Review from Penny S.
Spend about five days on the road. Try to find a hotel with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom and no odd smell. Not as easy as you'd think.
Enter: America's Best Value Inn. A person could have lived in that room as an apartment. Fridge, microwave, ironing board with iron, hair dryer, huge desk and dresser, big bathroom and vanity and yes - comfortable beds.
Check in was quick and painless, the price was right (around $50 a night) and the view upon waking was pretty much freakin' amazing. Oh and also, there was a Bears flag hanging in front of the office door. If I ever find myself back in Glenwood Springs, and I had better, it will be the place to stay. -

For a motel there really wasn't that much to complain about. the beds were super comfy and the sheets looked clean. The bathroom and towels were clean, which is always a plus.
Only complaint about our room - #116 - was that at that end of the motel there's a 2nd floor and you could hear everything that was going on upstairs. -

It was nice and clean and a-OK in my book. It didn't wow me, but when does a motel really do that? :)
For what this place is - a motel off a highway - yes, it is a value (relatively speaking in the summer - which is high season I think - we paid $132 for the deluxe two queen). It is extremely clean and well cared for. Just look at the motels on either side of it for a clear indication of that (at least from the outside). Service was fine. They let us check in a half hour early since our room was ready, but they also knocked on our door an hour before check out to see if we left - a personal pet peeve of mine!
The place worked for one night. However, we were in room 116 and around room 115 there starts a 2nd floor of rooms. This kind of sucked since the staircase was right outside our room and we got a lot of noise from the people above us/on stairs. No noise from the highway that I heard, though. It was also a pretty tight fit with two beds, a table and two chairs, armoire, dresser (with old style 27" TV on it) and bathroom (with sinks outside the toilet/shower area). With 3 of us and our stuff it seemed packed!
I thought it was a decent place, but if I am in Glenwood again I definitely will pay more and just go to a hotel in town by the pool. This one was a bit too far (1.5m) and a bit to tight for my tastes.
Other items of note: Free Wi-fi (that worked well). No pool/no hot tub. About 1.5m from the Hot Springs and maybe .5m from the Caverns.
If you just need a place to sleep and shower, this is perfect!
