Went on a trip today on the Merced River....Our guide Kabaya was AMAZING. We had such a blast. I have been on three river rafting trips previously, all on the American River, but this by far was THE BEST!!!
I'm planning to go back in May/June 2012 because apparently during those months the river is higher and the rapids are better......which is going to be even more amazing than this time. I cannot wait!!
We had to get meet up at 9am, turn in our waivers and head up the road about 20 minutes to get to our rafts. Lunch was provided- turkey, veggie or roast beef sandwiches (with lettuce, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and pickles, mayo and mustard) and an apple, trail mix/cookies, and water. Just enough to fill you up to finish the trip but not too filling to make you sick after getting back onto the river.
At the end of the trip, the vans were there to meet us with ice cold drinks :o) Seriously cannot wait until next year!!
