This was my Childhood Bowling Alley and I loved it. Quite a lot of great times here. The first time I went Bowling it was just .75 Cents a game. Nice. I went to the Sh_t Hole Bowlmor Lanes on University Place NY NY last night and it SUCKED.... i hadn't gone bowling in years and couldn't Believe How Much Bowlmor Ruined and F_cked Up Bowling.. Friggin $13 a game, they Played LOUD Shitty MUSIC the whole time, the Dam Bowling Pins were Florescent, You couldn't Keep Score the old fashioned and best way on a Paper Score Card (This was Electronic and Automatic also) you couldn't hear The Wonderful Sound of Bowling Pins Smashing ... "BAD, BAD, BAD, and More Bad" BOWLMOR THAT is.
WALLINGTON LANES Is GREAT .. Well I'm not sure, haven't been there in years, but after the terrible experience at Bowlmor in New York I've vowed to go to WALLINGTON LANES one day soon and HOPE and Pray that they have not destroyed and RUINED the wonderful experience I remember so well as a Child "The SOUND of PINS SMASHING and EVERYTHING"

Came here on Friday night with my boyfriend. We rented 2 pairs of shoes and played 4 games, which ended up costing about $50 total. Quite expensive still (we were hoping they'd charge by the hour).

I noticed a sign that read "All you can bowl for $10/each Sunday thru Thursday after 9 PM" which would be a fantastic deal.

Probably would only come back if in the area and wanted badly to bowl.

The levels of synthetic lanes ensure that you and your group will have hours of fun!  Mini-arcade for the kids near the entrance.  But if the bowling doesn't keep them occupied, then you'll probably need to slip them a Ritalin.

All the amenities are centrally located like the bar and snack counter.  You won't have to worry about fine dining here, just napkins--cuz the food is greasy good.

The first time I tried Murphy's Irish Stout was here.  The first time I rolled a 300 hundred was here too.

    Awesometown...

Not much to say here except that it is clean and family friendly.

Ohh, I almost forgot, you won't feel like vomiting because you smell stinky feet everywhere LOL. A huge plus!

Sunday nights after 7pm, Amf Wallington Lanes has a pretty good deal going on:

    -Shoes $2
    -Game $2

Specials on drinks and food, plus they project sunday football onto the screen. The bowling attendants and waitress were super nice. Also, my team won both games. Yay!

A note: the animation and bowling score software is the most awkward and eye-sore-ish I've ever seen.

I had booked my Bachelorette party 6 months in advanced since Wallington lanes is ALWAYS packed. We paid a $250 deposit to keep our date and lanes. October 29th was the night of the party and we winded up having a BLIZZARD- So my maid of honor called the bowling alley to see what her options were...

She explained how 13 people were suppose to bowl, but now we only had 4 due to the blizzard. So AMF said "You have 3 options, lose your deposit, come anyway and pay for all 13, or push your date for next weekend"

Ok.... my MOH said "We can't push it next weekend, she's getting married. This was a bachelorette party (which was listed on our contract), and she can't have it next weekend" so the woman goes "Ok...the weekend after?" and my MOH goes "She's on her honeymoon..so no... how about December?"  The woman says "We REALLY can't hold it for that long I'm sorry." So the ONLY option for us was to lose our deposit.... so we canceled.

I wrote a letter to corporate and explained the situation. By Tuesday I received a phone call from the original guy we had booked with. He apologized for everything that went down and said contract or no contract.. it was a blizzard..

We got out deposit back! I probably wouldn't book a party through them again but I would like to bowl there. I wouldn't want another situation like this to happen because next time who knows...I may not get a deposit back.

On a friday night, a group of 6 decided to bowl for a friend's birthday. The bowling alley was clean and seemed nice. Unfortunately asking for a lane meant waiting at least 45 minutes due to scheduled league bowling. That's ok, we'll hit the bar.

With one bartender and a lot of drinkers in the alley, getting the bartender's attention and getting served a beer took a long time. I could have eaten two Snicker's bars as I watched WWE Smackdown on the tele. Am I back in high school?

Once we were called, we paid up front for 2 games and shoes for everyone (except me and my brother - WOBS - we own bowling shoes). Much to our chagrin, our lane was on the lower level; we were surrounded by kids and therefore lane courtesy didn't exist.

This alley had the big screen playing music videos with the rock-and-bowl lights. Fergie's "Clumsy" and Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" replayed in succession 4 times. I'm serious.

I started booing loudly. The kids didn't agree.

I bowled a 160 and a 149. This is terrible by Pedro standards. If you are bringing more than one bowling ball or use a wheelchair, I would think twice about coming here (see photos). There are no ramps to get inside. There are a lot of steps.

OK, I'm not a bowler, nor do I pretend to be.

I'm more the analytical, germaphobic, half-prissy, is-this-ball-going-to-be-too-heavy kinda girl. How and why I ended up at AMF is complicated but I gotta say, I liked this place.

It was clean #1, didn't smell like feet #2, it had a full bar that was actually kind of nice, there was a menu listing with what looked like edible food and there weren't too many kids.

Anyway, we had fun. The music was decent- '80s and pop stuff. I'm competitive and somehow I miraculously won (must have been the bumpers ;) We could have stayed to play a few more games after all was said and done.

I don't know much about pricing but shoe rental and bowling in the neon room cost about $25 for 2. I'd do it again...might take a slow, cold winter day to do it, but I'd go back.

This place is EXPENSIVE. We went on a Saturday night. For 2 games and a pair of shoes, it ran us almost $30. That's insane. Granted, it's cleaner than the ones we have in Queens but whoa Daisy! I'll go back when they have a recession special!

Why are the people behind the counter here always so rude? We went in during the middle of a private event. I asked if I could rent shoes while we waited, and the girl just frowned at me and told me to come back in half an hour (even though we were allowed to wait inside.) The girl at the bar didn't even know how to make basic drinks like a gimlet or a whiskey sour. The bowling was fine, I think, but the screen doesn't have fun animations like the one in Hackensack for when you get a turkey or even just a strike.
