Review from Chris Y.
These guys are still damn quick, which is the #1 reason that keeps me coming back. I've had a few more rotations and balances done for free by them, which is awesome. Last week, I had a defective tire replaced by them, and it only cost me $13 for the new replacement-insurance. Again, I was in and out of there in no time at all! (under an hour, to be more specific).
For those who care, it looks like they use a Coats 7050EX Rimclamp tire changer and a Hunter Smartweight wheel balancer. Neither are the latest nor the greatest, but they get the job done just fine.2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Tires are one of those expenses that hit you in the back of the head, especially when you have newer cars that require higher end products. The Wife and I came here on separate days for each of our cars, her car is an Acura MDX SUV, mine is an Infiniti G35. I can give you the experiences from the male and female perspective, along with a lesson learned.
WEBSITE
Pretty cool, except it's http://www.discounttir... instead of http://AmericasTire.com. They have a reasonable inventory, the tires are all rated by users, but the star ratings really don't vary much between 3 and 4.5. However, users often seem to review them well if you take the time to read them, and the terminology is explained fairly well so you can nod your head when talking about speed rating etc.. If you play around enough with it, you can see how much of each tire is in stock and you can call ahead before your visit to hold them (I definitely recommend the appointment).
STORE EXPERIENCE
The Wife and I both had tires that were slipping in the rain, we knew they were done. In both cases, the sales rep were friendly, checked the tires, and at least with me he told me that my tires weren't at the wear marks yet and had another 5,000-10,000 miles if I wanted to push them. I appreciated that, more often than not a vendor of a particular item will tell you that you need that item right now. The Wife went in stating that she wanted her tires replaced. I'd note that they didn't have the model I picked for her in stock, but part of that was our fault for not checking first. They gave her a model that was of similar rating and price, and they didn't give her unnecessary pressure or try to upsell her.
They are pretty quick, it took about 35-40 minutes from vehicle drop off to pick up. There's no wi-fi, and the waiting room is a bit of a bore (no TV, and I didn't see coffee). It's not exactly a hot spot in Redwood City, I used the time to go to Radio Shack and Office Depot.
Their warranty package is actually reasonably priced (mine was $20), and you can pick up a free tire gauge. They also rotate the tires for free.
Overall, a good experience. I could give them four and a half stars, but the cost difference between (tire priceX4) and actual cost was just slightly higher than I wanted. Definitely research what you want, confirm the inventory before you go, and schedule an appointment. -

I'm not quite sure where to begin. My very first experience here - rewind to January 2011 - was absolutely great. I needed four new tires and after thorough comparison shopping I went with America's Tire. I was in and out within the same day. 5 stars to Roger for his excellent cutsomer service! I even recommended him to a friend of mine who also ended up purchasing new tires.
This past Saturday (1/28/12) afternoon I got a flat tire. I drove over to America's Tire right away on my spare. WIthin 45 minutes or so they inspected the flat and deemed it irreparable and unfortunately didn't have a new tire for me to leave with that day. They said they'd order a new one and when I asked when they thought it'd arrive they said they would follow up with me on Monday.
Keep in mind that when driving on a spare it's recommended you do not exceed 50mph so I did a lot of traveling on El Camino vs. 101.
On Monday I hadn't received a call yet so I went ahead and called them and was told they would have the tire on Wednesday or Thursday. Wednesday passed and it was Thursday afternoon when I decided to call again asking for an update. They said they weren't sure why the tire wasn't in yet and would need to call the manufacturer. They said they would call me right back and asked for my call back number. About 2 1/2 hours later and no call, it was nearing their closing time, I called once again. They apologized for not calling back (which indicated to me that they forgot) and at that point I was told the tire would be "in tomorrow" which is now today (2/3/12). I thought I would be advised to make an appointment but since it wasn't mentioned I went ahead and asked for one at 11:30am. I specifically asked how long it would take as I would be going during my lunch break and was told it would be completed "within the hour."
This morning at a quarter to 9 I got a call from America's Tire and was told my tire was in. Hallelujah. This person clearly had no idea that I had already made an appointment when I said "I have an appointment for today at 11:30" which made me wonder if my appointment had even been recorded.
I arrived to America's Tire today at 11:30 (ok, maybe 11:34) during my lunch break and when I checked in the gentleman made a comment that he personally picked up my new tire from (I believe) their other location/shop. Did this mean the other location had my tire in stock the entire week and that someone just needed to go and pick it up? Again, this made me wonder. Anyway, I was under the impression that there would be no charge for the new tire because I was still within the 40,000 miles from when I purchased the (flat) tire but apparently I misunderstood and wound up paying $71 for the new tire. This price was pro-rated based on the old tire's remaining tread but not based on what I originally paid for it, rather what the tire costs today. (Hopefully I explained that correctly). So, I sat in the waiting area while the work was to be completed and at 12:25 I looked outside to see that my car was still in the same spot I had originally parked it in when I arrived. A few minutes later someone came into the waiting room to ask me if I still had the keys to my car. NO, I did not still have the keys to my car! They were given to the person I checked in with ONE HOUR AGO! It took 2 people to eventually find my keys and as you can imagine I was pretty irritated at this point. I continued to wait until my car was finally ready and then had to rush back to work.
I have to say that although every person I intereacted with at America's Tire was VERY friendly, it doesn't excuse the lack of organization I experienced this week. I shouldn't have had to follow up with them as many times as I did and when I was there for my service it should have been done "within the hour." The staff just didn't seem to be on the same page with each other and as a customer it was very frustrating. It felt like a "too many cooks in the kitchen" scenario. Do they have someone solely dedicated to following up with their customers on work orders and scheduling appointments? If not, they should. Based on this experience I will have a hard time recommending them to friends in the future. -

Samson was really extraordinary and deserves all the credit for making my experience excellent. I purchased tires about a year ago (15000 miles ago) from America's Tire at the same location and the serviceman was TERRIBLE. Fortunately a manager sorted it out and "saved" the experience, but with guys like Samson, no need for anyone else. Solid professional, well-spoken, attentive, informative, delivered service as promised on time. Wonderful person to deal with

PERFECT. I needed new tires for the car, found what I wanted through Discount Tire (.com) , easy way to find the right tires and a local installer. I made an appointment for Saturday morning, the whole process went better than I've ever experienced. In and out fast, customer service was top notch, from everybody as soon as I walked in the door. This place was busy, but they treated each customer as though they were the only customer. I'm impressed with their high level of professionalism, when the other car needs tire, I know where we're going.
Thank you -

For me when it comes to my Auto mechanics I always prefer to take to dealer, but I've always known America Tires to be the place to take my car for service on my tires , they have always assisted with fixing my flats and nails in tires in the past. And this time I had a flat on my Lexus I knew I needed to get to Americas Tires. I pull up and assisted right away. I've been avoiding the purchase of two new front tires but now it was inevitable. Jason assisted me and gave me all my options and his recommendations. Between him and his manager they got me into a great deal for two new tires and even inspected my spare in truck to ensure that would be safe whenever I will need it in the future . As the service began they offered water a bottle in waiting room, they kept me posted with update on progress and was done within 45 mins. Absolutely love the service here and their expertise. They will always remain the place I come to for any tire services ! Thank you America Tires!!!

No surprise that these guys have high reviews. These guys (Samson, Jeramie and Deshawn) went above the call of duty last night.
My wife found out she had a flat tire after work (2 nails and 1 screw), and to make a long story short we could not use her spare tire. I called these guys after hours (6:10pm) and they actually answered the phone! Not only that, but after explaining our situation were happy to help us out. We got down there about 6:15 and they had us in-and-out in 15 minutes.
The prices are fair, the facility is very clean and the service was awesome. I would definitely recommend these guys and use them again. -
Review from Alisha T.
I've been going to this place for a few years. I bought the repair and replace certificate for my tires and would recommend it to everyone. The certificate is valid for the lifetime of your tires ... ie if you get a flat and your tires are not worn out from normal wear and tear (or if three years haven't passed), they'll repair or replace it for a nominal price. I've gotten two flats since I purchased the tires. The tires were punctured in non-repairable areas, so they replaced the tires for $10-15 each time (without the certificate, I'd have to buy a new tire and pay for all the other associated installment costs). The certificate on the replacement tires are valid for the lifetime of the NEW tire. The certificate has pretty much paid for itself in cost savings.
Make an appointment online or on the phone beforehand. Be smart about when you go. I went this morning (a Saturday) at about 11am. The payment, check-in, and tire replacement process took about an hour. The process would have probably been shorter if I had gone earlier in the morning. During previous visits, I was an idiot and went on a weekend afternoon and waited for two hours. -

Awesome! Had an issue, got the tire replaced super cheap and even got an extended warranty. I didn't have Mr. Gee (Joe?) sell me anything, he told me what was up and how fix it. Money well spent and I won't be going any where else. The best!

The store manager Jeramie Duncan is friendly, courteous, approachable, and most importantly, treats me like a customer with a smiling face. I am a degree engineer and interested in getting certain particular tires with the most recent date codes. Jeramie not only did not mind my preference; he actually spent time calling other stores to get me with the most recent date codes' tires.
David E. is the technician and I asked him with many questions because am a careful and curious person, David did take the time to answer all my questions and also diligently completed the installation in a very professional manner. He even cleaned up my front wheels even though I was only paying the rear ones only.
Both Jeramie and Dave had done an outstanding job to satisfy me as a customer. I will certainly come back again as a happy customer in the near future. -

Twice, I've had a bad experience at this Redwood City branch of America's Tire. Both times involved flat tire repairs. Both were punctures in the center of the tread -- easy to fix. But both times I was told the tires were "too dangerous to repair".
The first time it was because the tread was supposedly too thin. I pointed out that it had not reached the wear bars, and asked the guy to measure it. It was like talking to a tree. So I packed up and went to another outlet where they measured, verified that the tire was indeed still safe, and did the repair.
The second time, they announced that they couldn't find any leak. Sigh. So I pointed out the nail, told them how I had seen it bubbling air when I spritzed it at home, and got a sort of "oh, you mean THAT leak" response. Double sigh. Then, they announced that in any case they wouldn't repair it because it had been repaired previously in another spot. Say what?
If you look at a number of the other reviews here on Yelp about this Redwood City branch, you will see that I'm not the only one who has been told that a tire "cannot be repaired". Might be a coincidence that so many of these irreparable tires seem to turn up at this branch, I suppose; but to some folks it might suggest a lack of good faith in business practices.
BTW, I've bought a TON of tires from America's Tire over the years. Generally had a good experience. This branch is the exception. I think I'll find another place to take my business. -

I called around different tire stores to get quotes for Michelin tires and this place was the cheapest. They also offer discounts on their website (i.e., $70 prepaid Visa card) I even called the place next door which was $40 more per tire. Sears was a rip off ($100 more for a cheaper tire and I will never shop there again.)
We arrived and they mentioned it will take 45 minutes to replace all 4 tires. It was finished as promised.
Only thing that would have been nice is if they cleaned off the hub caps. It looked like it was partially wipes.
Overall pretty good place. -

I've bought lots of sets of tires for sports cars at America's Tire.
The have a 30-day return policy. It may be a store credit.
I bought new tires that were not as perfect as my last tires.
They allowed me to return them and buy the tires I wanted.
Their service is great. When I was in a rush one day they made sure the job was finished on time. Also they have free repairs for all tires even if you didn't buy them there. -

Great customer service from Mark and Jeremy. Mark communication was great even though my tires came late and Mgr. Jeremy went out of his way to pick up my tires at another location early in the morning unfortunetly he hit traffic on his way but redeemed himself by explaining what had happen to my order and was very apologetic about why my tires were late. because they were so nice I even bought 4 tires and wheels CHAOS 6 from them bec. they were so nice and helpful I will still continue my business with them and recommend them highly! 5 stars all the way ,customer service, professionalism ! Great job guys!

First time trying this shop. Made an appointment. Then had to reschedule it for different time on the same day. They said it can be done. So arrived there around 5:30 half hour before they are closing. Their service is pretty fast on a Friday evening. They checked my car, found what needs to be done and suggested what can be done. I'm glad they are not like those pushy sales people wanting you to try out this and that. Very professional and I can see the difference in my car's performance.
I'm glad I bought my Ridee here =) -

I was given great service AND they paid attention to my needs. The store did not have my tire in house so they placed the order BUT that wasn't all....my tire was really in bad shape so they installed a temporary tire for free while my tire was on order. They called me within a few days to remind me about my appointment. I loved their service and I am sure to use them over an over again!!

Initially I gave this place a bad review. But I must take it back now as I'm very impressed with the customer service. My original reason for being here was that my tire got a shard of metal in it and needed to be replaced. Since they didn't have my tire in stock I was quoted a tire that they felt was comparable to what I already had. I was in and out in about 30 min and everyone was very friendly and helpful.
On my way home my low tire pressure light never went off and I noticed I was pulling to the left. And after some investigation I originally thought that my tire had been under inflated and that was causing my car to pull. Well I was wrong my tire was inflated properly but I had over inflated all the others. *side note - I was told to always trust the psi on the tire when it should be the psi on the sticker in the door sill.
Because of the tires not being inflated to what I thought was right and because they hadn't come up with a way for me to get the tire I wanted I gave them a scathing review.
Well America's Tire wouldn't accept this and immediately started contacting me to see what was wrong, why I was unhappy, and if there was something they could do to fix the problem. They helped me out and ordered the tire I wanted and installed it at no charge. All the while they have been courteous and respectful. -

I normally don't review chains but I think is a very well run shop. I needed tires pretty quickly and you can do a lot of it online. I picked tires and made an appointment at this location for two days later. The tires weren't in stock but were available in 24 hours which is a pretty quick turnaround time.
The whole process was a breeze. I walked in about 45 minutes earlier than my appointment because I had somewhere to go and they didn't mind at all. A little bit later, I got a call from them saying that two of my wheels were bent and might need to be changed. The guy on the phone said he recommended that I change all four which would be almost another $400. I thought he was scamming me at first but then when I got there, the guy clarified that I could get two done but the car might not be completely balanced. I asked him how bad the bend was on a scale of 1-10 and he said 3. There was no pressure at all to get that done so I appreciated the honesty, for the most part.
Glad service was quick and easy. My tires were literally bald and there was even a big bubble forming in one of them. Don't wait to get this done peoples! It's dangerous! -

Great service, great prices (like...free. I'm not kidding.) I went here on a recommendation from my brother who's across the country and I was a bit skeptical b/c of the name. (I'm an INFP, what do you expect?)
Being the stickler I am about service, I was pleasantly surprised by their professional attitude and especially when they told me they'd patch up my tire for FREE. I asked them why they did this and they said it was with the hope that customers would be satisfied, and return when they wanted to buy new tires. (makes sense..)
I went on my lunch break and was in and out in less than an hour, but I also made an appointment. I hear that they'll take your car w/o one but no guarantees on how long you'll have to wait. -

Make no mistake about it.
These fools have a game plan with customers... Take mine:
1. Called on Tuesday to order specific yokohama tires but require that they be available on Friday. Period. Guy there at first seemed hesitant then claims it will be there on Friday.
2. Friday- Guy calls me to tell me "NOT IN..." but he will make me an appt on sat to get me "in and out".
3. Saturday - Get there for my appt. The same Idiot ordered the wrong sized tires for my car (even after calling them three times to ensure correct size).
I begin to walk out and the so-called manager is following me into the parking lot as I'm walking out (not creepy or sleezy at all) trying to switch me to "another" tire and that he could get it done in an hour. Just on principal "HELL NO!"
Total score: 4 phone calls, 45 mins, 20 miles driving = Lost a customer.
Very sad cuz I did bring them 4 cars over the last 7 years totaling 3k.
Keepin' it real for the Yelpers! -

I used America's Tire (a.k.a. Discount Tire) in Michigan, Arizona & California and received the same level of service everywhere: fast, professional and courteous.
I went into the Redwood City location to get a flat fixed (for free) and have my tires examined. De'Shawn Lax performed the job fast and professionally. He came out and described everything he did clearly and with precision. I tipped De' Shawn with a box of Red Vines; that's the least I could've done.
My tires are kinda messed up, but I still have about 10K miles on them. They didn't try to push new tires on me, even though I could use them. That means I'll be back in a few months to get my new tires.
America's Tire does a great business and their service is consistent. Someone should do a business case on these guys! -

I've had a slow leak in one of my tires for the past year. Recently it has gotten out of control so after spending everyday making trips to the gas station to fill it with air (Can you believe it costs between .75 - $1.00 for air these days), I decided to bite the bullet and take a trip to America's Tire this morning.
I went 30 minutes after they opened so luckily for me there was only 1 other customer. I was quickly helped and after we took a look at my tire and after hearing my other 3 would soon need replacement (booo, but this I already knew) we went in to the store to see what they had available.
George was very helpful in assesing the best tire to fit my budget and just as we settled on 1 new tire, he quickly remembered that they had received 2 used pirelli tires as a trade in. George offered the 2 used tires to me for the price of 1 new tire, which also included labor.... UMMM YES PUH-LEASE!!! These used tires probably make my old tires still on my car cringe. hehe
It took us about 10 minutes to figure this all out and within another 30 I was out the door on to tackle my next long overdue task (don't you hate those little trackballs in the BB and how they just randomly stop working.)
I have visited this location previously for a car I no longer own and remember receiving great service, but not nearly as pleasant as today. Not just cause of the $ I have saved, but that of course is what we all are in hopes of, but because George didn't try to up-sell me and others greeted me with a welcoming smile.
At the same time, I also overheard another gentleman who came in after me giving praise to another tech that was outside working on his car.
I will def be back when I decide to catch up the other 2 tires to my "newer" tires.Listed in: Auto Services

These guys had my business on two cars (Porsche and BMW). Twice they damaged the rims. They fixed one wheel (using a refabricated rim, not replacing with a new one); I found out about the second one a few days after and they told me it was too late.
If you have a cheap car with entry level or low cost wheels, it's an okay place.
If you care about your wheels and look for good quality service and attention to details, I suggest you go another place (i.e. Redwood General Tire) where they seem to be more cautious. -
Review from Jin Z.
San Francisco, CA
Apparently they repair flat tires for free if you're a first time customer if one of their buddy towing companies refers you, but they'll try their damndest to upsell you on replacement first. The service staff is nice but tend to exaggerate the need for you to replace all of your tires and the prices are a little, um... loose.
The guy who rang me up said tires were really bald, but that wasn't really true since I had done the Lincoln's head penny trick recently and it wasn't like the wear indicators were showing. If it were a place with a lot of rain and snow, I'd agree that I urgently needed the replacements, but c'mon, it's California.
They said that they couldn't just patch the tire since the screw was in the sidewall. I dunno, I've had tires patched before, but I took their word for it and replaced all my tires since I have driven almost 50K on them and I prefer not to have different treads on my tires.
I was quoted something like $420 for Continentals with a 520 treadwear rating, an A traction rating and a B temperature rating. When I showed hesitation, they took down the price by $50. Which apparently was an in-store special for having all four tired changed, but gee, apparently they were ready to gyp me if I hadn't been reluctant.
The service was quick, but when they drove my car out the tires still had the remnants of the stickers on them. So much of the stickers were left that it actually made a papery sound when they drove them. Not very classy.
I think they're a good place to go if you know what you want and what price you want it for beforehand, but I was in there cuz of an unanticipated emergency and, being female, felt like I got ripped off a little even though the staff was nice. -

Been going to this company since 2007 when I was still live in Atlanta (the name there was Discount's Tire), and all I can say is that I'm satisfied. Value wise, you can't beat their pricing and their "life-time" certificate benefits. Speed and quality of work? Service? All are awesome! I came to purchase a set of tire without appointment; no problem. I came in at 3 pm, out by 5 pm and they got a lot of people in the shop at that time. Got an opportunity to see how they're doing the job on my car (sat in front of big window on the waiting room overlooking their work area and my car happened to be done right in front of the window) Boy, they're fast! I felt like I'm watching those NASCAR pit-stop crews on TV.

Review from Delicia S.
Newark, CA
People are nice, prices are reasonable, services are fast (at least they try to be as fast as they can), but the place is "sleazy" if you ask me.
I called to make an appointment to change tires for my car. I made an appointment for the next day since they promised the tires would be in by then. One of the main reasons I went with them was that all the other places couldn't get the tires in in a day. Guess what, I took an hour off from work, drove here, standing around looking at the guy running around, and here came the bad news: "The tires aren't here yet, please come back again tomorrow." I was NOT happy about it especially that one of my tires is actually splitting, I was desperate for new tires!!
Fine, I came back the next day. They got my tires this time, thank god. They asked me to pay first and the total was... $480. That wasn't how I was quoted on the phone! I asked them to show me the break down. Ah, they automatically charged me for their "certificates" on all 4 tires. I told them I don't need them, and the guy was like: "How about I just charge you $30 total for the certificates?" NO THANKS! I found it sleazy & unprofessional that they would automatically put their certificate charges on your bill without even asking for your permission. If I didn't even bother to ask, that's an easy $60 ($15 each tire) extra in their pocket. Even if you wanted the certificates, it looks like they could give you a better deal (the guy was willing to give them to me for 1/2 the price). So what's up with the automatic charges?
I might still come back for tires since they have quick services and good selections on tires with reasonable prices. But if you ever decided to go with this place for your tires, please make sure to check the break down on your bill before you pay anything. If you decide that you want their certificates, don't forget to bargain. -

Great Service.
Great Price.
After going to Discount Tires, America Tire Co's sister company, I have gone out of my way to find this place. They give you life time tire rotation and always tries to save you money. Especially this ATC has amazingly efficient service. I have gone for about 5 visits and everytime it's been bustling with activity. They will stay open later to service you as long as you call in before the closing time.

Mark and the crew at America's Tire in Redwood City fixed my tire problem in record time and with great integrity and professionalism. I had been told by another tire vendor that morning that my car was "all wheel drive' and that I would need to replace all 4 tires ($800!). Mark quickly pointed out that my car was a 4 wheel drive and that only one tire needed to be repaired, he showed me the tire and noted two other defects in the tire, so I chose to purchase just 1 new tire in order to be safe on the road. I am grateful to Mark and the guys at America's Tire for the pride they take in providing excellent service and honest estimates. I respected the responsibility that you can tell they feel knowing that customers are driving on the tires they install. They gave me good and honest advice about my tires in order to keep me and my family safe. I was really impressed with the business model, they had plenty of staff on so the wait was short, but most of all they cared that i drove away with reliable and safe tires.

Thank you very much Americas Tire/Redwood City......
I just got done with Mini of Mountain View who said "tire was not repairable". I do not trust them and decided to take my car to someone who I do trust....
THEY FIXED THE TIRE FOR FREE AND IT WAS NOT PURCHASED FROM THEM OR UNDER ANY WARRANTY.
They have done this before with another car of mine, they are honest and happy to go back.....
Clearly they could have replaced the tire and got away with it, but their ethics are in the right place and have won me over a few times now. -

This place rocks! I'll happily continue to drive from SF to Redwood City just to get my tires done here. -

Great tire place.
First time I went was on a referral from my car service. I needed a tire repair which they did for free and I had not purchased the tire at America's Tire.
Next two times were for new tires which I purchased and was really happy with the price and options offered.
In between have been a couple of repairs which were also all done for no charge as well as a tire rotation with one of my repairs.
Service has always been great. Very fast turn around and all four tires always get serviced.
Love these guys ! ! -

I went to this place to get my tires rotated since it was purchased from them. Excellent customer service and very professional. They were able to rotate my tires and rebalance the wheels within 30 minutes despite their busy schedule...for free! Highly recommended.

I drive a semi-sports car and thus tires are expensive to replace. I purchased tires here on two occasions and it's the best price in the bay area. I'll order my tires by phone and make an appointment for the replacement and rotation. With all the bay area roads in such sad shape, it's worth your while to purchase insurance and get warranty on your tires.
It's literally in and out in less than an hour for two tires. -

I go here because I purchased my tires through the Napa Valley Shop.
I came to this location because it was the closest to me in San Francisco.
Just like the Napa Valley Location, these guys did not disappoint.
Every nice and told me 45 minutes. True to their word, it was done in 45 minutes. -

OK, this has usually been a great place, and up until recently there was NO WAY you could beat their package price for a set of new tires installed and warrantied with free repairs, etc.
However, I did have a less-than-perfect experience there recently with an online appointment (admittedly, with only 2-day lead time...) where I showed up and the 2 tires weren't there yet. Same as a few other people here have experienced.
As a result I went Internet shopping and finally found 2 sources where the price plus the shipping and tax, plus installation at another shop, would be less than America's deal. Note, this was NOT easy, they beat almost everybody on the internet. Then America's guy called me about the appointment and ended up offering to match the price I found if I came back--which I did, it was a good deal and nice of them.Unfortunately it was a bad day for one of their techs and he mounted the (directional) wheels backwards. They fixed this for free, so no hard feelings.
I found that buying from http://onlinetires.com (LA area dealer, cheap ship up here, but +taxes) and getting them installed at the Goodyear place in San Carlos ($20/tire mount/balance last month) saved significant bucks. There was also a dealer in Georgia, http://treadepot.com, that was cheaper, even w. shipping. Note that any of these prices may well have changed by the time you read this, and that they applied to a specific tire, not in general.
