Five stars are not enough stars for Kevin and American Hauling!!! Here it is, two days before my big move to Sacramento, and I have a horrible sleeper/sofa and a bunch of old crap and debris in my backyard that I need to get rid of.
I called Kevin at 2:30 this afternoon, and he was booked for the rest of the day. Even so, he offered to take his time after work to come by and give me an estimate. When his last job canceled, he called me up and told me that he could do my job today--he was here within 20 minutes and he and his guys finished the job in less than 1 hour!!
Kevin's rates were very reasonable, he and his guys worked efficiently and were very conscientious and polite, and Kevin was EXTREMELY patient with me as I asked him for advice and made decisions about what to get rid of. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful, family owned business. They took a huge load of worry off my mind by taking a huge load of junk out of my house and yard!!! -

Gotta make sure peeps know the 5 stars still stands currently.
Hubby slayed the tree and the branches were filling up the backyard. Called Kevin Monday who said he was super busy that week but would try to squeeze me in Wednesday or Saturday. Well, got a call from him Tuesday morning letting me know he had some time that afternoon if that worked. Yup....that worked.
At my request he even took up the old outdoor carpet that had almost composted itself so that I can look at my dirt and consider the fabulous landscaping that I'll never get to....but a girl can dream, can't she?
I did not know that he breaks up concrete & does other demo stuff until I came back to Yelp just now and read up on it. I'll definitely call him next time I'm in the market for that type of service.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I never met Kevin; I've never seen him or his crew; and I'd never done business with him before yesterday.
When I called him yesterday with a small job, I was at work. After we talked a little while, he came by my house, took the junk off my front sidewalk, and hauled it away, and then texted me with his email address so I could Paypal payment to him. Now that's trust!
He's a little expensive, but I'd use him again in a hot second after he did that. The whole thing was done about 45 minutes after I made the first call. -

I called them Monday about a small job. The guy said he could be at my house on Wednesday at 8:30AM. He showed up at 8:20 and he (and his helpers) were gone at 8:39 (including chit chat time). He had a large truck, so I am sure that they just keep adding to it all day at various jobs. That keeps the cost to everyone down.
The cost was $150. The materials hauled off were about 12 feet of kitchen counter, including cabinets, old timey tile, a cast iron sink . Also a door, a small quantity of concrete, and wood scraps. All the metals get recycled.
Communication was clear and the job was simple. That's all I needed.
They won't accept hazmat, btw. There are other companies who do that. The only dump for hazmat (asbestosy stuff) is in Pacheco Pass. Hazmat's a specialty thing, and I knew that. Just wanted to put that out there. -

Needed a mattress picked up before my new one got delivered. Called that morning and they were there in and out before 1 PM with a great price. I'll definitely use these guys again when the need arises.

When it comes to war, the creme de la creme is the US Marine Corps. On land, air or sea, they have a reputation as the fiercest fighting force around. Admiral Nimitz (US Navy) saw the marines in Iwo Jima and quoted, "uncommon valor is a common virtue." General Pershing (US Army) quotes, "The deadliest weapon in the world is a Marine and his rifle."
Well, when it comes to hauling junk.... Kevin is "THE MAN!" You can quote me on that too.
No matter how big or small the job may be... Kevin and his 18 foot dumpster truck will handle it. AND, he will do it for the lowest price around. The money I saved by calling Kevin during the remodel of my house is unfathomable. It took him 2 trips (in his 18 foot dumpster truck) and 2 trips for his buddy (the metal collector) to haul away the enormous amount of junk from the house. I paid waste management double (what I paid Kevin) to rent a single 14 foot dumpster (that smelled like crap and stunk up the entire neighborhood) for a week.
He's fast, efficient, friendly, and will save you BIG BUCKS! -

Kevin returned my call right away and came by about an hour after we talked on the phone to give me an estimate. His fee was very reasonable . He is easy to talk to and very reliable. He offered to come back in the afternoon to do the job. This is my second time using his service and I will definitely call him again next time.

I called Kevin for a quote on hauling some debris from my recent kitchen demolition. He offered to pick up the debris that day but I told him that not all of it was ready to be hauled. He came by within a couple of hours to take a look. He gave me a quote to haul the debris from outside, haul the debris that was still in the kitchen, and also offered to finish the remaining bits of demo for a great price.
Kevin was fantastic on the communication, letting me know ahead of time that he was going to be there earlier than his estimated time. He and his guys were courteous and hardworking. Their work was thorough and efficient, even going the extra mile to sweep up the last bits of dust. My demo-ed kitchen looks fantastic and I can't thank these guys enough.
I'd recommend American Hauling in a heartbeat and plan on calling them for hauling for my next project. -

We called Kevin over the weekend, and he came today to pick up a bunch of stuff we needed to move out of our place. I wholeheartedly agree with all of the glowing recommendations I read before deciding to pick up the phone and give Kevin a call. I very rarely do a review on yelp (to date), and the great experience I had with American Hauling inspired me to add a review.
I never thought having a large amount of junk removed would be such a painless and pleasant experience. Feels fantastic to have it all gone.

I found Kevin of American Hauling on (gasp) Yelp. His location was closest to my address.
We were remodeling the kitchen and had a lot of junk, including old cabinets, countertops, sinks, and a 100 gallon fish tank that nobody wanted, even for free.
We wanted to be done in one day. So with the new cabinet installers still working, I called Kevin. Within 30 minutes, he was at my building with his colleague. 30 more minutes and they were gone. With all my junk!
3 things to say about American Hauling:

All the reviews are true. Kevin and his team are prompt, fast, efficient and hard working. His prices are good value and he's very fair. Paid with my card through Paypal...was super easy.
I hired them to hammer the concrete paving in my back yard and haul it away. They didn't waste any time and were done with the job in a few hours. Now they're coming back to excavate and haul away the dirt.
Highly recommended for do-it-yourselfers who don't have the time to do everything themselves. Money well spent and I'll be able to complete my project on time.

I got four estimates for a medium sized household clearing and remodel leftovers hauling job. I was so glad when wonderful Kevin showed up! Great price (the others seemed pretty absurd for the size), wonderful personal local business feeling from Kevin, best guys helping him (Rey and Renato).

This guy is a treasure! I am moving from one office to a smaller one on the same floor and had a load of junk that needed to go to the landfill...old file cabinets, broken chairs, and general junk that can't be recycled. I called Kevin based on his Yelp reviews and he was there within an hour!! He was friendly, professional, his rates are fair (he actually quoted me a rate over the phone) and a pleasure to work with. Along with the detritus there was one shopping bag of papers I forgot to recycle earlier. Kevin asked if he could drop it off at the recycle center or if it was sensitive material that should be shredded. I was impressed that he asked. Who else would have done that?!! He was in and out within a half-hour. Brilliant!
After years of dealing with "junk guys" who don't show up or are late and do a sloppy job, American Hauling just went to the front of my rolodex of can't-live-without companies. Rock on Kevin!! -

Ok, not really. I called Kevin on a Friday evening asking if he could dispose of my old mattress. 30 minutes later he was at my apartment and my mattress was gone. He charged me half of what he usually charges because I only had one item.
I would rather pay someone to haul my old mattress than deal with people shady people on Craigslist. True story. -

Kevin and crew showed up on time and completed the job is less time than expected. They went over and above what I had expected.
I was moving and had a bunch of stuff that had to go to the dump, but I also had one little antique dresser that I no longer wanted, had tried to sell but wasn't able to, and was just heart broken that it was going to get dumped. I explained all this to Kevin and he offered to take it to a resale place for me so it would have a chance at another life. Yay! -

I had Kevin and his crew come over demolish and take out about 70 lineal feet of fence with a concrete footing. They were highly efficient, came with the right tools, easy to work with and left the place cleaner than what they found it. The original bid he gave was very reasonable but the total cost ended up being 1/2 the original bid. He ended up working on an hourly rate with a not to exceed cost. I will hire him again if I ever need something like this done again. The best thing, he was easy to talk to and is a cool guy.

Kevin came out withing an hour of my calling and gave me a reasonable price for hauling a number of items from inside my house and on the side of the house, including concrete and construction waste. He and his crew were just fantastic - they were friendly, reliable and super efficient! I will totally recommend them to anyone!

Needed to get rid of a huge busted couch. Kevin happened to be nearby when I called- he came over in literally 20 minutes and took care of it! His prices are reasonable, not the absolute lowest. (But the OTHER hauling guy who quoted me $40 over the phone didn't call me back when he said he would, then cancelled at the last minute.) American Hauling has a minimum fee, I had them take some other junk to make it worthwhile. Friendly and prompt, would totally use again.

I just moved into a new house and the previous owners were kind enough to leave me copious amounts of trash along with a few beautiful pieces of broken furniture. I initially thought about an inaugural neighborhood bonfire but then decided that I should consult with a hauling company. Kevin answered the phone right away and within 24 hours was at my place picking it all up. I even had more than I initially told him about and he still took care of the job. Woudl highly recommend him to anyone needing to remove debris.

I had a mix of junk to have hauled away (styrofoam, scrap metal, wood scraps, cardboard, old chairs) and after reading the reviews here I called Kevin. He gave an estimate over the phone based on my description, came over the same day, and hauled everything away and gave me a few tips on other items I might be looking to dispose of.
The price was good, and I'd call American Hauling again if I need to get rid of anything. -

After demolishing my detached garage, the last thing I wanted to do is load a driveway's worth of wood, metal and junk into a truck and hauling it away. Kevin and crew loaded the ENTIRE garage into one load. in and out in under 2 hrs...even swept up afterwards. thanks again.

Once again Kevin and company did a great (and very reasonably priced) job hauling away concrete from my backyard. I like that they take the concrete to a recycler in Richmond so it doesn't end up in a landfill. I don't think I have any more concrete to pull out but I would call Kevin for any hauling job in the future. Thanks guys!

Agree with all the other 5 stars! Kevin and crew were at our house same afternoon as the call, on time, gave us a fair price, and were done hauling a backyard mess, pile of rubbish, in less than an hour! Certainly less time than we had been squabbling about whether to rent a truck or hire a friend's son to do the job! Thank you, Kevin and crew. Now we can get on with our lives and enjoy our back yard. Worth every penny.

I needed a structure removed quickly... Kevin called multiple times to make sure he could get there as soon as he could, and when he did, took care of it on the spot. His bid was more reasonable than the one other I received, and he was prompt and professional, and a generally nice guy. Then he called in advance to confirm a follow-up appointment and came when he said he would and did what he said he'd do! I couldn't ask for much more.

Kevin did a job on a day's notice. Called him Saturday morning since my yard and living room were overrun with debris during a DIY remodel. He bid it that afternoon and had the hauling done by the next afternoon. Reasonably priced, efficient, and professional. Will call him again!

I've used Kevin with American Hauling for years now as I have remodeled my house ( I can't believe it has taken me this long to post a review!). His rates are always the best and he is prompt and courteous. He works with me to make sure that my debris can be divided up appropriately and taken to the most cost effective locations. Concrete, building materials, junk, etc. he hauls it all! Thanks Kevin!
