I think we had the same room as Mike or maybe all their rooms have broken soap dishes. Luckily there was no damp spots in the bead? Eek!!

Our room was actually fine for the money we spent but this place gets one star for trying to pull some shady business on me yesterday. Anticipating sold-out conditions for a big concert night at the Shoreline, I purchased two rooms through Priceline a couple months ago.

When the first members of our party showed up and tried to check in, they were told that they had overbooked the place and would need to stay at another "Best Value Inn" 13 mile away in Milpitas! However, my friend who dealt with the innkeeper asked some pointed questions and ultimately discovered that they had not overbooked but rather were colluding with the other, less popular motel by sending them their costumers to maximize their overall take for the evening.

This alone is reason enough to never go back to this place. There are plenty of other comparably-priced motels near the Shoreline.

Decent hotel/motel for the money.  Queen bed, TV, microwave, mini-fridge all included for $70.40 per night mid-week AFTER taxes.  Cleaner and more well-kept than many of the budget hotels on the El Camino Real between Mountain View and Redwood City.

Minor problems with our room:  broken soap dish in the tub; only one set of towels (had to walk down to the front office to get more); damp spot in center of mattress that was probably water.....seemed like perhaps the maid had tried to clean a spill before we checked in--anyway, it was not in a spot that we touched while sleeping so it didn't bother us.  

On the plus side:  Cheap; clean; plenty of parking; excellent Italian restaurant right across the street (Frankies, Johnnys, & Luigis Too!).
