let's see, how can I put this...
THE COOLEST FUCKING PLACE TO BUY ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING IN/NEAR MILWAUKEE!!!!
...fucking period.
toys, microscopes, skeletons, army shit, science shit, surplus, edumacational stuff, gadgets, pieces, parts....this is the place!
right next door to geek central World of Wonders Comics. hehehehe, love it.
This place helped get me through college, for real. I got so many sculpture supplies here. Also, shiny stickers, bike lights, telescopes, military surplus things, bong making supplies... I wish I could move in.
This place is like Big Lots for mechanical engineers. You never know what you'll find here, and you probably wont need most of it, but still...this is a great place to kill some time on a Saturday afternoon.
This store is dangerous. I live very close to it and it calls me. Many odd things in there that I had no idea that I needed or that even existed. It's a fun place to get lost in... you never know what you'll find. Good things I have found include Halloween decorations (my pumpkin leaf bags, a bag of the big ones for $1), Big spools of industrial A&E sewing thread for $1.50, beautiful bottles that I use as vases for under $1 + many more!.... the best thing is in the summer they have a tent sale with amazing deals. One year I bought a case of really mod Christmas tins that I used to put some snack mix in that I made. Years later people ask me where I found those cool tins (and they costed me .25 each!). This place is amazing!
Just got my Airzooka, drinking bird and other miscellaneous goodies with the kids and escaped for under $25. I will be using this store for resources when I begin teaching in the fall. I can't wait until my boys are older and want to go for fun.
The most unique store in Milwaukee, if not the entire planet. A tinkerers paradise, this is the place to go if you're looking for a replacement part for your telescope, a translucent model of the human heart, a machine for making fake fog, a robotic beetle, or really anything else you can think of. I've been coming to this store since I was a kid, and it has only retained its charm and vast selection through the years.
