

We used AMS for our wedding in March 2012. They were awesome! Our DJ, Alex, was a perfect fit for us. My husband and I don't like the typical wedding music, we literally went to the most played list on the website and added those songs to our personal do not play list. Alex totally got our style, our taste in music and our vision right away. From the moment the dancing started, it literally didn't slow done, once, until it was the final song. Our guests were signing, dancing, jumping and having an awesome time. We also had some songs that were not mainstream we wanted for the ceremony and cocktail hour that Alex tracked down, edited and played for us. The custom play list you can build online prior is also sweet, because you have options! A must play list, a would like to play list and a do not play list, which covers it all. More than that, Alex played music he knew we'd like, just based on looking at those lists. He was a great DJ, and AMS was a great entertainment group to work with for our wedding. AMS Entertainment provided Frances for our wedding at Mark West Lodge in Sept. 2010. She was both our DJ and Emcee. She did a remarkable job!
We did provide ALL the music for our event, and she did a great job playing all of it! Our guests were quite pleased.
She also did wonderful with getting our guests to stand up and give their toasts and she adapted if things ran over a bit. The only comment I have is that the sound was a bit too loud (turned up?) for the speeches. I don't know if the sound was just louder at that point from the volume it was at earlier, but it was a bit difficult for some to listen to or understand the speeches. Even watching it back on our dvds from our videographer...it was a bit difficult to understand some things. So maybe in the future, the sound could be adjusted for that. Even if there is a change in sound with videography, I think it would be better. Sometimes music/microphones are just way too loud in their settings. But besides that, everything went swell!
Thanks again!! OH, and Dave Blakey was our Flamenco guitarist we hired for our pre-ceremony, ceremony, and cocktail hour. I'm so glad we had everything videotaped, because I was too excited to remember what he played!
Frances and Dave (and Joe) were all great at email or phone communication. I would highly recommend AMS Entertainment!! Thanks you guys!! We had a wonderful day thanks to all of you! -

From start to finish AMS was extremely friendly, genuine and professional. Frances was our contact in arranging everything for our event and manned our photo booth day of and was wonderful. She never dropped the ball once and was so nice. Alexander was our DJ and he rocked our wedding. He always checked in with us to make sure everything was as it was supposed to be, he played the music we wanted, didn't play the music we didn't want to hear and was, in our humble opinions, exceptional. Overall one of the best vendors we worked with. I couldn't recommend AMS, particularly, Frances and Alexander enough.

This review is based on my experiences in booking a DJ for my wedding.
My initial call to AMS was very good. They listened to what I was looking for and explained how they operated. I was ready to book after that. 10% deposit was paid.
With a booking for a wedding you receive a username and password to access your account off their website. Here you are able to input song requests, preferences for music genres, and give instructions on what you want to hear when during the ceremony/reception.
I received a call about a month out by Chris Monson. He was my assigned DJ/MC, and he scheduled a phone appointment to go over my selections. After an hour of conversation, Chris made me feel assured that things would go fine.
Ten days before the event I receive a voicemail from the person I initially spoke to, Joe Hernandez. His message stated that the balance was due. This didn't make sense because we paid the amount a month ago. There was even documentation from AMS stating it was paid. Well this did not go over well with J, and he gave them an earful. Needless to say, it stressed us out.
The day of my wedding, Chris was dressed like the Secret Service (if you read my Copia review, it would make sense). He was extremely professional. He kept the entire event flowing even when we were running behind schedule. While we didn't "rock the reception", Chris received rave reviews from my guests. -

Let me preface this review by saying I think the things I heard about AMS prior to my wedding may have set the bar higher than it should have been - thus the reason I was disappointed with their performance - but if you're touted as the best of the best by everyone ... well ... you gotta follow through! The hard part of writing this review is that we loved our DJ. She was super sweet and very thorough prior to the wedding, which made me think the wedding would go off without a hitch. Unfortunately, on the big day she seemed stressed and a bit overwhelmed.
A few hiccups worth noting...I was supposed to be given a mic after recessing down the aisle to give a toast before leaving to take pictures and at that very moment, our DJ had disappeared. The song that my wife chose to play during her bouquet toss didn't start until after she had thrown her bouquet and then played for an awkward minute, as we all looked around wondering what to do. And when I asked for a slight change in the music during the dancing, she just looked at me and said, "that will clear the dance floor!" instead of being willing to brainstorm a few songs that might work instead. Again, not super major hiccups, but I didn't expect any hiccups after hiring the one vendor that everyone recommended. Seriously though, EVERYONE in wine country said the only DJ worth hiring was AMS.
So, maybe it was the high expectations. Maybe it was the package we went with, which only included 1 DJ, instead of 2...who knows. Overall, she was fine. But on my wedding day I'd hoped for great.

We were so glad we went with AMS! Not only was Andy great as an MC (the best voice by the way), but the company also had Ed show up to handle most of the DJ duties. The attention Andy and Ed gave us was second to none! From the moment we arrived, they were asking us if we needed a drink or if they could get us food - these were our DJs! Just unparalleled customer service!
Once we had our pre-wedding consultation, we felt so comfortable dealing with Andy, we knew we could relax about the music. He gave assurance he would adapt to our style. He spoke only when it was needed and moved everything along at the best pace. Hands down this place is probably one of the best vendors I worked with. The customer service alone sold my husband when we had started researching music vendors and since we were so pleased with the service we didn't need to create a selection of djs to choose from. They handled the music for the whole wedding from ceremony to reception and the dj that we had, Will, was AWESOME! When we first chatted with Will on the phone we instantly loved his personality and enthusiasm for our wedding that it just got us more excited too. The wedding went off without a hitch and Will was such a great MC and keeping things on track. And finally (the most important part) they're very flexible and helpful in working with your wedding budget. Since weddings are so expensive now, it's hard to get what you want for a reasonable price. AMS gave us exactly what we wanted and we stayed within the wedding budget. Thank you Frances & Will! Will you totally rocked! I've never seen any dj be able to get EVERYONE on the dance floor, you're AMAZING! Thank you for giving us the wedding of our dreams! :)

We used AMS for our April 24, 2010 wedding at Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford,CA. The whole planning process was so easy. Joe and Frances helped so much at the office. Joe asked us some questions to get an idea of what we wanted. They only suggested their other services if it met our needs - in our case an acoustic guitarist (Rick) and lights for our dance floor and belly dancer performance. AMS know the Auberge du Soleil really well so they knew exactly what works there. William our DJ was a real class act. All the music was cued just right.
My wife and I were really happy with our choice in AMS. The online planning, online payment, or just picking up the phone made it all so easy. Thank you Joe, Frances, William and Rick.
We would definitely recommend them for a Napa valley wedding. -

Excellent!!!! My wife and I had Roger from AMS for our wedding last weekend, June 12th 2010. Roger could not have been a better DJ for our reception. His communication with us, was top notch. Everytime we had a question, he would assure us he was on top of it, and everything was running smooth. Our DJ Roger kept us relaxed and enjoying our wedding, and we really appreciated that... He helped make our recepton more relaxed an enjoyable, and played everything we requested. Just an all-around great, great guy.
AMS in general, was great about communication. We started our planning early, and when we had a concern or two, they were in touch with us lightning fast. Recommend highly....

Chris Monson, our DJ from AMS Entertainment helped make my daughter's Napa Valley wedding perfect. He not only provided an awesome play list and did an incredible job as Master of Ceremony, he also worked so hard behind the scenes making the reception flow so smoothly. My husband and I were oblivious to any issues. Along with the bridal party and our guests, we sailed through and enjoyed every minute of the March 20th event.
The general consensus from guests was that the reception was fantastic. Although, they found the ballroom elegant, the appetizers and buffet delicious and well prepared and the service impeccable, it was Chris's entertainment that really put the evening over the top. He had a knack for encouraging people to dance--which they did so hardily. He did a great job, keeping a consistently crowded dance floor. Plus, even at the bitter end, there was still a sizable group left wanting him to play "just one more song!" The younger "20 something" friends and family (who typically can be a hard sell) posted on Facebook that they loved everything and did not want the party to end.
I would not hesitate to use AMS Entertainment again, as they provided excellent, professional and courteous service from start to finish. -

My husband and I had a great experience with AMS Entertainment for our June 12 wedding. We loved the planning process, and the fact that we had an online planner to help us organize any details and song requests (3 categories: must haves, play if you can, and do not play) we wanted for our big day. It was so helpful to be able to take our time making decisions, and edit everything along the way. We wanted ceremony site music, a dance-filled reception, and also a couple specific song dedications we wanted stated--- all of which happened! Our DJ was Frances Nelson, and she did a great job adapting our pre-determined timeline to the actual timeline of how the night ended up going. It was great knowing we were in such punctual, professional hands that took care of our wedding day music needs.

We used AMS for our October 30, 2010 wedding at Viansa Winery in Sonoma. They were wonderful and an absolute pleasure to work with! We booked our live duo (guitar and violin) for the ceremony and cocktail reception through them, a photobooth for the reception, and our DJ William! They were all FANTASTIC! Frances helped me a lot in the planning process and was such a pleasure to work with! The live duo did a beautiful job with the music I selected, the open air photobooth was a HUGE hit with the guests, and William was wonderful! He was so genuine and easy to work with, and did a fantastic job with music selections, timing, and making sure we were satisfied with the flow of it all! Their online planner made everything so easy -- and the dance floor was hot all night!! Many thanks to William, Frances and AMS!!

AMS Entertainment and Alexander (our DJ) exceeded our expectations every step of the way. When we were first shopping around for a DJ, 100% of the other vendors we spoke with recommended AMS. We met with AMS and were very pleased and decided that we would hire them. In describing themselves they said that for example, the type of person they hire to be a DJ might be someone who has experience in fine dining and knows how to provided excellent, quality service, whereas some other DJ companies search for big personalities. The AMS approach to DJing was exactly what we were looking for.
AMS has an online wedding planner that allows the bride and groom to create a timeline and play lists, including a do not play list. A couple of months before the wedding we met with Alexander for almost two hours and talked to him about our wedding vision and the types of music that we like and don't like. Alexander gave us his cell phone number and told us to call him anytime with questions or comments. He was extremely available and helped us create the perfect music experience at our wedding.
On the day of the wedding Alexander continued to exceed our expectations. He also impressed our guests, by asking them if there was anything he could do for them, and checking in with the people giving toasts to make sure they were ready. If I were to do the whole wedding thing again next summer (theoretically) I would without a doubt rehire AMS and request Alexander. -

My husband and I booked AMS for our wedding based on their great reputation and they lived up to it in every way! Their philosophy is the anti -"cheesy DJ" approach. Our DJ used the microphone as little as possible, but did a great job moving people where they need to be.
They have a website for entering all the details of your event which is very user friendly. They don't play any of the stereotypical cheesy wedding music unless you specifically request it - a great thing in my opinion! Everyone loved the music and danced all night long! -

AMS was very good overall. William was our DJ, and he was both professional and fun. One minor issue was that I don't think he played all of the songs on our "must play" list (even though there was adequate time to); some others were mixed in instead. We spent quite a while picking the songs on that list.... Other than that, it was a job well done. I like their policy of not necessarily giving the microphone to just anyone who spontaneously wants to make a drunken toast (without bride/groom approval).... Overall, a great job. The DJ did not use the microphone too much, and things went very smoothly.

I contracted with AMS for DJ service and musicians. Apparently they did not consider my specific requests for certain instruments important. Instead of sax, I got flute, and an "oh well" in response. If you don't care about getting what you contract for, they're great.

We recently hired AMS for our wedding, and our DJ (William Dhanasunthorn) was absolutely amazing. He knew exactly what kind of music we were looking for, I was constantly hearing songs that I thought were perfect, he had a great ear, and he managed the evening very well. Before we planned the evening I gave some thought to the music, but not so much thought to how much the DJ works to keep things moving and organized - not to worry - William had it all covered!
