I wish that Yelp would allow half-stars too because this motel is somewhere between 3-1/2 and 4 stars.  With my husband back in Chicago, my summer detail in Washington, DC ended (I am a Federal Employee), my beagle Trixie and I decided it was time for a little weekend away.  So I packed a suitcase, Trixie's cushion, kennel, and her favorite toys (oh, yes, and the poop bags) and drove up to Gettysburg.

I will say that I was looking for something a little more substantial, hotel-wise, perhaps with a bar, full restaurant, etc.  But in making last-minute reservations, I had to find one that accepted pets.  I was also a bit concerned about this motel because many of this chain's locations do not have good reviews.  But in checking on-line reviews on http://www.travelocity... and http://www.tripadvisor... I found good ratings.

Actually, this place is a very nice motel and is very close to the area points of interest.  The rooms were very clean and that is the most important thing.  They also have a nice outdoor pool.   The rooms have high-speed internet, in-room hairdryers, iron with ironing boards, and satellite TV.  

The internet connection is very important to me.  Sometimes I would like to leave the laptop at home but I am profoundly deaf and this is a primary means of communication with me, especially when I am out traveling.  I wanted to contact my husband and let him know I arrived safely.  I do talk and lip-read though and the hotel clerks were very helpful.

This motel is a very good bargain and is nice and clean.   If you are visiting Gettysburg and are on a budget, or have your pet with you, I recommend you use this place.
