If you have a Toyota, the Service Dept is TOP NOTCH! I have been going to American Toyota for since 2001 and found that they keep my cars going and are prompt at letting me know of deals and specials. I have never been disappointed with American Toyota.

Purchased my Prius from them and regret it!
1. Promised to sell me the car for $17,000: Sold it for $19,000
2. Promised me 5% financing: Gave me 18% financing. Refinanced through my bank 30 days later for 8%.
3. Promised to detail my car since it was filthy when I bought it: Still waiting 2 years later.
4. Promised to get me another smart key since it was supposed to come with 2 but only came with 1 (and that one was falling apart): Still waiting 2 years later. Said it would cost $400 to get it from them. Ordered it from eBay for $70 and programmed it myself - works perfect.
Contacted them several times to get these issues resolved and I was told too bad. Partly my fault for not thoroughly reading the contract word for word, I should have read what they snuck into the actual contract and not trusted it to be the same as what was on the sales slip from our negotiations. -

Just returned from my 10000 mile "toyota care" on my 2012 sienna at american toyota. It was supposed to be a oil and filter change ,tire rotation ,fluid check ,and overall check over. I had marked tires to see if they really got rotated. When it was finished and i was told everything was done---no rotation! When i called their attention to it,they took it back and did it and also got oily footprints on carpet and door sill. I don't know if the oil was changed ,have to check it . I can't trust them. No more service work from me.

We bought a new Prius from this dealership last month and had the best experience. The sales person was fabulous, he was very attuned to our needs and answered all our questions in a very friendly, polite manner. When we had signed the documents, it turned out the car we were buying was a slightly different model from the one we drive tested and picked (no navigation), which the sales person was not aware of till we almost drove away. When we all discovered the difference, they handled it in a great way with all the eagerness to make their customers hsppy, and we drive away with the car we wanted without paying the difference. I would buy another car from this dealership and highly recommend it!

An absolutely awful Dealership. Crap staff with zero phone etiquette at all. They have zero concept of good communication and are lousy at setting service expectations. The dealership frequently stocks out of parts needed for recalls. Service is ridiculously expensive. Sales is awful and they are masters at playing crappy head games. I've had much better experiences with Garcia Honda and Perfection Honda. Sometimes what makes the difference on what car to go with is the dealer and not the car. 2nd worse in town behind Univers(h)it(t)y VW.

I never set foot in this place in my life, yet my Prius while passing through New Mexico died on me demanding I take it into the nearest Toyota dealership immediately or else die in a fire on the freeway so I did.
Now my situation was dire. I had to keep going and had no time for this bullsh*t. I had my reasons... and seriously... I don't know WTF happened... but people I never met in my life before saw this on my face or in my situation and a dire repair that should of taken anywhere from 6 hours to 2 weeks took FORTY FIVE MINUTES. I am NOT joking. 45 MINUTES.
I've been alive on this planet just over 45 years and I've never seen service and respect like this from a dealership and repair department since I can remember such honesty and respect coming from reputable repair shops in the 70's.
Richard Rezzelle was our savior this day and you can rest assured our next vehicle will most likely be a Toyota because of this.
GO THERE OR FAIL.
