"Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows... nothing about you."

    Welcome to Amigo's.

You're sure to find no one you know in here. But that's a good thing sometimes, you dig?

Yeah, it's a chain. Yeah, it's not that memorable. But it's gonna fill you up and satisfy that Mexican food urge better than Taco Bell or Chipotle will. The food and prices are decent, and the atmosphere is tolerable. The chips are served hot, and the salsas are good for that hangover remedy. I like the green one they make there. It's hot baby.

I ordered the fajita tacos today, and I was pleased with the taste factor. Rice and beans are standard fare. In the past I've had enchiladas and other favorites. Never could complain too much.

Service hasn't been bad in my experience either.

Not top notch by any means, but there are times when you wanna wallow in mediocrity. 3 stars.

The only thing I go to Amigo's for are cheap margaritas, it's 2 for 1 on Wed I think.  Maybe Tuesday?  Not sure, because even that doesn't get me in the door.

The food is at best mediocre.  Whatever you do, DO NOT get the spinach enchiladas, or anything with spinach in it unless you like canned spinach.     Disgusting.

I personally like my Mexican food with a little flavor, maybe even a swift kick, but sometimes it seems like that is asking too much of Amigos.  A big factor in my judging Mexican restaurants is the quality and taste of their salsa.  Amigo's salsa tastes like a cold bowl of canned tomato paste.  No chunks.  No spiciness.
Looking past the salsa, the food has also failed to impress me too much.  I mean, sure, they are decent portions, but whether you get a chicken taco or beef enchilada, it all tastes relatively the same:  bland.  I guess you can always empty your bottle of hot sauce on your plate.  Amigos has decent drink specials, and if you like very mild Mexican food for an OK price then I could see you being satisfied with this place.

I suppose nothing's wrong with cheap and forgetful food.  I like the patio dining at Amigos because it makes for a nice place to relax after work and let the day slide off as the margaritas go down.
