This coffee shop was brilliant. Seriously, it makes you regret Starbucks and Dunkin taking over.
I had a double caramel latte, which had real caramel in it. It tasted DELICIOUS.
I also had the veggie panini, which was delicious. If I lived in Asbury, I would go to this place all the time. It was wonderful. I highly recommend it.
The atmosphere is really good too, and th staff was very friendly. -

The totally free WiFi and selection of communal reading materials makes America's Cup is a great place for to grab a cup of coffee and plop yourself down with a laptop or newspaper. The coffee (hot or iced), tea, and specialty drinks are all very tasty, and the vibe is open and welcoming. It's too bad that the food is somewhat lacking. I've tried their baked goods, desserts and sandwiches, and found them weak in comparison to the drinks. Long story short, I'm far more likely to go there for a caffeine fix or a laptop hookup than a meal.
Worth noting was the weird article I saw posted by the register that bashed soymilk in comparison to dairy milk. Is this a passive-aggressive shot at vegan-friendly Twisted Tree down the street? Calm down guys, there's clearly enough room in town for the both of you. -

Brought my laptop here on a weekday to do work and sip on an iced chai latte. Can't say I was crazy about the chai latte--the flavors were unfortunately lacking--but I did enjoy the atmosphere. Open and airy with natural light--they had the windows open that day. Plenty of tables for individuals or small groups and some counter space. There are some tables right outside as well...close enough to take advantage of that free WiFi! I liked having plenty of space while being able to look out the window and not feel enclosed. They do play music, so it's not entirely quiet, but not a bad place to get some work done. Will try a different drink next time.

So... I have decided to take a drive down to Asbury Park... I happen to really like coffee shops... And anything pumpkin. So when my friend mentioned to me to try the pumpkin latte at America's Cup in Asbury.. I decided this was something to check out.
Let me start off saying that I really enjoy the open atmosphere here... The doors are open, so you can drink your coffee... Plug in to their free wi-fi.. While checking out your local skateboarders, locals, and tons of dogs who live in the neighborhood. I for one, thoroughly enjoy a casual coffee spot to get my work done in. The feeling of being out and also being productive can't be beat.
America's Cup specializes in breakfast, serving up amazing paninis with your choice of filling... Ranging from cheeses, fresh vegetables, nuts and proteins... To local bakery bought bagels and muffins. Their lunches are also amazing.. With home made to order salads with all kinds of fresh local ingredients to choose from.
What I love most about America's Cup however... Is the fact that they roast their own coffee beans. So... If you are as much a freak about coffee as I am, and just as much annoyed about paying 5 bucks a cup to a corporate giant only to get the runs in 20 minutes... then this place is for you.
Check it out if you are on the up and coming Cookman Avenue in Asbury Park, and looking for your caffeine fix. You won't be sorry. -

I am most certainly a fan of America's Cup. I came here for a cup of coffee and a quiet place to study, and I was happily satisfied with both. The cool thing about this place is that it is very open with lots of space. I generally find that coffee shops are cramped with not enough room or tables everywhere you turn but not here. The people at the counter weren't mean but just kind of took my money without saying anything. I guess I am just spoiled by the friendly service at Twisted Tree...

I've patronized this business occasionally ever since it opened. It was usually "hit or mis." Sometimes the place was clean and had good food, and sometimes, not so much...
Unfortunately, the last few times I've visited, it's been a bitter disappointment. And I use the word "bitter" to describe the taste of the coffee. You'd think that a business that roasts their own coffee would have better, but I suppose not here.
Add unto all of the above that the manager (he might even be the owner) is a bit unpleasant or even borderline rude to the customers. There are several other options for good, fresh coffee in Asbury Park these days. Why not explore some of your options and support other Asbury Park business? -

Strolling through Asbury Park one sunday afternoon we decided to stop in to this little shop and had a wonderful cup of joe ... cool little shop and it seems like they had some tasty food too ... although we didn't have any this time.

Real enjoyed my stop at America's Cup. Smooth fresh coffee, great friendly service and a clean restroom. What else could a guy ask for?
Just like AP, this place draws a pretty diverse crowd and that adds to the understated (untraditional coffee house) vibe.
Great job owners. Cheers! -

Great Coffee, very helpful and nice staff, and great food.
We got the french toast with bananas which were amazing with a side of blueberries and the omelet paninis which are great also. I definitely recommend the omelet paninis since you can get a bit creative with the fillings (I recommend bacon, feta, and sun-dried tomatoes). I liked the decor and unlike what one reviewer said I didn't feel it was too cheesy and I loved the giant bags of coffee beans laying around.
I really wish I had a coffee shop of this quality around my house, I would never leave! -

The coffee is good and it's fine for a bagel or other sort of (pre-made) food. I had a panini there, though, that was flat-out disgusting. Not sure if the barista just didn't know what she was doing, or if their food just sucks. Either way, fine for coffee and a quick snack; not recommended for a real meal.
Good place to sit and work, the free wireless bumps it to three stars. -

This place has a lot of regulars which says a lot, including me. When I lived in Asbury, it got to a point where I went there everyday, so I've seen a lot of the place and tried a lot.
Pros: coffee, salads, location, plenty of seating, coffee roasted on-site, fast wifi (with purchase), prices, local people
Cons: Not the healthiest selection of food, though they do have a nice salad bar which is relatively unknown, decor is kind of cheesy but it's bright and airy, annoying New Yorkers in the summer
My experiences-
I've never had a bad coffee. Some people say their coffee is too mild, this is preference. It's not bitter. Christina makes a GREAT cappuccino (foam!!!) and knows the difference between that and a latte. I used to go to Twisted Tree for the healthier fare and more liberal vibe, but hate their coffee, and hard to find a place to sit.
I've eaten their salads which are huge for 6 dollars. My friend always orders the panini and eats the whole thing. I used to go in the morning and would see the employee preparing them, so they are made there, but I think in the winter they don't sell as much and they might sit which would explain the bad taste that someone else wrote about. (No excuses for that, but it happens anywhere.)
I don't know. I like this place. -

I've only been here twice but both times I couldn't stop mentally raving about the coffee :) Very delicious. I ordered the veggie pannini and though it took a little while to cook I was thrilled with its wonderfulness. The pulled pork pannini has been calling my name and I hope to try that soon too. Really nice atmosphere, prices are what you would expect. Both times I was helped by amiable people, I will definitely be returning.

America's Cup serves up freshly roasted coffee in the heart of downtown Asbury Park. Free wireless, comfy seating, and a neighborhood flavor make it a great pit stop when hanging out in Asbury.

I absolutely love Americas Cup. The true heart of Asbury Park. Ross and his staff are always friendly, the coffee is fantastic and even the food and snacks are great. Try the crumbcake!

This is my neighborhood coffee shop and I really love it. Coming from California, I'm often frustrated with the lack of good coffee shops in New Jersey. This place quells all my prior frustration. It's cozy, the coffee is really good, the treats and food selection is great, and it has a nice vibe. The barristas are always really friendly, and my husband and I really like the owner. They also are a great place to find out the happenings around Asbury--their bulletin board always has the big events coming up. Their panini omelets are super yummy--not too healthy, not too unhealthy, and perfect for a Saturday or Sunday morning. It's a great place for a coffee meet up with a friend, or a coffee date, as there is plenty of seating and no blaring music. They also have a really cool roasting machine, and great decorations that also add to the overall ambience. Can you tell I like them? haha
