Disclaimer: I have only been to Amici's for lunch. But that's because their lunch specials are rightfully acclaimed in the area. For a very affordable price, you get a high-quality, sit-down lunch in a very nice environment. The food isn't five stars, but it's consistently good...I'd compare it to what Bertucci's would like to be. I've found the service to be fine, too. A nice, local restaurant in an area dominated by big brand chains.

I'm not exactly sure what the big to do is about this place. I know plenty of people who enjoy their lunch specials, but after making my second trip during the lunch hours, I find that the items off the regular menu are a bit more exciting than the run of the mill lunch specials they offer.
Walking in to Amici's you're automatically hit with this unsettling smell of a retirement home. I'm in no way saying anything bad about my elders, but there must be something wrong with the ventilation in this place because I am immediately put off by the smell.
I ordered the baked penne siciliana which looked like sick on a plate. My stomach agreed and gurgled the whole time I ate (which ended up only being a few bites). My friend ordered her usual of the lasagne and quite enjoyed it. The bread before the meal was fresh and tasty and the salad that comes along with the meals were crisp.
All in all, I wouldn't choose Amici's as my first option of places to go, however, I wouldn't pass it up as a free meal. -

I am between A-ok and Yay I'm a fan. The apps were amazing, but once the main course was served, half the table was in love and other half was not impressed. My portion was small. My sisters chicken parm was tough. They did not do anything for her dissatisfaction & did not hardly eat it. Salad is awesome! All dressings are made in house. Great place if you are meeting for drinks, conversation, or light food.

We found this restaurant to be very pleasant; nice atmosphere, tastefully decorated for Christmas, excellent food and wonderful service, all you could want in a restaurant.
Food was prepared nicely, brought hot with good portions for lunch and the menu had many things that I would like to try on our next visit(s). Soda included free refills and the wait staff were right there to have it refilled.
Lunch included a large Specials menu for $5.50 each, which is very reasonable for the portion received. My friend had pasta fasciole soup and whole belly baby clams with capers, hot peppers, garlic etc. over penne. He liked it very much except that he did not realize that the dish included thin slices of hot cherry peppers which were quite hot. The Carvel ice cream was needed next door as a topper...
I had the French Onion Soup and a grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and both were excellent. Choice of french fries, egg plant? fries or fruit salad. I chose the fruit salad which included melon that was quite green and hard (but this IS winter) with grapes, orange and pineapple. I wonder what the eggplant fries are like? Maybe next time.
We would definitely go again. When we left, the parking lot was absolutely at capacity showing that many people like this place.

After driving by Amici's for two years, I finally decided to give it a chance. Well, I wasn't disappointed. Since my first visit, I have been there for lunch and dinner many times. The food and service is always consistent and the atmosphere welcoming. A couple of my favorites from the menu: Stuffed Mushrooms (made with sausage and cheese, not bland bread stuffing); Penne Amici, Field Greens Salad (with roasted pears, cheese..delicious). Also, they have a $5 lunch menu during the week, selections change daily.
Overall, Amici's offers quality Italian food at reasonable prices. -

We have many Itialian restaurants around this area. Unfortunatly, Amici's isn't one of the better ones. I had stopped in for dinner with my family one evening. The waitress was confused, the meal wasn't special, the environment was very noisy. My table had a hard time carrying on a conversation. The place is very loud. Not a second time for me. There are others with better surroundings at the same if not lower prices.
