We were on our way to an event at AT&T. The wait staff are well versed in high volume turn arounds, and we were seated in a very crowded venue within 15 minutes after saying there would be a 30 minute wait. The salad and Greek Pizza were excellent, the beer cold, and service friendly!
Thank you Amici's for getting our evening off to a great start!
I gave it a four, because I haven't sampled enough of their menu, but I do like what I see!

Good food that costs a lot, but what can you expect for ball park area food?

We ordered a small size linguine and clams with chicken added since I was craving it before the game. It came out to $18. The chicken was tender, and there were good clam chunks inside. The small serving size is for individuals, but it was definitely smaller than other take out pasta dishes I've had (CPK, Pasta pomodoro, etc.). I was kind of sad that it cost so much for that, but I guess ballpark real estate can't be cheap.

I really like Amici's pizzas and salads, they are my favorite pizzas...and the New York Cheesecake is to die for...which is why the following hit me so hard. Amici's is really big enough to invest in this technology and get it right and the fact that they're not I find to be offensively dismissive of the customer experience.

So...I have to take a full 4 stars off for being online-inept, or just a tease. I would've given 4-5 stars otherwise.

DO NOT provide an "order online" option if it doesn't WORK.

I work in IT and if I could not figure out how to get items I wanted into a cart and BUY them, then it's too obscure or just broken. What's up with highlighting little hearts?! Cute, but how do I ORDER them? No "add to cart" or "add to order button"...clicking the cart logo got me nowhere...is there a secret handshake?

I ended up calling in the order but still feel irritated that I first had to waste 20 minutes figuring out that the online thing just wasn't going to work first.

Take it down, fix it, or buy an out-of-the-box shopping cart that uses standard conventions that people know how to use, Amici's!

Way too much money for a burned pizza.

The service was alright, but I'm pretty sure pizza crust is not supposed to be black.

WAY overpriced, almost $90.00 for what should have been about half the price.

    Not real impressed!

Sighhh.  I hate giving bad reviews, but this place just wasn't really good.  I ordered a Caesar salad though, so maybe their pizza is a lot better.  I think this is one of those places that is "cheaper" than other places in the area for people to grab something + go to the game.  The salad was just horrible.  Too much dressing, and for $14 for a large, the salad was not very big.

So... I have never eaten at Amici's but this is the site that delivers to my place.  I love the pizza from here.  Usually order to arrival is under an hour.  I usually get a large pizza and large Caesar salad without anchovies.  Yes, it is pricey but so are most tasty things in SF.  If you buy cheaper pizza, you will get cheaper quality and not as tasty.  I love that they saute their ingredients so all the items are cooked.  I'm a spinach, tomato, mushroom, and pepperoni person.  This combo usually makes a pizza with odd consistency and inconsistent flavor.  Caesar salad is always fresh which is unusual when pizza is being served.  The salad dressing is on the side and not just a plain "out of bottle" dressing.

I called to let them know. Secretly, I expected a credit but no, nothing. I'm never going back. Plenty of other pizza places south of Market.

This is the only Amicis I've been to and it was quite good.  I had delivery to my office downtown.  Very easy, fast delivery.  I had a Greek salad and a small pizza.  They were both very filling and flavorful, the salad had a lot of different ingredients, which I really loved.  The pizza was quite addictive, by the end of the 12 hour shift, after going back to it every hour or so and having another piece, I had finished it all.  It may be on the more expensive side compared to other pizza places in the area, but the ingredients definitely taste fresh, so you do get what you pay for.  Plus, I bet it would have tasted a whole lot better in the restaurant and not in my office, but I would order again.

Simple words of wisdom from Cookie. Pay attention folks. You want east coast pizza? GO TO THE EAST COAST. Simple. None of these so called west coast pizzarias including Amici can make an east coast pizza. Time for Cookie to hop on Jetblue to go to new york. Cookie just hopes there's no crazy pilot on board.

Surprised at the overall review scores especially the past couple months or so.  I've always thought Amici's is one of the better pizza chains around, esp. for NY-style.

Didn't know about this particular location until we were walking around the ballpark today.  The weather was gorgeous and since we had the little pup with us, we were looking for an outdoor joint for lunch.  Saw Amici's and we knew this was the place.

Thought about the vegetarian (which i've had and loved) or the vegan (which i'm dying to try) but settled on the red clam.  Perfectly made and the medium we got was huge!  Took home almost 1/2 of it to clean off at dinner.

Great location esp when the weather is good.  Would imagine its perfect to chow here before a ball-game or after.  Server was great.  Don't really know what inside is like but the sidewalk eating was very good -- lots of space as well as shade.  Will return if we're in the area, or even take out to go.

Linguini with clams in red sauce. One of the better places for this dish! The service is decent here and unlike the other location, there isn't a drugged up person peeing in the bathroom trash can. This place is pretty decent.

I typically don't review pizza places but Amici's is a big fat expensive MEH.

We order Amici's for our evening classes sometimes and the bill always comes out to be crazy expensive.  $225+ for 4 pizzas, 2 salads, and some sodas.  A $12 pasta is basically the size of an appetizer/side.

I do like their Milano pizza with the potatoes and bacon, and eating thin crust does make me feel like less of a fatty.  But if I'm gonna order pizza, I'd rather go with a cheap and filling place.

Running around San Francisco all day can be exhausting.  In fact, even though there are so many new and exciting eateries to check out there are some times you are too tired to get out there.  At the same time, you want PIZZA.

    Delivered.

Ok then, call Amici's.  They'll hook you right up.  I was thrilled when they said they'd deliver to our hotel. They took our credit card, too.  The menu i looked at online said they had oven roasted garlic as a topping and sauteed mushroom. Not sure why but I always picture "sauteed  mushrooms" as FRESH mushrooms. These were canned. I guess fresh was too difficult. The garlic was yummy and the mild italian sausage as OK.

The only other thing I have to mention is the crust. We asked for the thin crust and indeed, got it.  But the menu specifically says, "If a darker crust is not to your liking, please specify "light crust", although the result may be undercooked for some tastes."  Now I don't know about YOU, but I really appreciate it when a restaurant brings this type of stuff up. It means they want you to know ahead of time something that might be a fault of theirs and remedy it.  So, as you've probably figured out by now, we went ahead and ordered the crust "LIGHT."

Never happened. The bottom of the pizza was black as the night.  Still tasted good, but still. Also there were those canned mushrooms. Of course we ate it. and it was GOOD.  Just stopped short of being FANTASTIC because of those little issues.

This place got an added star from me because they delivered and made my life easier that night.  Considering I've only tried their pizza, that's pretty generous of me. When we come back I wouldn't mind trying something else of theirs.

Being close to AT&T Park is the only going for this place. I have ordered to go here several times on my way to a Giants game, and I have yet had a decent meal from them.

The pizza I had, didn't have enough toppings (very sparse) with a crust that was like slightly burnt cardboard.

Another time, I had ordered rigatoni in a white wine sauce with grilled chicken. It turned out to be linguini in oil with chicken jerkies!

Enough said, I will eat elsewhere when I go to the game from now on.

i'll get straight to the point.....

    Pros:
-- even after a sold out Giants game, i was able to get a table right away, and the food came with no delays.
-- the pizza is still good, although i'm not as enamored with it as i once was.  not sure why.

    Cons:
-- 4.85% SF health surcharge, even though their prices are on the high side.

the 4.85% health surcharge is the reason why i'll never come back.  their pizza is good, but not so good that it justifies their premium prices AND the additional 4.85% rip off fee.  i'll just go elsewhere for pizza from now on.

Good place to grab a bite to eat before heading to AT&T Park because it is literally across the street.

They have outdoor seating for the beautiful summer days in the city. The day we went it was actually really hot and I had to find some shade! I know this place is known for their pizzas but the bf and I ordered penne with meat sauce (small order) and a meatball parmesan sub to share instead.

The service isn't the best here. Our waitress was nice but we hardly saw her and we waited a really long time to get our check after we were done eating...which was annoying because we were in a hurry to get to the Giants game!

Anyhow, back to the food. I like that you have the option of choosing different sizes of the pasta dishes because there are some days when you feel like being a fatty and others when you don't. The pasta dish was nothing special but I did like that the pasta was a perfectly cooked al dente.  The bf and I both had a half of the meatball sub. My only complaint about that was that a part of the bread was so burnt that it was totally inedible and I had to eat around the burnt areas.

You definitely get more bang for your buck here compared to eating at the ballpark.

I came for dinner with a friend this past Friday before the Giants game. It's the first time on a while, so it's a chance to update my review.

We ordered the Amici's regular combo. It's the most conservative choice because it pretty much contains the basic toppings (like pepperoni, mushroom, etc.) that we all like.  The medium size was 13 inches, almost perfect for two people.  The crust was thin and flaky, a big plus for someone like me who dislike thick crusts. In fact, I'm not sure if there are other places there the crust stands out so much for being as good as the rest of the pizza.

The staff was pretty nice and attentive despite the pregame crowds. There's outside seating which we had a chance to enjoy that evening.

They do charge 4.85 percent tax due to the requirement for restaurant employee health insurance. I commented on it last time also but this tome I will not deduct for it. (I wonder if it's charged also at their other location in SF.)

Studying the menu, it's good to see they serve mini size also (seven inches). That means I can return to try on my own certain combos that my friend was not a fan of.

Food: I had the minestrone soup and breadsticks.  The soup was pretty standard, a little small.  The breadsticks, however were amazingly delicious.  They were flaky on the outside and very soft on the inside.  Some of the best breadsticks I've ever had.

Service: The wait staff was very friendly and quick and laid back.  The place itself is well kept, spacious and laid back.

Price: The breadsticks were very dollar but the soup was over priced.  For $4 you get maybe 6 ounces of soup.

I'll never be able to review Amicis because, frankly, I'll never eat their pizza. Placed a delivery order based on the fact they, hey, they deliver. Unfortunately, even though we're a five minute drive from the place, they don't deliver to our neighborhood (Dogpatch) because "we've been robbed a few times in your neighborhood and so we've stopped delivering there for the time."

Frankly, if you stop delivering to every neighborhood in SF that you might get robbed in you might want to consider moving to Fresno.

Not bad option if you are looking for pizza delivery in the city. i can't say the pizza here blew me away, but I definitely enjoyed it. I do think they could do a better job cooking the curst (that goes for the bottom of the pizza too) but it didn't hamper the overall product that much. It's a step above delivery chains but not quite willing to give it a fourth star here

Great food, friendly staff, good location.  I love thin crust pizza and they do it right.

I avoid pre-game times as they can get crowded being across from AT&T Park.   Open until 10pm most nights so good for when I am off work late.

Great place for a diet?  You bet.   Side spinach salad, no pine nuts, dressing on the side (use less than a tsp): ~165 calories.  Mini (7") extra thin pizza with onions: ~300 calories.  My numbers not theirs, I took it to-go, separated the ingredients and measured/weighed it myself (being a small chain they don't have this info).

I've long been a fan of Amici's. Now, I'm not going to claim that they make the best pizza I've ever had (I make that!) but they offer a consistent product and good service. I nearly always get the Trentino.

I cannot evaluate Amici's claim to authenticity on the East Coast as I have never had pizza from that region. But I can say that they don't overload their pizzas with toppings, a common downfall of lesser pizza joints, and I fully believe that the crust makes the pizza, and a real open flamed brick oven makes the crust. You can't quite replicate it in other pizza ovens.

Finally, the convenience of Amici's is hard to beat. The prices are competitive with other good pizza joints and the free delivery is a huge plus. They also have a good number of restaurants without turning into a TGIFridays or anything.

My only gripe with this particular restaurant is that, despite being within spitting distance to ATT Park, they don't have even one tv on which to show the game.

Popped in while a Giants game was in session and the place was pretty empty.  That said, we were still seated at a small table in an awkward spot up against a wall just outside what appeared to be the kitchen or server station, surrounded by numerous windowside tables as well more private tables tucked away around the corner, only a few steps away.

We placed our order for a veggie pizza with vegan cheese and a flavored Snapple Ice Tea.  We waited a good amount of time before our server came around to apologize for the delay as the kitchen had not received our order.  That delay actually kept us from beating the Giants crowd and in turn, delayed my evening plans.  In all fairness though, the server felt really bad about it, and the Snapple was on the house.

The pizza was okay, but then we did request vegan cheese, which probably isn't the easiest to pull off.

So the pizza they delivered was totally burned. (See uploaded photo.)

Called the shop and the first woman who answered the phone, as well as the manager said that they are known for their "well-done" crusts. I explained that blackened crust (see photo!) is NOT "well-done." The manager persisted in his belief that I had received a well-done pizza. Finally he agreed to send another pie out. It arrived only 1/2 burned.  I sent the burned pie back and felt badly that I didn't tip the second driver.

Bummed that our dinner was delayed by 40 minutes and there was no offer to compensate for that. I called the shop back after the new pizza arrived and explained that I was disappointed that they were so defensive when I suggested the pizza was burned, and that they should reconsider how they treat customers. I told him I would be posting a photo and review on Yelp so he could see the crust for himself.  Manager said he told the driver I could keep the other pizza. Why the hell-o-kitty would I want to keep a burned pizza(?) I asked him. He then offered to put a "free" dessert on my account for "next time." I said there wouldn't be a "next time." He then offered to put a free large-sized pizza on my account for "next time."

Too little too late. There will never be a "next time." Arrivederci, Amici's!

Joined a long-time New Haven friend for informal early dinner with her dad visiting from NY state, all of us discerning, picky pizza eaters--the place did not disappoint, and the service was fantastic.  We each had salads--all really nicely prepared with freshly cut red onion, aromatic olive oil etc, and then each had different pizzas--liked mine the best --Sicilian so called with broccoli and Ital sausage--cooked well and not at all greasy.  Re several of the Yelp reviews that refer to burnt pies, none of ours were at all burnt, but even if they were, we all know that with hot ovens,  the crust sometimes get burnt, that's what a Frank Pepe pie (New Haven) is all about...

I've been here a few times, usually in a last-minute hurry for food before heading into a ballgame or concert at the ballpark.

Everyone is very friendly at Amici's. The problem is the pizza. It is way too greasy and salty. You can literally take a slice, fold it in half, and squeeze the grease out of it like a sponge. On top of that I find everything to be overpriced for what you get.

And please take the Celtics and Red Sox pictures off the wall. This is sacrilege across the street from the home of the Giants. Do you think pizza places near Fenway Park have pictures of the Giants adorning their walls?

When my sister worked in Mountain View her office raved on and on about Amicis Pizza and she would then tell me about them. You would have thought they were the best pizza on earth with how she mentioned everyone went on about how authentically "East coast" their pizza was. Im not sure if those who claim it to taste so authentic are actually from back East but while I didn't think Amicis was BAD, i didnt think they resembled or tasted anything like any of the great slices I've tasted in NYC.
To be quite frank I thought Amicis pizzas were just ok compared to other pizza places we've tasted in the city. Unfortunately those places are not in SoMa and do not deliver to our building so we have been "forced" to order from Amici's a couple times. I know, life is hard.

While some may argue that a dripping greasy slice is the greatest, I on the other hand am not a fan of oiliness. Their pizza is OILY with a capital "O" and it becomes apparent on just how much when you take it out of the fridge the next day to a thick solidified layer of grease on top of the cheese. Not very appetizing the next day and I was immediately turned off by the sight.

But regardless we'll probably still order from Amici's every now and again when ordering for a group. Due to the horrible phone etiquette of one unnamed SoMa pizza establishment im sure we will beckon one of Amicis pies when the hubs and I are too lazy to cook and are all out of ideas on where to go out for a quick dinner or lunch. I'm sure that day will be sooner than later. Probably a bit sooner than my arteries would prefer....

It's a nice gesture, but I wish my employer would stop ordering Amici's for lunch meetings.

I've been disliking Amici's since I first had it from the Redwood Shores location many years ago. It's flimsy, greasy, bland, and dry. I am not sure how they could get their pizza to be both greasy and dry at the same time, but they nailed it. There is hardly any sauce. They use pepperoni that is a lot smaller diameter than most, and when it cooks the edges curl up so that the pepperoni slices end up looking like little bowls that fill up with grease.

    MMMMMM!

My coworkers say "bla bla bla this pizza is so good" and I sit there waiting until the meeting ends so I can get something to eat that won't give me heartburn and won't leave me feeling bad about myself afterwards. Maybe you'll like it, but I think it's pretty sick.

With places like Patxi's, Delfina, Little Star, etc in The City, I just won't bother with this stuff anymore. Even when it's free. I eat Amici's and I feel like I have to redo having pizza, just to cancel out the experience.

When it comes to NY style pizza in SF, I prefer Escape from New York on Haight.

I've gotta agree with most of the 1-star and 2-star reviewers here.   $10+ for what is a side dish of pasta, although they call it "Small."  The pasta was al dente and kept its firmness for takeout, which is why I am giving 2-star instead of 1-star.  IF I decide to go back for pizza, because I do like the "burnt" style pizza, and if it's good, I'll come back and reconsider the rating.

I have a really hard time understanding why it's always so crowded here.  Is it really worth the wait?  Not in my opinion.  Is it worth the price? Not too sure it is.

Service has been excellent every time we go.  Had issues with our salad & got a voucher for a free large pizza.  We brought our 6 month old baby & the server was extremely friendly & welcoming to him.

Never had to wait for a table, price is good.

Food is as expected for a chain.
