Service
I called their call center to set up an appointment and the lady on the phone was very nice. She even gave me $300 toward any service and an additional $100 if I went in for a consultation same or next day (which I did).
I went in today for my consultation and met with Lisa. She is one of the nicest people I've ever met. They greet you immediately. I only waited about 10min. She even squeezed me in for a treatment even though she had another appointment. Also, her machine wasn't working quite as strong so she threw in my first one free even though it started working better after a few minutes.
Price
I got the deal of a lifetime today! So, I know they have four $, and this is true BUT before all the discounts and deals they have. One Microdermabrasion is regularly $154. The package of 5 is $616. They have a buy one get one free deal going on right now so for 10 Microderms minus my $400 from the call center I only paid $216! That's only about $21 each. Freakin' amazing!
Also, it seems like they're willing to work with you on prices and financing.
Cons
The only negative thing I have to say is about parking. You can valet below the building, but it's kinda pricey. I think there's also metered parking on the main street. I thought you could park in the residential area, but apparently it's permit parking only. I got a $64 ticket : / I guess even with the ticket it was still a pretty awesome deal. -

WASTE OF TIME, DO NOT BE SUCKERED BY THIS PLACE IF YOU VALUE YOUR TIME...

Short versions - Reasons to avoid wasting your time:
1. They outsource the calling; who you speak to doesn't really know what type of service or experience you will have at all. They hire very charismatic personalities that sounds like a girl's bff on the phone
2. Very unprofessional about appt time and even basic staffing
3. Even the parking attendent for the building told me how horrible they were when I said where I was going... Apparently the doctor doesn't show up and people leave pissed often
4. They do not reimburse/validate parking - I heard another client complain to the one person (could be nurse) I saw in the reception area. I paid $6 for 45 minutes
5. Business model seems to run like a scam. Get enough people in the door and some will take the bait. DON'T BE THE SUCKER
6. It's your skin and your body... Be very careful choosing a place that's well staffed, supervised and has a reputation of great work. A few hundred dollars off is not enough to take the risk with a place that's unprofessional, understaffed, and frankly, looks slightly ghetto.
Long version of my experience:
- Someone called me and I agreed to a free consultation, mentioning busy work schedule and she promised I'll be in and out with a 9am appt. Then she emails that they have to move my appt to 10am. I reply via email that I need to cancel.
- I get a call the day of appt asking why I didn't show up .... ????
- 2 days later another woman calls giving me $100 off whatever service if I go back, I take the bait. I make sure I get a 9am appt.
- I walk in at 8:55am, someone gives me paperwork and goes in with another client and there no on else at the reception area.
- I left at 9:45am and took my paperwork with me. I hope they lose my number...because the next girl that calls is not going to talk to a happy camper.
I only yelp if I feel passionate enough about something.. This one stinks. -

I have been an American Laser Skincare patient for the past two years. I signed up for the package in Santa Monica and continued to receive my treatments while I was at Dallas last year for a year-long internship. The office has been very nice and the nurses who have done my laser treatments have been nice as well. The reason I am giving them a 3-star rating is their poor organizational skills in terms of keeping a calendar. I have been trying to re-schedule an appointment for weeks, and after 4 phone calls, I was so happy to get an appointment 2-3 weeks in advance. However, I just called today to confirm my appointment, and it turns out that I was never in their calendar in the first place (even though I spoke with someone in their office a few weeks ago). And apparently they are booked for the next month, so I have been placed on their "cancellation list..." Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed. For my future laser hair packages, I would rather pay a private MD office who has an organized appointment system and can accommodate to the schedules of woking professionals like myself, than to continue being a patient at the large corporate company of American Laser Company. I am a very disappointed customer.

I agree with the lady above. They really need to work on their customer service skills.
I have been to their Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey and their Torrance locations.
This company was started by a Scam Artist and they're still scamming customers left and right.
If you search http://ComplaintsBoard... or any other place you will see customers all across the country who have been ripped off by this company and even burned by their lasers such as myself and etc.
BTW, their Raffle is also a scam. Everybody wins their 3rd place prize. In California it is against the law to hold a "Raffle Scam". Also they are supposed to have a Doctor on premises when doing Laser Procedures and they didn't.
Laser burn is one of the worst burns you can have. It took me 1 1/2 months to heal and I believe it damaged me permanently. I already spent over $2,000 and the bill has been paid but I'm scared to go back. -

I think that they do a good job, and i love most of the staff there. I've gotten 1 or 2 nurses who are a little crabby, but for the most part the staff is friendly and helpful. I have been going to this location for almost a year now, and I haven't had too many problems. I've had laser done all over and have great results. I have been getting treatments from ALC for the last 5 years and love it!
