First off, let me state that when I give reviews I normally rate high. I tend to be generous because hey - everyone has their bad days. This place, however, was terrible.

As my boyfriend and I walked in we were greeted by the wonderful smell of pizza. Great smell = great food? Not always. He ordered a medium cheese pizza and I ordered the falafel. Took a lot longer than falafel should take and they were not busy at all when we arrived. The falafel was dry and crumbly, the tahini sauce was way too bitter, and the "veggies" just tasted off. The only thing decent about it was the wrap.

The tables were filthy - food was strewn over them, napkins were strewn on the floor, and the soda machine didn't work. Waited about 10 minutes for them to fix it. The bathroom was revolting; the women's room was out-of-order so the only working restroom was the men's room. It looked like something you'd expect to see in a dive bar at closing time, not a place where you're eating 50 feet away.

This might seem harsh, but as I said earlier, I usually rate higher than most, especially for local hang-outs. If you're ordering a plain cheese pizza for delivery, it might be a good deal, but you might want to think twice about going in to eat - try Sammy's.

I saw Jessica G's review, and dared to try  a medium (12") onion ring pizza  for delivery.  The positive: got to me in 45 minutes instead of the predicted 60 minutes (I was 4 miles away). Everything else was kinda disappointing.  Luke warm and a little squishy except for the outer crust.  And the biggest disappointment was that the sauce was ketchup instead of tomato sauce.  Maybe my fault for not asking "what's on the onion ring pizza?" but I think it's usually okay to assume pizza has tomato sauce, right?

Even so- their cheese pizza might be good ordered in person- but delivery from here is a let down.

I have to admit, by the time I waited at another nearby restaurant almost TWO HOURS for food (and still didn't get it), I would have thought linoleum tasted pretty good.  But Ameritalia did several steps better by serving me a hot, delicious, greasy slice of pizza.

They have a ton of pies out and ready to serve, including the standard cheese-and-pepperoni and the not-so-standard cheesy-onion ring pizza.  Slices are a couple bucks - and can be easily folded for quick eating and/or running to the State theater 'cause you're late for a show.  (Not that I would know anything about that...)

Pizza was too greasy, the cheese slid right off the pizza, and they charge you for every little thing. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

Pretty standard pizzeria in the Ithaca Commons that's offerings are similar to its nearby competitors such as Sammy's; they sell pizza, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, baked pasta, wings etc.

Dropped in here for a quick late night pizza slice, the chicken & bacon ranch pizza was surprisingly good as I wasn't expecting much from it. Slice of pizza from any of their gourmet ones was $2.50 if I recall correctly.

Their webpage is supposed to be at http://ameritaliapizze... but I think they're still pretty new and pulling things together since the cashier told me their take out menu pamphlet needs to be updated. For their current menu and deals, use their http://campusfood.com site. Just about every Ithaca restaurant uses it.

It's my go-to for pizza in this town. I'm not saying it's amazing, high quality, artisan pizza. It's the pizza i get when I'm hungry, and it's late, and I'm hungry.

Don't get too complicated here. Don't order an entree, or chicken, or a salad, or a pizza with fancy toppings. Get a plain large pie and you can't go wrong.

Beware the herds of drunk folks around 1am when the bars let out.

Their Cheese pizza is pretty good, but their veggie pizza tasted pretty bad because the broccoli got way over cooked and the tomatoes were in that state where they were not quite cooked and not quite raw. My friend ordered the cheeseburgers and payed a dollar extra to get fries. These fries were actually quite tasty. Overall the place is decent enough that I don't vote against it if my friends want to go here, but I never suggest it. I think Sammy's down the corner is slightly better, and Collegetown Pizza all the way up the hill is even better than both of these places as far as thin crust Pizza goes.

I've only picked up a slice from here a couple of times, but each time I have, the pizza was good.  As a midwesterner, I'm not a big fan of NY style pizza, but Ameritalia is some of the best I've had.  We had a whole pizza delivered once, and it loses something in the transport, but it was still better than many I've had.

1 star because the delivery box remained intact, unlike the pizza which disintegrated in a pool of its own ooze. Even after significant surgery, this pizza was unsalvagable. Bland, greasy...overall a shame.
