The last pharmacy compounded kitty medication that my kitty seemed to hate. To be fair, it smelled really bad to me, too. Now that we are with AHS, we get fish flavored meds that my cat finds delicious - AND they never act like having to call to get the vet to refill script is a nuisance.
Kitty and mommy are happy, AHS is awesome! -

I've been to AHS many times for my pets. They make custom (aka compounded) medications for veterinary (and human) purposes. The staff has been great every time and the actual transactions have been quick and easy.
One time the pharmacist told me as an aside that he made some very expensive skin care products for a local celebrity dermatologist, in her branded bottles -- confirming I could get the same product at AHS cheaper. -

I'm not sure if its worth reviewing this place, because I think you would only use it if your doctor or vet sent an rx to it, so you would not have a say in the matter. Still, they handled our bird's chelation perfectly, which is a very rare, weird prescription to carry out for a bird. They were helpful with figuring out how to administer it, and they always remembered us when we called!
And just to clarify, a "compounding pharmacy" does not specialize in creating liquid prescriptions. They generally compound prescriptions in nonstandard ways. I'm sure they spend a lot of time turning out powder/pill prescriptions in liquid form because that would be a common thing to do for both children and animals, but our chelation came as a powder. In fact, they could have made it a liquid but they didn't because it was more stable in power form. -

David Mohaber and his team provide excellent, customized customer service with the personal touch that you will not receive from CVS, Rite Aid or any other large pharmacy. Wait time is fast and they will have prescriptions ready for you as soon as they can. Our whole family uses the pharmacy and we all couldn't be happier. I would recommend AHS Pharmacy to anyone who would like to be part of a caring, family oriented, efficient, reliable pharmacy.

This is a compounding pharmacy where I receive courteous service. They also offer veterinary medications and discontinued meds. Located at the corner of Palms & Overland.

I am not sure how my review got erased, but here it is again. This was the worst experience I ever had at a pharmacy. I felt very uncomfortable and the fellow was immature and could not help giggling about my bio-identical hormone prescription. I would not go here or recommend this place. And the parking lot is also too small.

This place is great. They will compound just about anything (meaning they turn a prescription into a liquid). I have a cat who spits out every pill I've ever tried to give her, and she has to be on meds daily. I got a prescription from my vet and took it here. They turned it into a fish-flavored liquid and I just give her a little through a syringe every day. Now it's totally easy to give my cat her meds and she likes the flavor. This place has made dealing with my cat SO much easier, and they're always so friendly, helpful, and fast.

It's hard making animals take medications, but it's a little easier to squirt antibiotics down my cat's throat when it's flavored with "triple fish" by the pharmacist at American Health Solutions. Definite thumbs-up!
