Overall very pleasant experience. Based on all other reviews I'd make the following assessment:
Whenever you get to an Italian restaurant and they have meatball something on the menu you know it's not the most authentic experience. In that case it's best to stick to basics. I went with the linguine bolognese and I thought they were great. They were perfectly al dente and the sauce was tasty.
The service was friendly and I didn't have to wait much. The deck is a pleasant addition in the summer time.. Luckily the high fence does a decent job keeping the deck comfortable and private as it's facing Mukilteo speedway. Which brings me to the final point; this is Mukilteo- not Seattle, San Francisco or LA and as such charging 18.- for bolognese is simply too much! Once you add tip you are looking at a 20.- lunch.. In Mukilteo ..- really?
Price is the reason I gave this establishment 3 and not 4 stars. -

Don't order a steak!
For almost $40.00 you would think the owner could prepare a steak without burning it!
I haven't had to return a meal in years!
My meduim rare steak was cooked well done and was not even hot, when I showed the waitress she returned it to the kitchen. The owner sent out a raw steak on a plate and a lecture! How disgusting and embrassing!
After the raw meat was taken away, she came back again asking if I was sure I didn't want my burned steak back(Are you kidding me?)I received a another steak, better.
However when the bill arrived he charged me for 2 steaks and then yelled at me from the kitchen!!! It was a horrible experience.I'm still in shock!!!! -

Went here tonite for the first, last, and only time. Their Wed. night "special" is Prime Rib (which we couldn't have guessed but was a pleasant surprise - we thought). We were just looking for someplace with a decent dinner and had heard about Amici Bistro so stopped in.......not really set on Italian but it would've been ok..........but found the prime rib instead.
First of all, service was glacial. The young man who poured water and served bread was trying but if he cracked a smile, I think his face would've broken. Not to mention the woman hostess (owner?) who was ordering him around like she was a Nazi commander. Not something I really want to witness or hear as I try to enjoy dinner.
Had a salad which was good but I don't know that it was worth an extra $9. The small prime rib and a potato was $15.95. The larger prime rib and a potato was $19.95. My husband had the larger, I the smaller.
The prime rib itself was on the extremely rare side, was cold, and my husband's arrived without au jus. Apparently horseradish is something above and beyond what they normally serve with prime rib here (but isn't it served everywhere with prime rib?) - and the waiter brought out a tiny little plastic tub with some in it.
My baked potato came wrapped in tin foil (really?) and was hard, compact, and crunch at the bottom. Only toppings were butter and sour cream.
We had to ask for the bill and then once we paid, in cash, it took forever to get change.
All in all - would not go here again. Save your money as this place is extremely expensive for what you get and for what you must endure. -

I'm afraid I have to add to other unfavorable reviews.
We checked out this restaurant at the recommendation of acquaintances who have had good luck in the past. This time, however, the waiter forgot to tell us about the specials and we waited a loooong time for our food to arrive when the restaurant was still half empty.
The much praised Lobster Ravioli were not to my liking, some bites were tasty, others were too fishy. They were also covered with a thick and sticky cream sauce that is too heavy. The salad was good and so were the Manicotti, but really nothing special.
For the overall quality of the food and service, the prices are definitely too high and the layout of the place is not very inspired. It's also noisy. My recommendation: eat desert first (or only) -- the Limoncello Mousse is very nice with its sweet and tart flavors. -

We came here lunch and I was told it was a pretty good italian place. I was disappointed.
I had penne with sausage. I like al dente in my pasta but this was more chewy than I like (think rawhide chew toys). It was a huge plate, I'll admit, but quantity doesn't win over quality for me.
The staff was pretty courteous and funny, which pushed me to a two and a half star rating. But, they lost the half star because even though there were only two parties in the dining room, they sat us back to back.Listed in: Italian Eats

The Food was good..........service was horrible.......
I had the Fettucine with bolognese sauce. The portion was well sized and very tasty. I have had better, but this was pretty good.
The waiter earned every penny of the 25 cent tip I left. For a $18 dinner I expect a bit more than McDonald's service of taking my order and giving me my food. He didn't ever bring the bread, and I only got a refill for my water when a busboy came by.
The place was probably about the loudest Italian restaurant I have ever been in. There is a bar, that was rocking, that is not separated from the dining area. -

I have eaten here about five times. My family and I love this restaurant so much that we come all the say from Seattle. The service is always top notch but more importantly the food is always excellent. I've never had a meal there that was mediocre or bland. It is consistently outstanding. It is not the place to go if you are in a hurry. It is a complete dining experience. Its a good date restaurant as well as for family birthdays. I personally like the Lasagna as well as the Seafood Cannelloni. The food is very filling, rich, delectable, and savory. Be prepared to Eat! It is hard not to stuff yourself when portions are generous and the food is so good. You want to eat even after you are full. Even the house salad is super special and quite tasty. The ambiance is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good Italian food. Leave room for desert as their chocolate truffle mouse cake is out of this world. And I do not even really like desert or sweets so you know its good if even I like it. It is a bit pricier than say Olive Garden but well worth it. Trulyy there is no comparison. Amici's is a real quintessential Italian restaurant where they really do it right. I am Italian and very very picky about my choices of Italian restaurants. It is my honor and privilege to give Amici's Bistro five very well deserved stars.

The food was very delicious and tasty. The server was also very friendly and attentive. He came to our table several times to check to make sure everything was okay. I would've gave them 5 stars, but I only gave them 4 stars because I felt that they were very overpriced for the amount of food that you get. Other then that, I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.

Food is just okay for me. Better than the Olive Garden for sure, but prices are a little high for what you are eating. Nothing really culinary innovative, just all the old standards prepared in the classic tradition. Overall, not a bad place to eat, but there are better places for the money.

From reading the other reviews, Amici's seems to be a bit hit or miss. Luckily, my experience was a hit. The server was very attentive. I ordered the pesto gnocchi and it was cooked perfectly.

You would never know it driving by on the speedway, but Amici Bistro is a very classy Italian restaurant great for family dinners or a date. A little on the pricey side, but the fresh salads and generous pasta dishes are well worth the expense. And the clean, sunlit decor is nice, too.

The service was O.K., not all that attentive at first, but then they got better. The food was great. We're definitely going back.

When I do go into the little hamlet I choose one of two places.
One star off for the price to amount of food you get, one star for the temperament of the owner which seems to be unpredictable at best. Stick to Italian dishes-it will be worth the wait. The squash soup when they have it will please the taste buds and leave you wanting more. The bread, garlic and vinager will only fill the hole. Resist the urge to eat too much of it before your dish arrives. The chicken fettacini is hit or miss. Ask for extra garlic. The coffee is pretty darn good. Desserts if fresh are amazing. The pasta dishes are the best in mukilteo as far as I can tell. Would not make special trip to eat there but if we are with in 5 miles we go if the Japanese place doesn't get our attention first. Decor could use a boost. Bathrooms are utilitarian only. Tables are clean and the cloth napkins a great bonus.
