Found a nice Bowling Alley in Rocklin Rocklin Lanes. It was clean and well run. And as we all know, eat befor you go unless you like hot dogs.
The people in the lane next to us were having to much fun. The kept bowling strikes! I was jealous.
I have big feet so when they give me shoes most of the time their new. Nice.
Overall had a good time.

Clean and well run bowling alley. The games are cheaper here than over at Strikes, and there are not as many people who leave their damn kids unattended. Kind of a lonesome spot though as the only next door neighbors to this place is a self storage facility and the UPS Depot. Kudos to Jerry's Pro Shop in the Bowling Complex as Jerry is the BEST. He is a true professional and will make a ball that fits your hand like a glove. He is also very patient, and super to just bounce questions off of.
We reserved the party room and bowling session over a month before my son's birthday. When we arrived an hour early to begin set-up we discovered that they had written down the wrong date and time. Basically they had double-booked themselves with a bowling tournament. They were not sure if the kids would get to bowl. At leas they gave us the food for free, but the kids were really upset that they could not bowl. THe manager gave us two free bowling sessions as an apology, but they expired before we had the chance to use them. My husband and I took my son over to Strikes after our friends left so at least he would have the opportunity to bowl. What a bummer. After this I will pay the extra money to bowl at Strikes instead.
The bowling alley was pretty clean--as it was almost close to closing time. It closes at 11 p.m. and my party arrived at 10:20. We squeezed in a game and at quarter to 11 p.m. asked for a second game, in which we were denied. As to why not sure since the people who went in as we were coming out were accommodated. Were they scared of them to say no? Maybe, they looked pretty threatening.
Anyways I only bowl at AMF s one in New York that I always go to so it was fine by me.

The only place where I've bowled and I didn't stink it up! I bowled three strikes in a row at one point, which I learned is called a Turkey! Woo!
When we went, we were able to get a lane immediately and as soon as we put our bowling shoes on, I was layin' down some strikes. I have a supersticious feeling that maybe this is the only bowling alley in which I can do so well. I haven't been bowling since, because I don't wanna ruin my mojo.
EDIT: Apparently, my tremendous bowling skills can transend reality and are equally tremendous virtually! I rule at Wii bowling!

This was a great experience and fun night! I've become a recent fan of bowling and was looking for a place for my hubby and friends to go. I looked at the review of Strikes and got a little scared. The whole security guard issue and waitng for lanes for hours on end didn't sound like a recipe for fun. So thanks Yelpers for your reviews! You all were so right about Rocklin Lanes. I called to reserve a lane and they were super nice. I even had to call back to change the reservation for later and they were really cool about it! When we got there the front counter was very helpful with our shoes and even told us the best deal for the night. We order a pitcher of Hef and were totally impressed with their selection of beer, blue moon, sam adams, sierra nevada and of course bud. The bartender was really friendly and brough out our pitcher and glass mugs to our lane. The pitcher had a middle that was filled with ice so our beer stayed cold the whole time. The lanes were great, it was clean and everyone was friendly. It wasn't empty, but not overly crowed. The only issue was trying to find a ball. They had a lot of balls for tiny fingered people. Overall, great experience and we're definitely going back there!
