5 people working there all chatting away simply bc there was absolutely no one in the store.  However, I was immediately greeted, given a form to fill in and sent to the back to see the optometrist after checking my eyes first.  Even though I booked online for an appt there was no one but one person ahead of me.  only downfall with the online appt maker was that there should be an email or phone reminder ( I forgot whether my appt time was 11 or 1130).  No pressure on getting glasses or contacts. I got both rx for $69.

I do agree with Jason A. that I've booked the earliest appointment possible, the 9:15 AM and for whatever reason, the doctor doesn't arrive until 9:30-9:45 AM.  I've had this happen a few times.  However, I will have already gone through the pre-exam and I'm just sitting there waiting for the doctor to be on time.  She is nice so I often just overlook the tardiness.

Once I am in the exam rooms, the staff and doctor at this location are attentive and knowledgeable.  I haven't had bad service here.

Another thing I like about America's Best as a whole is that since I don't have vision insurance, I purchase the multi-year plan which includes features that cover my needs.  I go get eye exams as often as I want and discounts on contacts.  So crazy me, I go get an eye exam every quarter to make use of my plan *nervous laugh* don't judge!  Also since I use a different brand per eye (odd I know, but for good reason!), the discount on contacts is actually useful for me since I can't take advantage of ordering online for a cheaper price.

I am not returning to this location.

I had a 1 pm follow-up appointment scheduled.  I arrived at 12:50 and didn't go in for my exam until 1:40.  That's right, I waited almost an hour for an appointment that took 3 minutes.  Wanna know why?  Because the office manager, an apathetic and bored dude that really should be working at Foot Locker or something, routinely sends walk-ins ahead of those with appointments.  Even the optometrist, an outside contractor, complained about his management style.  She also suggested that I complain to corporate and was honest about how speaking directly to him wouldn't be much help.

But I did speak to him and she was right.  This dude was bored as hell, didn't make eye contact with me, and kept responding by saying that all doctors offices have long wait times and that I should always expect to wait for so long.  Am I an idiot?  It was my second doctor's office visit of the day and the first place I went to (a dentist) saw me within 10 minutes of my appointment time).  We shouldn't become accustomed to bad service, we shouldn't expect to receive less that what we pay for.

Here's the kicker - in addition to being completely disregarded in terms of having made an appointment, when I told the office manager that he wasn't managing the place well, that people who make appointments deserve to be seen at the times that they schedule, and that I hoped that he was hearing me, his response was, "Oh yes, I'm hearing you - I have no choice but to."  All while looking away from me.  Seriously, this office manager is 100% the reason that that particular branch is run so poorly and I have no idea where his managerial skills come into play, other than counting money, filling out paperwork, and waiting to go home.

America's Best has great deals, its just as cheap as having insurance, but I really don't recommend this branch.  Providing good patient care isn't important to them and my talk with the manager proved that.  Also, the parking options are terrible.

The glasses selection isn't very good and it took forever to receive my contact lenses.

I have dry eyes and the doctor told me not to worry about it. ummm what?

I received little to no help in choosing frames and when I actually got my glasses, my lenses were super thick (allegedly they gave me the thinnest they could, but my lenses that were 2 years old were MUCH thinner than these) and really were unflattering with the frames.  I specifically asked if the frames were ok for my prescription and the lady said yes. WRONG. they looked awful. I got two pairs of glasses. One pair didn't even fit anymore! the stems were too short and they said they could not do anything about it. they kept putting them in some machine but it didn't help at all. To prove they were not always that way, they got the sample frames which fit my face fine.

what a waste of time and money.  I will never come back here.

This was my first visit. Upon arriving I was quickly greeted by the receptionist, but after that I might have well not existed. There were a half dozen employees walking around joking and not one asked if I needed any help. The office manager several times walked by and just stared at me not once saying good morning. I had a 9:15 appt. The dr doesnt arrive til 9:30 and at 9:45 I still had yet to even have a "pre-exam." The woman who performed the pre-exam was very pleasant a nice change from the initial impressions.

The optometrist I saw was Amy. She was very pleasant and more thorough than I've experienced elsewhere. Very pleased at my experience with her. The other optometrist also seemed to be very pleasant and I'm sure good as well.

After all was said and done, I was pleased with my experience. However, the "front end staff" and corresponding lack of service are a huge drag on the overall quality of the business, thus the 3 stars. If they had better front end staff/office manager and a little better selection of frames I'd certainly rate this business higher.

The customer service was terrible. When purchasing the glasses, we had to wait an extra 15 minutes because the woman couldn't find a charge in the computer and never got up to ask someone or call someone. She just kept asking us what we thought the charge in the computer would be named. I also paid $10 extra to have them shipped out. I was called twice about 2 weeks after I purchased them and they were letting me know that I could pick them up. I told them that I paid extra to have them shipped out. Finally someone called and got my address for the third time and were shipped out. I ended up getting the glasses a month and a half after I purchased them. I gave them a two instead of one because they are nice glasses, though. Just don't expect too much help from the staff.

I have to say that this is the worst location and not worth the deal that they have. They are incredibly unorganized-Sandra the receptionist was extremely rude and inconsiderable. My trial contacts were never ordered and there is so much miscommunication at this location its disgusting. I will never return to this place even if they were giving contacts out for free. It's incredibly frustrating to have to deal with such poor service.

After reading such negative reviews of this America's Best location, I booked an appointment anyway because I had been to an America's Best in the past and I know that they have really good deals.  I got an eye exam for contacts and eye glasses.  I didn't purchase my glasses here because the selection wasn't what I was looking for, so I just got a copy of my prescription and took it elsewhere. All I really wanted was an eye exam and I signed up for the $99 deal where you can get free eye exams for 3 years.  Everyone was friendly and helpful.  I don't really have any complaints about this place.  My needs were met.

horrible service. took my girlfriend and when checking out, they tried to tack on a bunch of charges without even asking like thinner lenses, anti glare coating etc. after i said no to everything, the worker tried to ignore me and kept saying she should get them. but she said no. then afterward the worker who was some old guy seemed pissed off and overcharged her an extra $15 for nothing. i'm going back to argue with them
