I deserved to graze after a long run, so I went to a buffet. Limitless brisket is a big draw for me.
I walked around and observed the grazing trough... lots of items. I stayed on the BBQ and the Asian area for veggies. Here are my thoughts.
Brisket - just fine and tender... but not smokey enough
Collards - WAY too salty
BBQ Baked Beans - just fine
BBQ chicken - yummy
Jalapeno Cheese Corn Muffin - really good
Burrito - pretty tasty, which surprised me
All the Asian selection were as good as a traditional Asian buffet
Desserts - eh, just OK. The bread pudding did the trick for me. Other stuff was barely OK.
Price? $18 + tip on a Tuesday. No line.
Glad I went, but I won't go again.

Finally checked out the crab leg dinner buffet this past Friday, and am still recovering from the meal. Priced at $23.99, one can definitely get their money's worth if you're a fan of crab legs as I easily ate more than 5 plates alone. On top of that, they had a nice variety of foods from paella to beef brisket. Very nice selection and would recommend.
Make sure if you do go to arrive early as the lines get rather long after 6 or 6:30 pm. And be sure to bring some goggles or protective eye wear as it can get messy. Just kidding...or am I?

Another Council Bluffs Casino that has went downhill after taken over by high dollar CEO's and local staff. The place is usually dirty, the rollover rate for employees is 900% higher then the payouts. But they keep expanding and placing ads for slave labor at a awesome rate of 7.25 entry level with a full rectal exam to qualify for the position.

Probably, the best buffet out of all the casinos in Iowa. I think on Fridays they have crab legs, another day there's steak and so on. There's a vast variety of foods to try, from typical American to Asian food. At 25 bucks a person, its priced a bit high (considering you can go to china buffet and pay 10 bucks/person). But the food is definitely worth a try. Conveniently the bathroom is located right across the buffet! Trust me, it'll come in handy.

Gross. Ameristar was smelly, damp and lacking in cool slots. We basically walked in and right back out again, heading to the Horseshoe nearby which we'd been to before and liked.
Yeah, it's a Casino. If you're in the Omaha area, and you're looking for one, choose Ameristar. If you're used to Vegas, you will be astonished at how sloppy the Blackjack dealers are here, though.
The Ameristar buffet has good food but usually expect long lines. I have waited an hour in line on a Tuesday.
Out of all the casino's here, I actually won money at this one. Yeahhhh!!!!
