Yes, they messed up with my windows, it happens. But how they handled my mishaps is what is more significant to me. The amount of time Lance spent to apologize, get my feedback and execute a process so it won't happen to other customers is commendable! And I am very pleased to be a part of it. American Vision Windows, through Lance, had demonstrated that the company cares, and this warrants five stars to me!

I'm a second-time customer with AVW, and once again I am very happy with their product offerings, customer service and competitive prices.
At my previous house, AVW installed seven high quality plantation shutters six years ago. I have recently rented out that house, but the shutters are still as beautiful as when they were first installed. I have had zero problems with them.
At my new house, AVW retrofitted six windows and two 8ft high patio sliders. The brand they used is PlyGem. I have not heard this brand before, but their products seem to be of good quality. The windows are all triple-pane with argon gas, and the patio sliders are dual-pane with French rails. Very beautiful.
I had a few problems with the patio sliders -- small scratch on glass, frames rub, dirty spots. AVW was very responsive in dealing with the problem. They contacted the manufacturer PlyGem and the scratched glass panel was quickly replaced. AVW sent people to my house to clean the dirty spots. I'm still working with manufacturer in fixing the frames rub issue since this issue only exhibits when the outside temp is warm. PlyGem is very responsive as well.
I do appreciate the help of salesperson Ernie and General Manager Jim at AVW for putting together a great offer which made it affordable for me. I highly recommend AVW. -

this is the greatest home improvement company that i have come across and worked with in all of california. from start to finish everyone that works for their company is genuinly polite and loves to make their customers extremly comfortable and happy. when you call in to the office at first no matter who answers the phone, they are always very polite. then when the sales representative comes out to your home, they are so informative and knowledgable, you just cant say no to purchasing any of the products that they offer. which includes not only windows but they also have gargage doors, window coverings, all types of doors for your home, and even solar panel options. once you purchase your products a very nice gentleman comes out to your home to do a final measure. then you have to wait for the items to be ordered and then come in, which you then get a phone call to schedule your installation. they then come out to your home for the final step, which is the installation. even all of the installers are there to make the customer happy and make sure that the process goes smooth. lastly the warrenty that they offer for there products is great and you couldnt ask for more.

Darren and his crew put new windows in my duplex in 5 hours, including two sliding doors. AVW was on time, cleaned up, and the windows looked beautiful. No charge for install & no sales tax...made it affordable. We had a POSITIVE experience from the estimate to finish.

I am NOT surprised to come to Yelp and see that AVW has 2.5 stars. In fact, I'm SHOCKED they have that extra half star.
AVW will come to your home, talk the talk, take your money, install your windows and never return - which is what you want, right? WRONG. If they say they'll come back and replace something, THEY SHOULD COME BACK AND REPLACE IT.
They did an OK job on the windows, but, perhaps OBVIOUSLY, do not have them install any doors. We have had MAJOR issues with a screen on the door and they have flaked TWICE now to come remove it and refund us, so we still have a faulty and dangerous screen on our door.
Yes, they guarantee these windows for life but now I'm seriously doubting if they'd ever come out to fix or replace them given they still haven't come to fix the door.
Too bad we didn't check Yelp before paying them THOUSANDS of dollars. Maybe this review will save you! -

They did a marvelous job on our windows plus patio door and in just one day at that! The consultation was free and they charged us a fraction of the price that their competitor quoted us. We were never pressured to make a decision to go with them which was highly appreciated. On top of it, we received a free iPod (to add to our collection. I guess you could never have too many iPods).
Their work is clean, fast, and professional. Recently the screen to our patio door tore because my daughter likes to poke at it while our dog is up against it. I called to have it repaired which they were more than happy to do so. But the downside is that we have to fork out 85Bucks for it. Oh well...nothing in life is free....at least they do a good job. -

American Vision Windows sets the bar high for an overall great customer experience. After hearing their ads on KCBS radio, I set up a consultation for a free estimate. Jaime showed up right on time, was very respectful and made knowledgeable suggestions on what window replacements to prioritize to save us money and improve the appearance of our home. His quote was competitive, and he did not push us into the sale.
His subsequent communication was very appropriate, and he gave us time to finish completing several other estimates. When we decided to move forward with American Vision, the installation crew was professional, clean, and did an immaculate job. I have no complaints, and I could not be more pleased with their work.
Given my own experience working with Jaime, the previous reviewer's negative account of his experience sounds a bit suspect to me. -

American Vision Windows installed my in-laws windows and doors. Not sure the name of the product line but the representative Robert did a excellent job reviewing and customizing everything to our liking. We had a few other companies also bid on the job and to our surprise we were able to get a triple pane window from them at the same price as some of the dual pane quotes. The installers did an awesome job and we will surely use them again!

Had plantation blinds put in the living room and spare bedroom. Sorry to give non positive feedback, but I don't want another homeowner to experience the same. Sorry but it's true.
1. It took over six months and TWO separate measurements of our windows and they still got it wrong.
2. First attempt, the installer was here till 11 pm. trying to hack the blinds into place because the initial measurement was wrong, so they ordered a different size.
3. when after the first mishap, they tried to reorder the correct blinds and they didn't have any. so wait for months for an order from the factory in china.
True, they did eventually come out and install the correct blinds and they do look good, but it was a headache.
Just being honest. -

I was very happy with AVW. Fast, courteous and a great price. This was for a rental unit and my renters were also happy at how fast the job went. They actually beat Sears and Home depot. One of the windows leaked, but they did come out and repair it after about a week. I worked with Nick, he was very helpful 877-737-7199
