Amigos tacos is the bees knees when it comes to tacos. Obviously most people come here for the tacos but some of my other favorite dishes here are the carne asada burritos, all other burritos and the chicken tortilla soup. I usually get tacos and the chicken tortilla soup....mmmmm!
Great spot in Hermosa to get some delicious food for a bargain price! -

I always judge a new Mexican place by how good their carne asada burrito is. In my experience, it's usually a good indicator if the rest of their menu is worth further delving into or not.
The burrito here wasn't good at all. A bad sign is when a place stuffs the burrito with Mexican rice for filler, which this place does. It takes out all the flavor and shows that they are just trying to save money instead of actually provide the customer with a solid dining experience. -

Rediculous.
Came all the way from NJ where the mexican is subpar and taco joints like this are few and far between...
Best tacos I have had.
Great Fish tacos...great carne asada...
Can't wait to go back!
Habanero sauce mad good too! -

What an awesome little burrito spot... This place is A-Ok!
I really enjoy the burritos here as well as the tacos. Whenever i come here the place always has a line... a good way to know other people like it too!
Whenever i'm in the area and i'm in the mood for Mexican food, i'd probably choose this spot first. -

Coming from me, a two-star rating for a taco stand is pretty good, especially considering that I don't like Mexican food.
Living in Manhattan Beach isn't cheap. So, when you see painters, gardeners, and construction workers swarm a place without wheels for lunch, you know that it's 1.) cheap and 2.) authentic. Gotta love this place. It even has an "A" rating. -

Amazing breakfast burritos. A hangover helper heartattack in a tortilla. In case you've never had it - several portions of sausage links, bacon, sausage, cheese, hash brown, eggs, love. Mixed together, I can't think of a better, more indulgent and delicious way to induce a heart attack.
Their tortas are just as good, and have the same ingredients.
Their regular burritos are great, too, and some of my favorite in the southbay. I recommend the carnitas burrito.
4 stars for the breakfast burrito/tortas.
0 stars for the delicious (regular) carnitas burrito. I think I had a minor cardio infarction (sp?) after the last one, and i think it was worth it. -

** The listing gives the address on Manhattan Ave...the real address is 87 14th Street...at Hermosa Ave**
I have lived in Hermosa for over 15 years and Monday night was my first time here. My family from Holland was visiting and I promised the nieces Mexican food on their last night. Plan was to go to La Playita but they were closed. What a nice surprise...yummy, simple, affordable and def kid friendly. The 8 year old and I had the Chicken Tortilla soup. It was spicy and chock full of chicken chunks. Next time I have a cold it will be the perfect cure. Bro in law had the fish burrito which he enjoyed. The 10 year old had the Taco Burrito with the Angus beef brisket. It is a huge burrito stuffed with generous amount of the brisket. She could not finish it so I got the leftovers. Warm or room temp that brisket was full of flavor.
Yum, yum, yum. I will be ordering this to go after a long day at work...1/2 that night with a salad and the leftovers for lunch the next day. The Mexican Coke was a nice treat. -

Granted there are some items that aren't top notch. I've had better carne asada elsewhere but, I love their chicken tacos (I like to add a little beans into the mix) and their fish tacos and burritos are great when you feel like a bit o' batter and delicious sauce. The breakfast burrito is also good but very naughty.
If you're into spicy, the habanero sauce is it! Mmmmm...
The resaurant is well kept, the portions are generous and the price can't be beat.
The boys behind the counter are very friendly and occasionally teach us gringos bad words to compliment the shoddy spanish we learned in high school.
Iv'e been to the other Amigo's tacos and it's practically the same but I'm hooked on HB's. It's the service and neighborhood thing I suppose. -

The best taco shop in Hermosa. The breakfast burrito won me over because they use hash brown patties/pancakes, instead of actual quartered potatoes that are dry and mealy from sitting out (sorry, but when I'm gonna eat nasty, I want it truly nasty! Gimme the deep-fried potato pancake in my cheesy, eggy burrito!).
The tortilla is appropriately stretchy, chewy, and undoubtedly made with lard. The guac is fresh, chunky, cilantro-y, and slightly spicy -- there's no sour cream in there, folks. It's genuine.
I haven't tried them for lunch or dinner, yet. I look forward to it, though. -

I have to concur with my esteemed colleague about the quality of the breakfast burritos. They are huge, cheap, tasty, and they cure brain cancer. This place is everything it should be, which aint much, but I like a restaurant that completely fulfills it's role in my gluttonous world. Amigo Taco is a food shack, it's fast food, roach coach food. Give it to me fast, Give it to me cheap. The breakfast burritos are really something else. The rest of the menu is not really anything exceptional. I can neither compliment their other items, nor can I subtract points for it. I've had other stuff to eat here, but it didn't impress me as being really good or really bad. I do give this place points for being cheap and fast, and filling my huge belly with calories. Also, you get to fill up your own drink cup. I don't know why, but I love doing that.

This place is ok if you like beef tacos, hubby had them and he loved them. I had the fish tacos and they weren't very good at all. That said, the sauces & guacamole were great and the service was awesome.

amigos is always on their game...every time i've been in they are busy but they always get the food out super quick.
breakfast burrito is grand, it is the most perfect burrito- tortilla grilled but still soft, never messy, bacon on the right, sausage on the left, ham potatoes and cheese throughout.
the asada & carnitas tacos are good, and the salsa...OMG! its addicting.
The guy offered me a 16 oz. soda cup when he saw how much salsa I use. I declined, and later grieved -

Overall friendly service, but the food is just not that good. Fish taco was fried flavorless little bits. The quesadilla was good if you like lots of onions, but our carnitas burrito was flavorlessly meaty and otherwise uninteresting. Nachos were incredibly plain. We got a lime when we asked, to add some flavor, but the machine with the Mexican sodas was empty, and despite repeated requests, they were just too busy to refill it. I'm used to better Mexican and we shouldn't settle for this. Sadly not worth it.

Had the carne asada breakfast burrito. Not really that impressed. Still on the hunt for the perfect hole-in-the-wall mexican joint...

Without a doubt the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. It gets even better when you order the super burrito!
