Interesting. I was writing a review for a Tavern, commenting on the valet service and it reminded me of my experience with American Valet. To say the least, it was NOT pleasant. My wife went to Good Sam to pick up my terminally ill BIL, who was going home. She decided to use the Valet, as she would have her hands full with BIL. Obviously, it was a very emotional, busy time for us. The very next morning, after driving BIL directly to his home, parking in the driveway and spending the night, we come out to the car and find the hood dented in, as though there was a slow-speed impact, but enough to buckle the hood slightly. The only person other than the wife to drive the car, was the valet at Good Sam. Unfortunately, we lost the ticket, did not inspect the car after picking up from the valet and were unaware of the damage. When we noticed it, I contacted American Valet, who initially seemed very concerned and sent me a claim form, which I completed and returned. About a week later, I get a letter from them telling me that their "investigator" found no merit to our claim, so it was denied. I questioned that the investigator was not at the scene, did not ask me any questions and I doubt did any investigating beyound where was the check box for "deny this claim."
Honestly, this experience put me off from using any valet service anywhere and most especially any associated with American Valet Company.
I wish yelp would offer negative stars, because if they did, American Valet would definitely be a -5 stars for me.

Avoid these folks at all costs. I've seen the valets run stop signs, jump curbs and nearly wreck into cars and pedestrians while retrieving cars. I understand they may be in a hurry but no need to risk lives.
